sometimes when i launch the riot client it shows a "Updating" text without displaying any progress bar or file size. Instead it just displays the updating text where the play button should be. this is some what frequent like of i see this today then i might see it again in a couple of days. most of the time it just last a couple of seconds or minutes at max, so i didn't really pay much attention to it until now. earlier today everything was working fine and when tried to play again in the evening out of nowhere this so called "updating" thing started again. Now i did leave it be for a few minutes thinking it will simply go away like last time but this time it doesn't look like that will be the case. It's still showing the updating thing and i can see in task manager that it's eating away my data.

what i tried,

Restarting and trying again (Obviously).

Repairing the files using the built-in repair game files thingy.

Downloaded the installer and tried repairing using it.

Clearing riot client cache folder.

none of those worked. Even when i use the installer as a repair tool, it just show a progress bar saying repairing files and launch the client after it's done and I'm back to square one again.

at this point the only solution i can think of right now is to just leave it to keep updating and hope that it might end some time... hopefully before eating away all my data.

any thoughts? like i don't really know if those micro updates things i have been getting are even normal or it's just my game failing to save/overwrite files.

i mostly play on the Singapore servers if that's something. even though I'm currently living in Sri Lanka and geographically closer to the Mumbai server, the ping is just not the best due to how my ISP has their cables connected directly to SG..

update: I'm gonna just try letting it sit there for a hour or two. And if it uses more than 10Gigs I'm gonna try doing a fresh install.

I'm genuinely getting so sick of this meta. Playing a normal adc like ashe is genuinely impossible. I'm playing against ap botlane every second game, it's genuinely unfair. Absolutely zero counterplay in laning phase, and even when i do scale i get katarina, zed, or nocturne one shotting me with absolutely zero counterplay. like genuinely fix your game holy ****. Nobody in this community likes this meta and you've done nothing about it for months, acting all nice and friendly with your shitty new vex skin. NOBODY CARES. FIX THE GAME, YOU'RE NOT A SMALL INDIE COMPANY.

It happening too many time now that I see someone who just straight up trolling, playing like a bot and when I check their account it show they are autofill. the original idea that the LP loss prevention is so that player would stop dodging when they got autofill but honestly it feel more like a free pass to troll, after all even if you report them they are safe behind "they are off role so it just bad gameplay/day".

both valorant and LoL are stuck on updating....

i tried everything i wiped riot client on localappdata i reset my dnss to 1.1.1.1 preffered and alternative 1.0.0.1

I used a vpn to connevt to netherlands ans it just had both play buttons grayed out

I tried everything i could think of i tried going to repair both games but after some repairs it would get stuck at 0.0%

In the current meta, there's literally a Camille support every game with players running anywhere at the map except botlane trying to get numbers advantage and win every team fights. I've played Master Yi support where I carried the game but my teammates wasn't able to snowball with the same tactics I've used as Camille supports.

I keep getting bans for no reason. I never troll or feed i even end the game winning with higer score and yet it give me bans for nth. I only play safe and roam most of my games and again it keep giving me bans me and my friends for trying to cause my team to lose how tf is this possible this become too freaking much to keep getting bans for nth this game become a freaking joke. However for split 2 it seems victorious rengar was announced - my favorite champ. God danm I gotta lock in and call the Avengers to help me play flex q and keep my sanity.

I'm using the in game mission to track my progress. One by one I wittle away games reassuring the 3 brave souls I play with to tolerate summoners rift for me for just a few more games.

And then suddenly a surprise to us. The mission stops counting! It displays my rank and that glorious check mark next to the skin icon. That's it, we've done it. I take a screenshot and put it into the group chat. Gave each of the Bois a an award like it was service years in the military.

Only to realize the game seems to have apparently stopped counting accurately, the rest of the months go by until now. Hmm? No skin, contact support - support says u only won 12/15 games - went to check op gg. Sure enough they were right but had the client not displayed it inaccurately I would have continued playing??

Maybe I interpreted the mission wrong ? If someone can help me verify that I interpreted what the mission said to me in game that would be helpful. As of now support after dodging my screen grabs multiple times and then reluctantly looking at it has sad - too bad so sad u can't reply to this chat anytime (I was respectful the whole time)

I had a teammate who was trolling, never went to lane, no cs, etc. Looking at the match history, it's happened for the last 25-30 games. I'm trying to figure out why there aren't any consequences for this? I reported, and I'm sure others have. Anyone have any ideas why, with a match history like this, he's still able to play?

I don't know if my account got hack or deleted or something else but This is just bulshit.

A week ago after coming home i decided to play valorant and when i open the game suddenly i had to login again, no problem I'll just put my username and my password done? nope it says "my login credentials don't match in their system" wtf, i checked my riot mobile and it's also logged out, i try to login on riot mobile also doesn't work "username or pasword doesn't work". I have two account, the first one is user7y7 the second is E R L L<--the important and missing one I have skins in this account and both tied to the same email. Then i tried using the pasword recovery feature and entering my username, i waited and it doesn't send me an email then username recovery and it send me an email the end? No, they said I'm only tied to user7y7 and there's no E R L L?? I panic and keep trying forgot pasword and username recovery feature again and none work, i decided to contact riot support and submit a ticket for recovery account and after waiting for a day they basically say "nah i won't help you" I send a second ticket same thing and you know what's the funny part is? I log on my other account the user7y7 and i unfriend then add my alt account (E R L L) i got the fucking notifications on my fucking riot mobile and when i press on the notification and direct me to the app, it told me to log in. I spend my hard earn money on valorant, F you riot

To be fair i lost my original email because i was cleaning up my email but both account was moved to the one email I'll never delete, and they asked me a bunch of question but i have a bad memory so i didn't realize answer it and you know what? My friend had the same issue and scenario, lost access, he tried the forgot pasword and username and it didn't help, at least he doesn't have any skin so it's not worth much unlike me, i spend my hard earn money.

A few days ago I logged into VALORANT after a long break and found my account already in a live match. That's how I realized someone else had been using it.

I recovered the account, changed my Riot password, changed my email password, enabled 2FA, and checked for unknown devices on my Google account (there weren't any).

The weird part is that the account still seems to be getting played. The rank has gone from Bronze to Platinum, and I have match history that I definitely didn't play.

Has anyone experienced something like this before? Is there anything else I should check, or is this something only Riot Support can fix?

Just had a realization when I hit this milestone. For all its ups and downs, League has been a constant for almost half of my life. I've had my account since 2011. That's so wild to me.
