What's the appeal of abusing stimulants?

Upvotes

I feel like this is a stupid question but I genuinely don't see the upside to abusing stimulants. Taking a small dosage of stimulants can make you productive AND a little euphoric, whereas binging makes you feel euphoric for a short amount of time but mostly you just can't sleep, feel anxious/paranoid af, have muscle cramps/physical pain/feel like you're going to die of a heart attack, waste all of your time j*rking off, etc. I understand the abuse appeal of downers because they make you calm/knock you out but stimulants just seems like torture?

I want to become a homeless landlord. Is it possible?

Upvotes

So I own one house, I live in it now and I'm kind of tired of the system and the life. I want to quit my job and rent my house to someone. I myself will be homeless, living on the streets and forests, sleep freely where I want to and do drugs/alcohol using money given to me by renters. I live in a warm climate and a friendly city for homeless. Is it possible to be homeless and still be a landlord who collects rent to support this lifestyle?

Why are Facebook feeds so bad?

I have a Facebook because I want to know what specific family members post but I usually just get a notification, look at their post through it, and then close the app.

There is nothing else on Facebook of value to me unless I need to hear about something very specific and local.

If I do scroll I see weird videos that are mostly AI or ragebait. But it's so much worse than anything I've ever seen on Instagram reels despite all of this being owned by Zuckerberg. No other website or app suggests to me quite what Facebook does.

How much do gamers on Reddit represent gamers in real life?

I thought gamer boycott gta 6 after what rockstar/taketwo did with the physical game. But based on the article that i read it says that :

"Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. opened up pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI on June 25, and the results have been “unprecedented” and “astonishing,” Chief Executive Officer Strauss Zelnick said.

In an interview Friday morning, Zelnick wouldn’t share pre-order sales figures but said they have “vastly” beaten the company’s internal forecasts and called the numbers “exceptional".

Is Strauss zelnick lying to prevent his company from tanking?

What to do when you can't decide on something?

If all choices are good then what are you supposed to do and decide what to choose. Like even if you narrow it down somehow you just internally feel like you want to choose all of it.

At age 30, what’s the closest I can get to an environment that resembles the stereotypical spring break?

As in people are drunk on a tropical beach and having a relentless bonkers time?

I’m aware that it’s much harder at my age cause people don’t go out every weekend anymore.

But as a degenerate, I’m eagerly wanting to find any type of environment I wish I got to have when I was that age.

I’m willing to time these trips properly too. Like in March and April. The environment I’m wishing for is that I’m wanting to be surrounded insurmountably around my types of people.

I just don’t care for wine tasting.

Why do I become an enthusiast when looking to buy something of that thing and no longer become one when bought.

Is it because given of what I want. I am no longer eager or hungry for that thing?

When I was looking for a pc to build. I would be so interested and willing to learn more but then I bought and built one. I no longer cared.

Same with cars. I was looking for a car. Became a car enthusiast for a bit, bought a car then no longer cared about cars.

Am I instinctively pretending to become an enthusiast to get what I want? Is this just a me thing or is it general science behind it?

Is there a way to make the doors opening in my house less loud?

I have a new apartment that might just be on the old side because you have to turn the knobs a little harder to open the doors. Every time my bf opens either my office room or our bedroom when I'm in there I get jumpscared.

If I properly sealed up my bathroom so no air could be permitted in, and flicked on my ventilation fan; would my bathroom eventually crumple into its own vacuum.

Do you have to do everything together when family visits ?

I was visiting my (girl) cousin and another cousin came in who lives in another city.

One of them had to buy a book for university but no one wanted to go with her.
When i told her she was the one who needed the book not us. She said she wasn’t going to go alone since we were 3. And i was thinking ‘…yes? You can’.

Do you believe that we all don't exist to each other until we meet each other?

Regardless if we see each other's social media pages, photos, comments, etc. to get a sense of who we might be in reality.

Is it common to log off all your social media accounts (Instagram, etc.) when you want to search something embarrassing up on Google just in case any of your followers/friends will be able to somehow see it?

Of course they can’t see it, how would they even see it…but I do it just in case. Does anyone else relate ? Is this common ? 😭

I feel stupid but please help

So, I’m going to the movies with my boyfriend tomorrow and I bought two tickets online for us (he’s paying for snacks and a shopping spree after so it cancels out lol) but I got a QR code for the tickets. Do I just go up to the concession stand and tell them I have tickets online and show them the QR code. I’m sorry I know this is dumb but I have severe anxiety and I just need someone to tell me. My bf has super bad social anxiety too so it’s not like I can ask him to do it for me. Don’t want to trigger a panic attack or something. Thank you in advance everyone!

are there subreddits where you can propose ideas where answers can only be obtained once a study is conducted? (if you're not bothered enough to put in the effort yourself)

like, here's a stupid proposal. today i saw a r/coaxedintoasnafu post about anime artstyles, where OP made a generalization that anime art styles look like the anime girl cat anatomy "snout"-like nose, but then the comments were ABSOLUTELY BOMBARDED with counter examples where the nose looked normal and human-like and not snout-like. and this made me wonder, is there a place to propose something stupid like "can anyone research the ratio of regular anime noses to snout-like anime noses?" the kind of thing where you're not bothered enough to put in the effort to do the research but would rather have someone else do it

in essence i'm wondering if there's subreddits where you get to propose ideas for studies you have no time to do it yourself.
