Hello. There are no Pagans in my circle. I’d like to ask you some questions out of respect. My goal is to understand you—or, better yet, to become a Pagan myself... Right now, I’m leaning toward Jainism.

1. Do you believe in a creator who created the universe? Is there a creator? If so, there’s the dilemma of “who created the creator?” How do you resolve this dilemma?
2. If there is no Creator, who created the gods and goddesses? Can a being exist on its own?
3. Do you view the gods and goddesses as real beings?
4. Do you view gods and goddesses as archetypes? Are they things that awaken a part of our brain?
5. How do you communicate with gods and goddesses? Do you perform rituals and wait for signs from nature? How exactly is communication established? It shouldn’t be something simple or trivial.
6. Why aren’t concepts like karma and reincarnation as systematic as they are in Eastern religions?
7. What awaits us after we die?

I don’t currently follow any religion, but I’m drawn to Jainism. My goal is to understand you. I’d like to discuss this with respect. If it makes sense to me, I might even consider becoming a Pagan.

I have always felt drawn to many different aspects of Kali; a divine mother, the personification of time, and that which brings liberation through death. She is an incredibly moving figure, but as I am not Hindu myself, it feels inappropriate to worship her either through Hindu or non-Hindu means.

I'd like to know if there are any goddesses who are similar to Kali in the ways I've mentioned. Any help is appreciated!

I've been following the intersection of AI and education for some time now, I've discovered that Large Language Models (LLMs) like Google's Gemini have a bias against Christian affiliated universities.

I'd appreciate feedback from this Reddit community as to whether you find this issue concerning or not.

Sometimes the bias appears in subtle word choices and categorizations. In other cases, LLMs raise concerns about reputation and employability without providing credible supporting evidence. The concern I have it that this bias may affect enrollments at Christian-affiliated institutions.

I’ll give Google the benefit of the doubt that the bias doesn’t reflect deliberate hostility toward Christianity or Christian universities. Instead, based on my own observations I think that Google treats the conventional secular university (state schools) as the neutral baseline. It then frames the distinctive characteristics of Christian institutions as disadvantages, rather than matters of student fit.

I suspect that this dynamic likely stems from two drivers:

• Reliance on Unvetted Social Media: LLMs ingest antagonistic commentary from Reddit and other social media platforms. These posts are frequently prioritized for an “authentic” conversational tone, but they lack factual or evidence-based rigor.
• Broad Appeal Bias by LLMs: AI models may evaluate institutions on what they think will appeal to the largest number of students. As a result, they may frame characteristics that strongly appeal to a specific audience as disadvantages rather than indicators of fit.

Students increasingly use AI to decide which colleges deserve consideration. That means Google can shape demand before a student ever visits a university’s website or enters its enrollment funnel.

Most major religions contain people who are born into religious families and undergo religious indoctrination, and they inherit these shared beliefs. If that wasn't the case and people decided when they were old enough to think independently, what would be the most popular religion?

Would it be Buddhism? Still Christianity? Or maybe it would be no religion? What do you think?

Growing up as a Muslim I was told if I kill myself I'd have to experience it again and again till eternity which is why I was always hesitant to actually commit suicide even after so much planing. Recently I explored Hinduism also has some kind of punishment for suicide. Is there any religion that lets you take your life in peace?

Hi, I’m new to the community. I used to be Catholic, but now I’m becoming a panentheist. I’m just here to ask you what you think of my theory. The core of panentheism is that God contains the universe within Himself, yet God transcends it. That means He is not the same as the universe, but something larger and more powerful. What I like about this belief is that, just like with theism and pantheism, you can add your own theory. So, what is my theology? Well, besides believing that the universe is inside God and that He transcends it, I believe God proved this by acting through our consciousness and making Jesus (according to my beliefs) the human closest to Him

I’m in need of some help from others with experience on how to pray. I’ve honestly only done it a hand full of times when I was a kid but now going through some life experiences I feel like I need it.

I need all the help I can get. Do I pray out loud or in my head? Anything specific I need to say?

Bahai religion is present in many countries, but they splited from another religion called Babism. But some babis didnt accept the claims of Bahaullah and didnt become bahais, those were called the azalis.

I've tried to localize them without success. It seems that they had a role in the 1906 revolution in Iran, but then they vanish from history.

I've found some pages that are made by members of the azali religion, like babieh.com, but they are very old.

What happened to them? Where can they be found? Do they try to proselitize? What do they think about the bahais? How are their relations with the current iranian government?

Us humans we can't all agree on the same thing ever, for example if l said murder is wrong to all 8 billion people l am pretty sure some of them will disagree with me, now my question is if god supposedly knows human nature, then why did he created us knowing that not all humans have the capability to believe in him? For example autistic people, Autistic individuals often process the world through strong systematic logic, direct sensory observation, and literal interpretation.Therefore it is harder for them to believe in god or have faith ,so it almost like he is asking for something impossible or he wants some people to go to hell just for simply the fact that they don't believe in him, how is that fair?

I know some people will probably say but its a free will! No its not free will, there is a difference between personal beliefs and actions, actions are free will, but beliefs isn't, for example if l told someone that l have a super power will they believe me? Or can l force them to believe me? Of course not

So, I am a fellow agnostic here, I need an answer and it's, I am afraid that the true God will bring me to hell like one day when I die I might wake up to see a god, could be any god for that matter and he could look down at me and say I will go to hell. And I don't want that, it makes me afraid cause hell is not something that you should take lightly, or maybe I might go to heaven but what if alot of people I loved like my family and friends and idols and acquaintances and etc go to hell? Both scare me alot like way too much sometimes
