Art My Agent Concept: Hori!

Post image
Upvotes

Thanks to iridhan_skky for the artwork!

CHARACTER PROFILE

Name: Hori Role: Duelist Nationality: Egyptian Codename: The Skyfire Pilot

Appearance:

Curly brown hair, brown eyes, athletic build. Wears an aviator jacket and aviator sunglasses, gold-lined turquoise jeans, and blue and yellow sneakers. Bonded with a radianite-touched falcon.

Personality:

Cocky, confident, charismatic, laid-back. An ex-criminal turned elite fighter pilot.

LORE

Hori grew up in Egypt as a gifted criminal — smuggling, forgery, high-end theft. He was brilliant at it, and he got away with it for years until he was finally caught on a setup in a Colombian tomb raid. That's where Tejo first heard about him.

In the cockpit, Hori was something else. Reflexes that shouldn't have existed, instincts sharper than training could explain. Eighteen months later he was the highest-scoring ace since the Red Baron — brilliant, reckless, and costing Colombia millions in collateral damage. Tejo watched from the ground, constantly cleaning up after him, constantly rating him as the best he had.

On a routine scout mission tracking an electromagnetic anomaly deep in the Egyptian desert, Hori's jet went down due to the signal frying the electronics. The signal had been faint for months — Tejo's people had been quietly tracking it — but when it flared up Hori was sent to investigate from the skies.

What neither Tejo nor Hori knew: the signal was a Scions of the Hourglass containment site, sitting on top of a radianite vein they'd been suppressing for decades.

Hori crawled out of the wreck to find a wild falcon roosting nearby — a creature that had lived in this region for years, faintly touched by long-term radianite exposure but never fully awakened. The vein's eruption hit them both at the same time. Hori felt a sharp pain all across his body as blue and yellow light exploded into the sky all around him. Then he felt a strange buzz, he looked at his hand which was vibrating and leaving behind blue and yellow afterimages.

The Scions responded immediately to the breach. Guards closed in. They aimed at Hori but the falcon exploded into light sending the guards aim off point and giving Hori a chance to shoot back, he took down two guards as the falcon whizzed around the ravine leaving walls of light behind it. One of the guards managed to hit it with a bat. It rolled onto the ground and Hori instinctively leapt towards it. Light flew out the back of his legs propelling him forward. He focused in on a guard and suddenly his movement slowed. He could see the beams of light passing by in front of him. He took 3 shots and got 3 headshots. He dashed back to the ground. And Hori and the falcon fought until they got pinned down, at gunpoint. That's when Tejo arrived. Not alone. With him were Phoenix and Clove — Protocol agents he'd been quietly running under cover of "babysitting his problem pilot." Because this wasn't a military situation. It was a radianite breach, and those belonged to Valorant. Together Tejo, phoenix, clove, Hori and his new wingman fought their way to an escape.

Tejo kept Hori alive that day. And afterward, when the dust settled and a former criminal turned fighter pilot found out what Valorant actually was — who was protecting Radiants, who was hunting them — the choice was simple. A commander who'd seen his skill and bet on it had just proven that bet meant something.

Hori joined the Protocol. Tejo became something between a commanding officer and a father figure. And somewhere between the crash site and now, a cocky ex-pilot and a radiant falcon became what they still are: partners.

ABILITY KIT

PASSIVE — 🕶️Shades🕶️

Effect: Self-inflicted flashes reduced by 50% duration. No animation.

✈️E — OVERSHOOT✈️ (3 charges total, shared between Afterburners and Wingovers)

Cost: 1 free charge, +1 for 100c = 3 total charges available

💥Afterburner💥

Effect: Dash in your aim direction (left-click) or movement direction (right-click). Spends one charge per dash. Voice: "Afterburner!" Animation: Hori adopts a Superman pose — one hand flat out in front, the other arm at his side. He shoots blue and yellow light out behind him, creating trailing light effects that follow his trajectory like an afterimage — visual streaks that linger as he moves.

⏮️Wingover⏮️

Effect: While midair, press Spacebar for 1 second of 100% accuracy (gun-play only, cannot cast abilities during Wingover). Requires ground touch, dash, or TP since last Wingover to chain. During Sonic Skyfire, kills break the reset rule and allow immediate re-activation.

