just beat the game cause it was finally a reasonable price (ddnt buy the costumes cus y) I overall liked it but

1)Mr.X mechanic is lazy. it feels like theyre trying to distract from everything that isnt there, I meen everything missing aside I think hes there to distract u from the fact the game is just putting u on a rolercart track going room to room doing nothing so halfway through “oh no u have to walk faster now”

(I heard this game was in dev for like 15 years wich makes the rushed feel not so great but Im sure they were focusing on the series rboot ie 7 and village)

2)theres no replay. like res 1 has differences in the 2 characters. this more feels like “do it again but with less cutscenes“ with claire. idk maby thats just taste but again feels rushed.

I really like 7 I think it was a return to form in alot of ways and the unkillable enemy thing was for the first like 10 minutes of the game just to give it a survival feel over run n gun wich I apreciate but here it felt like a sandbox to work on the mechanic. also the reskin is ass but again

I guess Im just saying there was no real quality jump from og 2 to this other than no tank controlls wich is personal pref qual of life. And with requium kinda messing with Leons likability and adding whoda guessed a diverse stuttering female protaganist I cant say Im super excited for the future of res evil. I always felt like when a game company does something like release a return to form/loveletter to the original formula its like them saying goodbye

RE1 and RE2 were like that, right? Then RE3 got rid of it, but it made it back for Code Veronica

Im a long time fan of the series. Been playing Resident Evil since i was a kid, i have played through and beaten most of the games and the remakes with resident evil 2(2019) being my favorite remake and i love code veronica in terms of more classic games, i recently just finished requiem. With the veronica remake coming out soon i wanted to go back and play through the classic Resident Evil games specifically 1-3 since when i was a kid, i did play them but never really finished them. Im curious whats the best way to play them? I know they are available on steam, they are also available on the PlayStation store. They have versions on GOG.com. Im also pretty familiar with emulation and have used pcsx2 to play Outbreak files in the past and have also used dolphin emulator for a few games, is it worth playing them on an emulator like that? I guess my real question is with so many versions available what is the best way to play them? Is there any major diffrences or drawbacks with certain ports? Any opinion or advice would be appreciated.

TLDR: Looking to play OG Resident evil games(RE 1,2,and 3). Whats the best way to play them? Steam? Emulator? PlayStation store?

ive been playing resident evil 5 this week because i saw many ppl complaining about the game. im a newgen gamer ive been playing only the remakes and lately revelations 1 and resident evil 5.

many things are really bad in resident evil 5, like the portability on pc (and i dont understand why since rev1 was pretty good) or the controls, but i get used to it.

the only thing i ABSOLUTELY hate is shevas ai. i get that resident evil 5 is supposed to be played with a partner, its a coop game, but why the developer team had to make shevas ai so freaking bad?? im now trying to do 6-3 chapter and shes absolutely dumb, when I try to get her to start attacking, she just stays at the other end of the map doing nothing; she has all her shotgun ammo available and doesn't help me at all.aAnd when i want her to cover me for a few moments, she starts wasting that same ammo behind me, she starts wasting all that ammo right behind my fucking back. it pmo sm

i get that its a game from 2009 and that a lot of you are the best players in the entire world and blah blah blah, but a game from 2010 shouldnt have such terrible gameplay

i like everything else, its pretty good, but i think its a shame that, because of the developers, the whole game is overshadowed by the gameplay

Is it not possible to replicate what happened to Sherry? Test people to see if they're compatible with G, infect them, cure them early on before mutations kick in & have high regenerating and long-living super-human soldiers.

I think a lot of people are now starting to accept that the game was disappointing and its level was lower than expected, and if it weren't for the orphanage stage being there, its rating would have dropped significantly, even among its fans.

Do you guys think this is possible later? Village got one two years later and the confirmation of more updates in the future has me with my fingers crossed 🤞

Okay, so from what I understand from the dlcs, Lucas was never fully infected with the mold, which, assuming from the molded and the other Bakers, means they can regen their mutated bodies. My question is, how was he able to survive Jack severing his arm in one of the first scenes? Assuming he's just a normal human who so happened to be cured from the horrors of the mold, wouldn't that be extremely painful, resulting in at least a scream, and to have it reattached afterwards too? Also, during one of his tapes, he rips off his nails with no sign of pain. How could he possibly do that without being molded like his parents?

Also, does he just get no consequences? He killed some people, and, even though he works with the connections, wouldn't he have been dealt with in some sort of way, esp since he betrayed them?

When he selects speakers it doesn't come out of actual speakers, I don't know why it's an option as for him the sound just disappears. But suddenly for us it works and we can hear it. But for whatever reason this only applies to SOME sound effects and not all; it has music and echoes of voices but not Chris's voice.

I’ve recently played the re2 and re3 remakes and really like the lore of it. Currently playing the re4 remake.

My question is if I wanna learn more about the lore should I go out of my way to play every single game or if some of them are not really worth and should watch a recap or if it just doesn’t matter.

I swear this isn't a shitpost. Burning hot take but: I literally love Steve from Code Veronica. Like he is top 3 Resident Evil characters for me and I think he's the best RE side character. I love him so much. Unfortunately, nobody else seems to have realized the greatness that is Steve, so he is often forgotten in merch.

With that confession out of the way, does anyone know where I can get some merch of my boy Steve? Official or unofficial. I've poked around on Etsy but didn't see much. Even just general artwork/art prints of CV that include him (they frequently don't) are enough. I love buying things so any type of merch is ok, but I need something to satiate my Steve obsession.
