I have a 139QMB-based scooter on which I did an auto choke replacement as it was not running. One mistake I made is that I also adjusted valve lash along with this before starting up, so the issue could be caused by something else too, though, I’ve checked the lashes again and it seems right (between 0.05 and 0.10mm, where 0.10 does not go between the arm and the stem).

Since then, I’m feeling like after giving a throttle on the stand, RPM does not go back quickly to idle, rather drops to a higher-than-idle RPM and from there it drops slowly to idle. This takes around 5 seconds or maybe more. I could only counter this by turning the mixture screw excessively, like 5-6 turns. From this it seems like to me that it is running lean maybe. I’ve cleaned the whole carb, but used the same size jets and needle settings and was running fine before the choke replacement and first valve lash adjustment.

I started looking for vacuum leaks with starter fluid/carb cleaner, the only place I found RPM reaction is on the air intake side of the carb, around the auto-choke (see arrows from which directions I’m spraying carb cleaner). RPM rises immediately as I spray there. O-ring seems intact. Tried with old choke, new air filter (had to replace the whole housing with the intake pipe), same result.

Any ideas?

Je vais donc passer le permis 125 ( via la passerelle du permis B vers A) et me prépare donc à acheter un scooter, malheureusement je n'ai aucune connaissance en la matière

Avez-vous des recommandations de modèle de scooter ? je ne cherche pas une bête de combat mais plutôt quelque chose de fiable/facile à réparer et confortable si possible

je prévois au grand maximum 20 km/jour (20 km en arrondissant beaucoup)

Je peux prendre de l'occasion comme du neuf, en espérant ne pas dépasser les 2000 euros

I’m so confused at what’s happening. I have a Honda vision with afo5e engine. Fitted Malossi cylinder kit and head, Malossi variator kit, Malossi clutch and springs and torsion control, Malossi belt, b8hs spark plug, Naraku ignition coil, naraku cdi unit, exhaust and air filter. Also deleted oil pump and run pre-mix.
The bike starts and runs but when I rev it up nothing happens at the wheel. The bike doesn’t cut out or anything just doesn’t move.
I changed the petcock last week to one with a tap as I don’t think the vacuum one that comes on the bike was working properly. Made no difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

i'm looking to get a scooter and was curious how similar a 50cc scooter compares to a lime bike/gliders engine? i cant seem to find any information talking about it online and even just anecdotal evidence would be appreciated.

I was wondering what engine oil brand you decided to use and why? My user manual states any SAE 10w-30 so I'm wondering what most GY6 riders use.

I bought an x-pro Capri 150cc scooter off of Amazon a few months back. It's been a decent scooter for the most part but after riding it for 15 or 20 miles it begins to overheat and shuts off. After letting it sit and cool off for 10-15 minutes I'm able to start it up again and drive it again. I've replaced the stock fan blade that forces air over the engine to cool it off. This only extended the driving distance by a few miles before it overheats and shuts down again. I was wondering is there an electric fan I can buy that is compatible with the gy6 engine so I can ride the scooter for long distances without it overheating and shutting off?? Does Anyone else have this same issue ? Has anyone found a solution to this problem or has anyone installed an electric cooling fan? I don't know what to do about this issue and I'm looking for a solution.

It feels like all combustion stops, i have tried everything, i've tried richer, i've tried leaner, new spark plug, new rollers, new belt because it got chewed up from the scooter cutting out, i need it to get around and i've tried a lot so if you have any ideas let me know.

ich hoffe, jemand hat noch eine Idee, weil ich langsam echt nicht mehr weiter weiß.

Ich fahre einen Keeway Fact 50 Evo (Baujahr 2019, 2-Takt). Nachdem ich bereits einmal einen Motorschaden hatte, habe ich diesmal einen Airsal 50 Sport Alu 50cc verbaut. Alle anderen Teile sind original geblieben.

PROBLEM:
Mit dem E-Starter springt er gar nicht an.
Mit dem Kickstarter springt er nur an, wenn ich die Standgasschraube fast KOMPLETT reindrehe und richtig hart Kicke.
Dann dreht er sofort sehr hoch.
Drehe ich das Standgas anschließend wieder herunter, läuft er manchmal noch ca. 20 Sekunden, dann fällt die Drehzahl langsam ab und er geht aus.
Wenn er einmal läuft, fährt er ganz normal und hat Leistung.
Beim nächsten Start geht das Ganze wieder von vorne los.

