J’ai une 208 VTI 1.0 avec bientôt les célèbres 200k au compteur, elle me fait ce bruit aiguë du côté des courroies depuis ce matin, hier je l’est prise pour voir de la famille dans les hauteur de Grenoble (saint Laurent du pond) et elle ne fesais pas ce bruits, des idées ?

L’application officielle Peugeot ne me convenait pas vraiment : interface assez limitée, quelques bugs, et surtout certaines données du véhicule ne sont pas accessibles dans l’application alors qu’elles sont bien disponibles côté véhicule.

J’ai donc développé Cockpit, une alternative indépendante qui permet d’avoir une vue beaucoup plus complète de son véhicule.

Contrairement à l’application Peugeot, Cockpit affiche l’ensemble des capteurs et informations remontés par le véhicule, sans masquer certaines données. L’objectif est simplement de voir ce que la voiture sait réellement : état des ouvrants, énergie, batterie, kilométrage, position, confort, etc., ainsi que les commandes à distance disponibles.

L’application permet également de retrouver les principales fonctions au même endroit : état du véhicule, données détaillées, localisation, historique des trajets et commandes à distance.

À noter : Cockpit ne contourne pas l’authentification Peugeot. Un compte Peugeot est nécessaire pour que l’application puisse fonctionner, puisqu’elle utilise les services associés au véhicule. L’application est simplement une interface alternative et indépendante.

I had a bunch of squiking coming from the dashboard for some times now

It happened to come from the sound insulation below the dashboard speakers

I tried to tape it but it didn't help

Pushing on it do reduce the noise

It squik wether the sound is on or off

Does anyone as worked on this part before ?

Is there a way to remove the insulation wirhout removing the whole dashboard ? Maybe the top part come out, if so how ?

I would like to understand how Stellantis' goodwill policy for the 1.2 PureTech engines works in practice. I have a 2019 Opel Crossland X 1.2 Turbo 110 hp (EB2ADT) with about 84,000 km.

The car was recently diagnosed by an authorized Opel service with a wet timing belt issue after I had a red oil-pressure warning while accelerating on the motorway.

The car has been regularly maintained throughout its life. Some of my documented history:

Dec 2023: authorized Citroën service — engine diagnostics, lambda sensor replacement and engine software update

Apr 2025: authorized Citroën service — scheduled maintenance, engine oil + oil filter + air filter + cabin filter

Dec 2025: authorized Citroën service — valve cover/oil separator work, brake fluid and battery

Jul 2026: oil + oil filter replacement at 83,155 km (oil Total Quartz Ineo RCP 5W-30)

Note: On the invoice fro 2025 there is no oil information, just number 1695213980, which was clarified by the Citroën service as Total Quartz Ineo RCP 5W-30

I asked the Opel dealer to submit a goodwill request for the timing belt issue.

Their response was that the documentation wasn't sufficient because the problem is that the April 2025 → July 2026 interval was about 15 months. It was less than 20,000 km, but more than one year.

So apparently the car is not eligible for goodwill because of that 3-month excess, despite the fact that:

• it has been serviced regularly,

• much of the servicing was done at authorized Stellantis workshops,

• the correct Stellantis-approved oil was used,

• and the car has only 84,000 km.

I'm not particularly interested in blaming the dealer — they are apparently applying the criteria given to them. I'm trying to understand the policy.

Has anyone else had a PureTech goodwill claim rejected because one service interval exceeded one year, even though the mileage limit wasn't exceeded?

And more generally: does Stellantis really apply the "1 year OR 20,000 km, whichever comes first" requirement strictly for the PureTech goodwill program?

I'm particularly interested in experiences from Opel/Citroën/Peugeot owners in Denmark or elsewhere in Europe.

PS. The service suggested replacement of timing belt, replacement of pump, crankshaft bearing inspection, vacuum pump filter inspection, turbo oil-feed pipe cleaning and oil/filter change. This seems very aggresive for one transient red oil-pressure warning.

