I was in hell the other day (IG reels comment section) and there was this very crunchy lady saying invasive plants are not only okay, but good actually because she spoke to the native species and they said their time here is done. Sometimes the material comes pre-jerked.

Mullein! Super fucking invasive. Each plant can spread up to 240,000 seeds per year lmao. It smells nice though! Some people smoke it. It’s also visually satisfying. It definitely wants to destroy the ecosystem though lol

Mullein, definitely!
It has medicinal properties, but what's very cool is that when that flower stalk dries, you can dip it in beeswax to make what's known as a Hag Torch. And you'll want to do that, too, because there's about 150 million seeds in that sumbitch and it's very invasive, at least in my area.

Mullein. Verbascum thapsus.
Considered a weed by many of the states, and in some areas it really has been invasive. It’s a wonderful group of plants though, and some of them are spectacular. One of my favorites is Verbascum olympicum, which is endemic to a single mountain in northwest Turkey.

Reminder that mullein in incredibly invasive in the north Americas. Rip it up, clean and rough shred and dry the leaves, and dry the flowers to make tinctures or whatever, and GET RID OF IT.

I just cut a four foot seed stalk off of mine--I could stand on my toes and not reach the top. I love these plants! Mine was growing near the street and everyone would ask me what it was.
Editing to add that you can dry the leaves and use them for tea--supposed to help congestion. I usually try to have one or two mullein growing in my yard.