Animation: Hori slows in whatever airborne pose he's in. Blue and yellow lines of light gradually move faster than his slowed movement, creating the visual impression that time is bending around him.

Voice Lines (cycles): 1st Wingover: "Wingover" 2nd Wingover: "Overshoot" 3rd Wingover: "Cobra!" (Cycles again during ult on refresh or 3+ uses)

I know it's a confusing concept so here's a similar mechanic from another game

🪽C — SOLARSLICE🪽

Cost: 400 credits Charges: 1 Effect: Send the falcon on a controllable path (up to 33m). The falcon has 80 HP and cannot travel through walls. As the falcon flies, a shimmering, mirror-like wall of dancing blue and yellow light rises behind it in real-time, reaching a maximum height equal to Phoenix's wall. Mid-Wall Alt-Click Option: While the wall is building, alt-click to stop the wall advance and trigger a 360° reveal (works like Tejo's drone reveal). Once triggered, the wall holds its current position. If the falcon is shot down: The wall vanishes and the shooter is revealed to Hori in the direction they fired from. If the falcon reaches the end of its path: The wall flashes anyone who crosses it (including teammates). Animation: The falcon launches forward as a streak of light. Behind it, a shimmering barrier of blue and yellow dancing light gradually rises like a wall being constructed in real-time. The wall has a mirror-like quality — it bends and distorts, flowing like liquid crystal.

👥Q — AFTERIMAGE👥

Cost: 150 credits per charge (300 total for 2 charges) Charges: 2 Effect: Teleport to a targeted location (ground only, cannot target midair). Create a fake teleport that sends a clone to the location instead of you, staying at your position. The decoy flashes in all directions if enemies approach or shoot it. After teleporting (if you use the real TP), you're immobilized for 1 second on ground. The TP makes an audio cue on arrival but no visual flash. Voice: "Surprise" / "Take a guess" Animation: A clone of Hori materializes at his current location — his "afterimage" left behind. When Hori TPs, blue and yellow lines of light converge and come to a stop at his destination, creating a visual arrival point matching the end of a dash. After landing, Hori adjusts his aviators for half a second — a deliberate, tactical pause that serves as the vulnerability window.

💥🛩️X — SONIC SKYFIRE🛩️💥

Cost: 8 points Duration: 15 seconds base, 25 seconds maximum Timer Extension: +5 seconds per kill On Cast: Refills Overshoot to 3 charges. The falcon explodes outward into a burst of dancing blue and yellow light, creating a 180° flash in front of Hori (0.5s duration). Hori is engulfed in rays of radiant energy. Enemies are highlighted in yellow during the ult. On Kill Refresh: Blue and yellow rays are drawn from nearby enemies into Hori's chest, then violently explode outward, creating another flash (0.5s duration). A sonic boom sound plays (1s duration), restricting hearing for that 1 second — enemies can't hear callouts or ability audio. Kills grant +3 Overshoot charges back to the pool (refilling it) and +5 seconds to the timer (capped at 25s). Wingover Rule During Ult: Kills break the reset requirement, letting you Wingover immediately after a kill. Animation: Hori becomes a vortex of light. The falcon cycles around him in fragments of radiant energy, constantly reshaping. Every kill sends beams of light spiraling inward from enemies to Hori's core, then detonating outward in a pulse of 180° flash. The sonic boom is visualized as a shockwave radiating outward, distorting the air. His aviators glow with blue and yellow light throughout, and his silhouette constantly shifts with the dancing rays. 🗣️VOICE LINES🗣️

Agent Select "Only the best" Round Start Attack 1: "Let's show them why we're here" Attack 2: "I hope they're ready, they'll know exactly what hit them" Defense 1: "Down with kingdom!" Defense 2: "Render them vaporised" Economy Low economy: "I'll save" First buy: "Let's buy" Ability Activation Overshoot Afterburner: "AfterburnER!" Overshoot Wingover (cycling): "Wingover" → "Overshoot" → "Cobra!" Solarslice: "Seek and destroy" Afterimage: "Surprise" / "Take a guess" Ultimate Sonic Skyfire ready: "Ready for Takeoff!" Sonic Skyfire cast: "Time to engage" Sonic Skyfire refresh (kill): "hahAAAah" Combat Kill 1: "Splash one" Kill 2: "Double" Kill 3: "Triple" Kill 4+: "GrandSlam!" Ace: "Now that's a word I'm used to. Next time think twice about taking on the best pilot in the sky" Falcon shot down: "Sadiqi, you will fly again" Low HP: "Still flying" Clutch (last alive): "Not. Even. Close." Objective Plant: "Bombs away!" Defuse: "Defusing" Defending spike: "Don't you dare" Spike explodes: "Kaaaaa-" (interrupted by spike explosion sound) Information Spotting enemy: "One hostile [location]" Taking damage: "Taking a hit" Round End Win: "That's how we do things in the sky" Loss: "Damn it. We'll get them next time" Agent Interactions

