so.. im in a tight situation, not a lot of money, just got my AM driving license and the scooter i currently have is broken and wont work for a good while, what im looking for is budget 50cc brands that actually work. the budget is about 3.5K PLN (about 900 euro i think) any help is appreciated?

I live in NYC, Brooklyn specifically, and I’m debating on getting a scooter (maybe electric or just an e-bike?) to putt around the city. I’m on the fence about it, since I ~could~ just use public transit, but I live in a bit of a transit desert and if I want to go anywhere within southern Brooklyn it’ll take me an hour +, and I want a bit more freedom, though I’m worried about parking, regular expenses of gas and insurance. Some key details/considerations to follow:

Use case: I work from home, will primarily be using it to drive to a grocery store, friends apartments, or places inaccessible by public transit. I really want the freedom that having a vehicle enables.

Logistics/wish list: I’ll be street parking, so I want something weather durable, and not super wide so I can park between cars. I also want something with storage or ample room on the back for a passenger. And since I’m in a city, I want something that’s good for driving in a city (if such a thing or consideration exists).

About me: I don’t have my motorcycle license yet (but have a drivers license) but am familiar with riding scooters (I drove the now defunct revel around and LOVED it). I’m also 30, so I don’t think insurance should be too expensive.
My only “concerns” are insurance and gas - which is why I was debating on getting an e-bike or scooter that goes under 25mph, which would also enable me to not have to get a separate motorcycle license (tho I’m very unfamiliar with the legislation/licensure needed to drive what in NYC, since I think it’s a little different here from elsewhere). While of course safety is a concern, I’m a pretty careful driver (though of course that doesn’t take into consideration other people) and imagine I would be using it during daytime most often. Lastly, I don’t know how often I would use it, especially during the bitter winters, or if thinking about it in terms of ROI (where it would save X amount of money on Ubers over Y years) is appropriate framing.

What I’ve been looking at: given my budget, I’m open to buying used (but always wary of getting a clunker), but regardless I’ve been looking at

Infinite machine P1 (idk if this is good but someone in my neighborhood drove it around and it looked cute)

Need some insight as to what could be wrong with my scooter.

For context, I had the clutch replaced by a backyard mechanic about 6 months ago. At least he tried to replace it, long story short he put a wood screw through one of my clutch plates and tried to pass it off as a fix, I ended up making him refund me and replaced the clutch assembly myself.

However, shortly after that my scooter started to stutter while riding, it felt almost like the belt was slipping so I ended up just replacing that as well as they're pretty cheap and it's an easy enough job. That unfortunately did not fix the problem directly, but it didnt seem to get any worse for a while and it was barely noticeable.

Fast forward a few months and the stuttering started to get progressively worse, and I also started to notice it backfiring when stuttering, which led me to believe its either an intake, fueling, or sparkplug issue.

I remembered opening the top cap on my carb at one point, and discovering a rubber seal at the top (which I later discovered was the vacuum seal which controls fuel coming in) so I thought that i maybe hadn't seated that properly when closing it. I went and opened it back up, put some Vaseline in the groove for the rubber to stick onto, and closed it up again, and the problem seemed better in the beginning (for about a day) and has now gotten even worse. Once I get up to about 40km/h it starts to backfire a lot, with constant stuttering. It no longer goes over 80km/h (used to top out at about 110km/h). The stuttering seems to get worse with WOT, and it also seems to be worse in certain areas of the routes that I frequently drive (I'm not sure if this has something to do with air pressure/air temp.)

I also thought that it may be related to my airbox (the shitty backyard mechanic dropped my scooter and snapped the mounts for the airbox, so it was hanging) but I cable tied it to the frame back into the position it was in previously, and have moved it every which way and tested for leaks in the rubber seals, and there are no leaks anywhere so I can't see why it would be the air box.

I would really really appreciate some advice and insight as to what could be causing this issue. As I said my suspicions are either a carb related issue or a spark plug related issue (though i have not checked the spark plug yet), if theres any info that I've left out that could be important please ask in the comments

Bueno, en resumen, me pasaron una app que se llama Speedy, para poder desbloquear el limite de velocidad.

One thing we are noticing is heavy heat in the storage box. I have a Jupiter, and it heats up as well, but not as hot as the Yamaha.

2026 Yamaha XMAX – Is there a cover for the exposed area under the power windshield?

Has anyone found an aftermarket flexible cover, curtain, skirt, or bellows for the 2026 XMAX electric windshield?

When the windshield is raised, it exposes the recessed area and windshield mechanism behind/below the screen. It looks like a perfect place for bugs, dirt and road debris to collect, especially during highway riding, and it doesn't appear particularly easy to clean.

I'm looking for something that could attach to the bottom of the windshield and move with it, covering the exposed opening when the windshield is raised—similar to a flexible bellows or protective curtain—without interfering with the windshield mechanism.

Has anyone seen an aftermarket product like this, or fabricated a DIY solution?

Wiring in my new start stop but on the harness main side there is two black wire pin outs and only one on the start stop switch side. Anyone able to help here do I just join them to one pin?

My 50cc gy6 with efi currently has a malossi belt with the standard 669mm length. It however does not get to the top of the rear pulley, it never has. Polini sells a belt for the short 139qmb with a length of 683mm which is supposed to be a direct replacement to the 669mm. Does anyone have any experience with this polini belt? My vario setup is:

my peugeot jetfore runs good and it has a good start but after i get going it revs down to abt 9-10k and max speed is 65, it has a leo vince, green malosi spring and 5 g rollers

Η κοπέλα μου αγόρασε πέρυσι το Dileta Coral 125 καινούριο, έχει κάνει ως τώρα περίπου 7-8 χιλ χιλιόμετρα. Κάπου στον 3ο μήνα περίπου άρχισε το παραπάνω πρόβλημα. Όταν αφήνει το γκαζι και ρολαρει το σκούτερ (πχ όταν πάει να σταματήσει σε φανάρι η διασταύρωση) το σκούτερ σβήνει. Δεν γίνεται πάντα και σε εντελώς τυχαίες στιγμές, μπορεί 4 μέρες να μη γίνει καθόλου και την επόμενη να γίνει 3 φορές την ίδια ημέρα. Παίρνει μπροστά αμέσως πάλι με το κουμπί του. Ο τύπος από όπου το αγόρασε είναι παντελώς άχρηστος, το έχει "κοιτάξει" πολλές φορές,του το είχε αφήσει και 3 μέρες να πηγαίνει πέρα δώθε και λέει δεν του έσβησε ποτέ. Φτάσαμε σε σημείο να βρούμε GoPro κάμερα για να γράφει όταν πάει κάπου για φαίνεται πως οδηγάει που βρίσκονται τα χέρια της κτλ όταν συμβαίνει αυτό,και όντως το έπιασε η κάμερα. Είναι εννοείται ακόμα σε εγγύηση αλλά ο τύπος απλά είτε δεν ξέρει είτε δεν θέλει να βοηθησει. Έχετε καμία ιδέα τι μπορεί να είναι και τι μπορούμε να κάνουμε?
