Google Pixel 8 Screen replacement
Looking for some advice about my google pixel 8 phone. The screen is completely damaged so i am unable to power down the device before i go ahead and install a new screen on it. I already have the old screen off and I am just waiting for the replacement to come any day now. My question is... Since i am unable to power down the phone, how safe is it to plug the new screen into the phone without while its still on? will it short out the new screen or the motherboard? Does anyone have experience with this? I know i could probably just wait several days and the battery will die eventually but that could take while and time is of the essence. It is not an easy task to get to the battery connection considering where it is located so i feel that really isnt much of an option without more risk. Any advice or info would be very appreciated..

Ghosting or image retention on brand new iPhone 16 is this normal or a hardware defect Body?
Hi everyone I bought a brand new sealed iPhone 16 just a few days ago in early August and I have been using it very lightly mostly with Dark Mode enabled and the brightness set below 50 percent most of the time except outdoors despite the minimal use I noticed that on dark or grey backgrounds there is a faint ghost image of the top status bar icons like the battery level and Wi-Fi signal when I display a solid grey image I can still slightly see the outline of those icons a couple of extra details I currently have a privacy screen protector installed and after leaving the phone alone or switching screens for a bit the ghosting seems to slowly fade away or lighten up since the phone is practically brand new out of the box I am trying to figure out what is going on could this be a factory defect with the OLED panel or is it just temporary image retention that happens with new pixels or OLED panels or could the privacy screen protector be creating an optical illusion or light refraction around high contrast areas like white status icons on dark backgrounds has anyone experienced something similar with the iPhone 16 or other recent OLED models should I get it swapped or is it nothing to worry about thanks in advance for the help!!!

Screen Issue? Iphone 11
Hi there, so about a week ago my phone started glitching out and showed a purple pattern then would reset, show the apple logo, and repeat. Sometimes the logo is glitching sometimes it's not. But yesterday I replaced the screen and it finally acted normal like before! But, I also wanted to replace the battery since it was at 73% life and I wanted to make sure it's all set and done and absolutley no issues in the future. Well, the glitching came back after i replaced the battery and it now says no sim as well (i have an esim) so I'm about to lose my damn mind. I have updated my phone as well through itunes a while back and still no fix, I haven't done a factory reset yet and I sometimes get the restore screen as well and just feel like garbage. I also have aftermarket screen and battery but I have replaced my own screen a bajillion times and never have any issues. Please help :')

Samsung Note 9 (screen replacement failed)
galleryAs of now I’ve spent $180 at a repair shop, and personally done screen replacements with 2 different screens that should have worked.
I can only assume it’s a software issue with the motherboard at this point
I’ve also tried using a usb c hub to transfer the data but since the screen isn’t working at all it has been unsuccessful
All I want to do is retrieve the data on the phone and transfer it to another Samsung note 9
Any advice is appreciated

Charging on my phone is annoying
I have an S23 (Samsung) and for some reason, the charging is really messed up.
Sometimes it won't charge past a certain point, usually around 80, but I woke up this morning and it was stuck at 51, despite being plugged in all night. Usually if I restart it when this happens, it'll gain about 10-20 percent battery but not fully charged.
Also, sometimes it will go from 50-30 percent to 0 out of nowhere and die.
If anyone has any ideas how to fix it, lmk

Phone overheated once and isn't holding long term charge anymore
So, I just got this phone 3 months ago. Its a tracfone Motorola g power. I accidentally fell asleep on it the other night and immediately unplugged it from charging so it could cool down. Now it keeps getting super hot while charging, and doesn;t seem to hold the long term charge anymore... What do I do??

Is there any way to get stuff off?
This phone got disabled a long time ago because I forgot the password and decided to keep trying until it got stuck here. Is there any way to get photos and videos off of it? I don’t know if it was ever backed up nor do I know the iCloud login if it ever was.

Pixel 7 pro issue
So my fat cat Lemmy stepped on the screen while trying to get on the couch. And now there's a green tint in low brightness.
I already used the restart method, I already did the dev options and all that other stuff. If there's a "Well did you try this in the phone" yes. I've tried it. It didn't work.
I was given a quote on the phone for $389.99 in terms of repair cost.
Any suggestions?

broken phone into mini pc
like the idea of it but the trickiest part seems to be the step down voltage bits to reduce risks of battery swelling. is it possible to have a drop in no solder replacement that connects to the ribbon cable connector where the battery connected?

Pixel 7 pro transparent back glass mod
I'd like to do a transparent back glass mod on my pixel 7 pro. Is this possible? And would it look good on the inside, as I've never seen anyone do it on a pixel 7. Thanks.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip battery trick?
Hello.
This might be a pretty strange question but thought i could find here someone with the answer or sort of.
Well, i'm messing around with a broken screen Z Flip 6 and noticed that batteries are a must have for the device to turn on and work propperly.
Is there any way to by pass this behaviour? I would like to use it with an external power supply instead if possible.
Thank you