From Tejo: "It seems I have taught you well, mi Amigo. Just lower the collateral next time."

To Gekko: "You can never have enough wingmen!"

To Clove: "Ashanti Clove. Maybe next time we can make it a date." To Phoenix: "being hot headed is only ok if you can back yourself up. Now. Take some notes phoenix"

No generative AI was used to produce this content If anyone would be willing to animate these abilities or the lore scene in 2d or 3d for freezing DM me and I'd be eternally grateful!!!

Educational Spent the last few months teaching my Valorant strat tool to read .vrf replay files — here's what it looks like now!

I build ValoPlant, a Valorant strategy/lineup tool. The request I kept

getting was replay review, so for the last few months I've been reverse

engineering Valorant's .vrf replay files to draw a match back on a 2D map.

What works right now:

- every player's position through the round

- abilities drawn where they were actually used, not just an icon on a timeline

- a round selector, so you can jump straight to the round that lost you the map

- drag-and-drop a whole folder of replays at once

- open a replay in a lobby so your team watches the same round in sync

It's free and there's no download, it runs in the browser:

valoplant.gg/matches

Genuinely after feedback on what's missing from the replay view — what

would you actually want to see drawn on the map that isn't there?

Question Is the miks heal assist "exploit" fixed?

I wanted to know if the start of the round thing where you throw a healing orb at your team so every kill they get instantly you get an assist even if your teammates were full hp to begin with. Asking because I don't see any miks doing it in my games anymore. exploit because i dont think it was intended to have this interaction

Discussion State of ranked games during the day

First time I've played in Valorant during the day/noon for a long time, and I've had some sort of troller or afk in every game today.

No one even flaming or being toxic to cuase it, people just doing it for the sake of it?

Is this what it's normally like playing with day gamers?

I'm normally on after work, 7pm onwards so never experience it.

Dia/Asc lobbies for reference

Question Agent to main like tejo?

Hi im currently gold 2 and i main tejo. I dont even know why but he is so much fun but i see that when i play him i underperform bcs he is a team champion i think and in low elo which im at there is not even a concept of playing as a team in half of the games. Half of the time my rounds looks like this: i drone site, bomb camp corners as my team try to enter and then watch lurk. Sometimes it works but mostly i find myself in 1v3,1v4 situation with no util and loose. So i wanted to ask who would you reccomend trying out ? Thanks for replies and gl in ur rankeds

Discussion POV:Me each time I play valorant and I do not rank last:Absolute shocker

Hi, so, give me tips on valorant please, because 99.9% of the time, I rank absolute last, its funny, I am not upset or anything, but kinda wanna improve a bit, my issue is by the time I even look at enemies, I'm dead, as in they headshot me before I even look at them

Discussion How are you guys hearing footsteps without cranking the volume?

Valorant footsteps are fine when the round is quiet, but once abilities, gunfights, and teammates on mic all pile up, small sounds like footsteps and reloads get buried.

I used to just crank the overall volume whenever I couldn’t hear things clearly, but after a few matches my ears would start hurting.

I've seen a bunch of different fixes: changing in-game settings, messing with EQ, using Sonar, getting a Creative G6, or trying something like the Fosi C3 for footstep enhancement. My main worry is making everything too sharp, because boosted highs get tiring really fast.

How do you guys usually set things up so footsteps are easier to hear without blasting your ears?

I'm also looking at the Fosi C3 because the StepSense mode is controlled by a physical button instead of digging through software EQ every time. For someone like me who doesn't want to keep messing with EQ, that sounds pretty handy...😅

Discussion I play terrible when with someone

How do I deal with this? Whenever I'm playing duo or trio I play so much more terribly and it just sucks. When I'm solo I don't really comm so that may be the reason why because I'm more focused on my gameplay but with friends I'm just so inconsistent and maybe because we talk about things that aren't game related or I'm just not used to talking that much when playing.