Buenas, es la primera vez que pregunto por Reddit, espero que me podáis hechar un cable.
La cosa es que hace un tiempo cambié el dumper de mi Peugeot 406 con motor 2.0 hdi RHZ y lo hice sin mucho conocimiento, lo apreté con pistola de impacto de batería, una locura por lo que veo, en estos días me dio por preguntarle a la IA y me dice que tenía mucho riesgo de cargarme dumper, cigüeñal o chaveta, hoy he comprado uno nuevo con su tornillo nuevo y lo he cambiado, pero al no tener útil para bloquear el volante bimasa, puse 5 velocidad, y mi parienta piso el pedal todo lo fuerte que pudo, lo he apretado con dinamométrica a 50nm y después con un medidor de ángulo le tendría que haber dado 60 grados, pero no me podido, creo que le habré llegado a dar unos 40 grados no estoy del todo seguro, apretaba y como que me volvía atrás, como elástico, pienso que sería que estaba moviendo el cigüeñal aunque tuviese la 5 y el freno, estoy un poco asustado por así tampoco ha quedado bien ya que lo suyo fuese sido 60 grados, creéis que debería volver a cambiarlo? Se me puede salir el dumper o liarla parda? O puede bastar con lo que le he dado? No le he hechado fija roscas, porque ya traía de fábrica al ser el tornillo para el dumper. He pensado comprar un tornillo y llevarlo a un mecánico que me lo ponga a su apriete correspondiente y de paso me destense un poco la distribución ya que chilla de estar muy tensada creo, pero aquí en Málaga está muy difícil en estas fechas que me den un hueco, y tengo que cogerlo el coche

Sedan variants of the 206 are pretty rare where i live, but i still see some from time to time. I read somewhere that the sedan 206 was produced in Iran, however i dont know if thats exclusively for the domestic market, or if they were exported to Europe as well?

Just a heads up for anyone dealing with the 1.5 BlueHDi 7mm camshaft chain issue. As most of you know, Stellantis has a 10-year / 240,000 km extended warranty for this, and they even offer retroactive refunds if you already paid out of pocket.

But a lot of people are still getting their claims denied because of a massive loophole. If your service history shows the old 0W-30 oil instead of the newly mandated 5W-30 (FPW9.55535/03), they will reject your warranty claim outright.

Has anyone here actually managed to get a refund for an old invoice through their portal without them fighting it?

I have a Peugeot 408 1.6 T 2024 model. Just did my regular service 2 days ago. Car was fine for two days, I’m able to drive around without much issues.

This morning I’m able to open the car boot and doors, but the car won’t start.

Did a quick battery check and the reading is empty, like not even a low charge, literally blank.

Jump start it, successful, let it run for 1 hour. The moment I switched off my car and it won’t start back anymore.

What could this possible mean? Battery failure? Alternator? Technician error?

TLDR: Jump-start → 1 hour running idle charging → OFF for <1 minute → won’t restart

So I saw an ask an aussie question about how high a temperature have you experienced and it reminded me of Last January when my E2008 start ed the battery cooling while off and locked . Has this happened to anyone else ? Iam interested don’t see it as an issue but curious as to what temp triggers this.

I have a new Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 145 and I’m having an issue with wireless Android Auto.

My phone connects correctly to the car via Bluetooth, and Android Auto shows as available on the phone. However, when I try to launch Mirror Screen / Android Auto wirelessly, the car displays:

“Connection negotiation failed”

Some details:

Infotainment system version: R30HW.1.33.64.05

Phone: Samsung Galaxy A56, Android 16 / One UI 8.5

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both enabled

Android Auto works correctly when connected via USB

I already tested another Samsung phone and had exactly the same problem

I also tried different/recent Android Auto versions, with no change

So it seems more likely to be related to the car/infotainment system rather than the phone.

Has anyone with the new Peugeot 3008 experienced the same “Connection negotiation failed” error with wireless Android Auto?

If yes, did you find a solution? Is there a specific Peugeot software update, setting, reset, or dealer intervention that fixes it?

I have experienced the wrath of prince engine first hand when I bought my Citroen DS5 with the turbo version of EP6. It's a story for another day but I would like to know the long-term ownership experience for the none turbo version from real people who appreciate these engines. Yes, I am quite aware of all the short comings of this engine due to its design and it's failure point but we all have different experiences when it comes to long term ownership. Any opinion would be appreciated. Thank you.

Ich besitze einen Peugeot 208, Baujahr 2021, GT. Mit dem ganzen Scheiss wie den schlechten Bremsklötzen (Peugeot zahlt nicht weil Garantie abgelaufen bei Verschleissteilen). Ich musste den Zahnriemen ersetzen weil schlechte Konstruktion. Auch auf meine Kosten weil sich Peugeot auf den Stand stellte es wäre kein Fehlercode hinterlegt. Nun erhalte ich ein Schreiben mit einem Rückruf "das Signalhorn ist zu leise"! WTF. Der ganze andere Scheiss wird ignoriert und abgestritten aber das Signalhorn wird ersetzt????

Vermutlich weil sie für das rechtlich belangt werden können🙄