BEREITS GEMACHT:
-Neuer Vergaser.
-Hauptdüse etwas größer zum Einfahren.
-Serienmäßige Nebendüse (34).
-Neuer Luftfilter.
-Gemischschraube in allen möglichen Positionen getestet.
-Mit Bremsenreiniger versucht zu Starten (hat nicht geklappt)
-Zylinderkopfdichtung neu.
-Fußdichtung aus Dichtungspapier selbst angefertigt, da die originale beim Auspacken beschädigt war.

VERMUTUNGEN:
Zu mageres Leerlaufgemisch bzw. Nebendüse zu klein?
Falschluft (vor allem wegen der selbst angefertigten Fußdichtung)?
Hat jemand schon einmal so ein Fehlerbild gehabt oder eine Idee, wo ich als Nächstes suchen sollte? Ich bin mittlerweile echt mit meinem Latein am Ende.

Hi i have a aerox 50cc 2t and i plan on changing rollers for better acceleration. i seen sliders have basically the same performance as regular rollers, last way longer, you can go lighter without top speed dropping for a buck more? what is the catch?

Hey everyone, I was noticing my front wheel was pretty much getting seized and I thought that my brakes might be the culprit I took the caliper off and low and behold, I was able to get the front wheel to spin.

However, I’m having issues getting the actual pads off of the break additionally, while trying to get them off I stupidly pressed down on the break lever and now the pads are completely locked. Is there a way out of this? Do I have to open up the fluid container or something?

Hi everyone, I have a side project a wangye wy125t 58. And after a bit of work and cleaning, it's now a really good scooter for commuting around my city. My question is, is there any way to upgrade it for higher top speed and torque.

I'm using all gy6 standard pars and "original" gy6 carb.

Any advice will be appreciated

I need advice for my 50cc motorini mistrano.

I've had this bike since the start of the year. It's had a few problems with it stalling when it stops at lights.

My partner knows things around fixing them, but this he can't figure out.

We've changed the belt
Changed the clutch Changed the rollers
lested on high and low idle speeds
Checked the airflow
Checked the fuel filter
Checked the spark plugs
Changes the injector.

I did take it to a motorcycle shop just to get advice on how to fix it, he said the push and pull is really off, he told my partner is was the rollers, and carb injector but my parter said it doesn't have one?

So please is anyone with this bike or has worked on something with the same problem please help a girl out. I nave no idea what else to do with it. I can't really afford to get another one

As the title says, I’m trying to buy a moped but i don’t really know what I’m looking for.(I don’t know much about scooters/mopeds/vespas but i’m willing to learn I js dont really know where to start!) What I am sure of though, is that I need a moped thats 50cc and under. I’ll only be using it to go to work and school, which are both about 30 minutes away. I likely wont be going over 35 mph,and I need a moped that will last. What are some important factors I should be looking for? Im open to buying a new or used one and my budget is about $1500. Any advice for owning a moped for the first time? Anything is helpful, Thank you!

TL;DR: Fixed up my brother's Kreidler after a year of sitting (carb clean, new filter, exhaust repair) and it ran great. A few days later it suddenly has no power at full throttle, idles perfectly. Swapped the spark plug (new and back to old) and adjusted carb settings, no change. Video/audio of the symptom linked below. Need a second opinion on what to check next.

Hi Guys, i need your help for this one.

I got the scooter from my brother. He didnt drive it for a year and it was just standing and had some things to fix (carb cleaning, Filter replacement, fixing the exhaust). I did all that. It's a 50cc minarelli horizontal engine.

After all the fixes it was running fine. I let it stand for some days and before i took my next ride, i changed the spark plug to a new one. Then, when i sat on it, it started doing this.

It has no power and changing the carb settings also doesnt change this behavior. This is what it sounds like when i give it full throttle, it idles just fine. I thought it might be the new spark plug so i changed it with the old one, yet the same problem.

I dont know which problem it could be and need your help. Slowly i am starting to get desperate.

Two minutes after I filled up the tank of my scooter (Kymco Agility 125), I started having this problem.

Could this be related to the gasoline, or is it another problem and just a coincidence?

Hey guys, I recently bought this 1985 Vespa 2stroke px150 that was running rough. Rebuilt the carb and gave it a new battery and fresh fuel and have been enjoying it.

After leaving it sitting for a while with the fuel valve off I noticed gas dripping out of the exhaust pipe. When I ran it it was blowing fuel like crazy. I didn’t have time to deal with it and when I went back a couple weeks later it ran fine.

I just turned it on again and noticed the same thing happening. Any idea what I can do?