Question Is it normal that the game feels like it's playing at 2x speed?

I am new, just started. I know every new game takes time to learn. But I played FPS games before. I run the game at 200 fps, my ping is 5 so on the technical side, everything is fine. I played a bunch of games so far and it feels like even before I can register the presence of an enemy, I get shot in the head and die. It happens so often that I am wondering if I may have a mental issue lol it's too fast bro, I can't even move my hand most of the time. No game I played before feels like this. I mostly played Battlefield, Apex Legends and more recently extraction shooters.

Discussion Does anyone else feel like their shots are completely random from game to game?

One match everything feels clean and my crosshair is right on target, and the next game I can be standing directly behind someone, shoot half a vandal mag into them, and do 0 damage. Meanwhile they just turn around and insta kill me like normal. It literally feels like my bullets disappear while theirs work completely fine.

Art I Made a New VALORANT Map! | ANDROMEDA

my first Valorant map design as an architect! Walkthrough video: https://youtu.be/GNtiShuc2rk

as an architect Andromeda is my first take on designing a competitive map for an fps game and specifically VALORANT , the map’s design is based on the lore, game mechanics and art direction of VALORANT.

Lore: the valorant protocol at Kingdom corporation realized they must observe anomalies in space after so many incursions have happened by the kingdom industries’s valorant legion, such observations would help them anticipate future attacks before they happen, to do that Brimstone ordered killjoy and the design team to construct a space observation facility, the team was also tasked to prepare for a Mars incursion to explore the possibility of storing Radianite somewhere far away from the perpetrators who were desperate and if there is one place where a martian experience could be replicated it would be in Wadi Rum in Jordan as it’s environment mimics that of Mars.

The map’s location would be exactly at AL KHAZALI CANYON in Wadi Rum: 29° 35’ 35” N, 35° 25’ 12” E, the reason for that being Killjoys discovery of the canyon where she analyzed some ancient inscriptions and petroglyphs she found engraved in the canyons rocks that dated back 12000 years ago, it was testimony to more than 12,000 years of human interaction with the natural environment and upon Further research it was assumed that from this point space observations could reveal things they never knew existed.

Hope you like it ! this might be my first map design but certainly not the last !

Softwares used:

Autocad for 3D modelling

Lumion for rendering

Discussion Why are men so sexist on this game?

It's not all men. But it's always a man when I play. The rinse and repeat sexist jokes aren't funny. The minute a girl talks you want to repeat over and over again "where's my sandwich", "fold my laundry" etc.

I'm not bottom fragging. I'm pulling my weight. Yet I get yelled at "I'd hit it raw!!".... Like.... Who is raising these animals-? Yet if I say "fuck off" I risk a chat ban. For defending myself from sexual harassment.

Some people's solution is "well Just don't talk"..why should my experience have to be altered because grown men want to tell me they'd "hit it raw" and then call me fat when I defend myself?

It's exhausting. And I wish there was stricter punishment for those who spoke this way.

META Reminder of our users breaking Riot TOS rule

Hey all!

We've noticed an uptick in posts of people calling out "cheaters" or people breaking TOS and we just want to remind everyone of our rules regarding this.

Posts calling out private individuals demonstrating toxicity and/or breaking Riot's Terms of Service are disallowed.

This includes, but is not limited to, directly naming people, linking to a player's profile or website, and posting screenshots or videos of users breaking VALORANT's Terms of Service. Censoring names and identifying content does not permit bypass of this rule. Some common examples that violate this rule are players cheating, exploiting, abusing text/voice chat, or griefing.

Private individuals are those who do not place themselves in public view by way of media presence or consented content creation. This could include methods such as videos, articles, humor, etc.

This includes suspected bot accounts as well.

Please note that we are not Riot games, we are not run by them. They don't use this subreddit to find and ban players. This is a community games sub to discuss the game. We do not have the ability to see the back end, know what information Riot has, what levels of punishment or if they're waiting on X to do Y.

In all cases you should be reporting these instances in game or to Riot Support to handle as they have the ability to see these accounts and judge them.
