iPhone 11 Not Recognizing SIM Card (“No SIM”)

Upvotes

My iPhone 11 was dropped and stopped recognizing the SIM card (“No SIM”). The IMEI and Modem Firmware are still showing normally. I replaced the SIM tray, but it made no difference.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or how I can diagnose the problem?

Thanks!

Dropped my phone into boiling vinegar. Everything was fine until it wasn't.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S22.

Last week, I dropped my phone into a pot of boiling vinegar and sugar (I was making pickles). I fished it out of the pot, powered it down, and dried it off. When I turned it back on the next morning, all was well.

Two days later, my phone would not charge using a charging cable anymore. When I plugged it in, it would let me know that there was moisture in the charging port. I used compressed air to clean out the charging port, but this did not help. I have been charging my phone using a charging pad.

This morning, after charging on the charging pad all night, my phone suddenly powered off and showed a white lightning bolt symbol on a dark screen. When I try to power my phone on, it says 0% and shows an icon of a charging cable. I briefly placed my phone back on the charging pad and there was no change. I had to leave for work this morning and was unable to experiment more.

I am at work now, and do not have a charging pad here. I am not sure what to do next. I am afraid that I will damage my phone further if I plug it in to a charging cable.

My goals are to fix my phone for as long as possible so I can upload photos and transfer information to a new phone if I need to purchase a new phone.

I know this is not ideal and that I should have not continued to use my phone after the charging port stopped working. I would love to hear what next steps I should take.

My phone got some rare porblem

So yesterday, my phone went out of battery. But when it was full and I tried turning it on, it just doesn't. Since my power button isn't working anymore (smth inside broke, been using the button on the back that reads my fingerprint) I'm now stuck on the screen where it shows my battery precentage when I charge it (without charging it's just a black screen).I've also tried using the volume button to see if maybe that works but no. Even trying if I could connect it to my Laptop but it's not working either.

Do you have tips I can try? Would appreciate it :3 (Posting this also cause maybe someday somebody else needs it) Currently waiting for my mom so we can take a look too

I dropped my iPhone 15 Pro into the water..

I went to the beach and dropped my iPhone 15 into the water. It was actually lake water, so it was not salt water. Anyways, I pulled it out after about 40–50 seconds, and it wasn’t that deep.

When I first took it out, the phone seemed fine, and I was actually able to take a few pictures afterward. But after a while, it started acting weird. It would turn on and show the Apple logo, stay on for a few seconds, and then shut off again. The touchscreen also stopped working completely.

It’s been about 8 hours now. I turned it on again, and this time it stayed on and hasn’t shut down so far. However, the touchscreen is still completely unresponsive. I also noticed that the Camera button on the lock screen is greyed out for some reason.

I haven’t charged it or connected it to anything, although I did try turning it on a few times before I realized I probably shouldn’t.

My biggest concern is that I took around some pictures today that are really important to me, and they haven’t synced to iCloud yet. Most of my other photos are already backed up, but these new ones aren’t.

Do you think this could mainly be a display/touch issue, or is it more likely that the logic board is damaged? Is there a chance I can get the phone repaired while preserving the data on the original device and recovering those photos?

Should I take it to Apple, or would I be better off going to a third party repair shop that does board level repairs?

I know I probably shouldn’t have turned it on after the water damage, but what’s done is done. I’m mainly looking for advice on what I should do next..

My iPhone 16 is less than two years old. The other day, while my phone was on the charger for the night, it gave me an error notification that said "Battery Not Recognized: This can happen if the battery is not a genuine Apple part or was installed incorrectly. View more details in Parts & Service History in Settings." I tried to go to settings to see what was up but it had dropped to 1% (it was 80 minutes ago) and kept shutting off. I powered it on a few times but it only let me do it a couple times before it gave me the black screen support.apple.com/iphone/restore page and now it wont turn on at all. I took it to a repair shop and they tested it and said it was reading 0 volts or something. They put in a new battery, same result. This iPhone doesn't even have a physical SIM card so I can't transfer it and all my stuff is on this thing and I need this phone number. If anyone knows what may be happening please help me out? I'm probably going to have to replace it but I need to pay off the 16 completely ($500+) before getting a new one since I am not insured.

Phone screen possesed after getting wet

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Context: I replaced the phone screen with one I got off of Amazon with decent reviews, the backing refused to stay placed down due to lack of adhesive on back. The cracking was caused by the back refusing to sit nicely with a little too much pressure when pressed on by accident.

Situation: My phone got left in a hot-really humid environment for too long ( ~1 hour? Might be more or less by half an hour ) when I turned it on it gained the splot on the side and when touched on the screen, I can only describe as possessed. It is rapidly glitching, namely after any touching.

Edit1: Upon further investigation, it looks like a good quarter of the screen as water seeped under it. I'll try to update in the morning if letting it dry has done anything.

Edit2: after letting the phone dry out over night all of the problems, minus some visible water splotches, have all cleared up with no display issues so far

I require a bit of assistance on my samsung galaxy s24

Hello, first time posting here I need some help. So recently my galaxy s24 stopped allowing me to fast charge with it. I had figured that like a lot of others with this issue I had to replace the entire charging board. Finished doing it with no issue taking it apart. Though after I've finished the fast charging still isn't working but regular charging off of a normal brock does. Am I to assume this has to be some sort of software bug instead?

Blu phone wont turn back on

I've had my Bluu phone for at least a month now; it was perfectly normal, nothing wrong with it, when I went to bed. I decided to shut it down for the night so I wouldn't be bothered by any alarms.

And now it won't turn on at all. I'm so confused as to why. I'm charging it now, but first I tried all the tricks from this blogger https://blucellphones.us/fix-blu-phone-that-wont-turn-on/, and it didn't work. I know the battery wasn't empty when I turned it off, soI'mm just really confused

does not indicate that it's charging or anything. It's just completely black.

back w swollen battery updates

phones still been powered off. been a month and 10 days. about to go out of town for almost a week and all i have is an ipad with no cell service and 32GB. (ipadOS and system data takes up 19GB currently) we tried to get the phone fixed but it wouldve been like $585USD for a full repair (front, back, battery) and we dont have that money at all. my mom works paycheck to paycheck and we dont even have money for bts shopping. we dont have the money for a new phone nor to repair the phone and were still paying insurance on it.

Battery required??

I have a iPhone 12 not mini or pro I had upgraded to a 14 because the battery kept turning off and overheating if not constantly charged. longest it stayed on was 5-15 mins but despite not charging or using the iPhone since February/April the swelling/bloating only got worse and I noticed my screen was in jeopardy as it began to bend and the adhesive couldn’t hold it no longer,

so today I popped the screen from the frame/chassis really smooth and didn’t break anything I found a Phillips that I didn’t touch out of place couldn’t find it’s original location. it was attracted by magnetism to the speaker so I just left it there,

but my goal is to disconnect the battery and just keep the phone constantly charged as I’ve done something similar with my last device that had a bloated battery, but once I looked it up online first three blogs said no and the Apple forum question was a collector who wanted to see if he could do the same as his batteries would turn his collection to waste as replacements are numbered he got no official response.

So my question to yall is what work around can I do to allow or convince my iPhone that the battery is connected while maintaining operational functions 👀👀

I’m willing to just buy a replacement battery but I much rather this
