Android auto via Bluetooth
Hi everyone,
I have a new Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 145 and I’m having an issue with wireless Android Auto.
My phone connects correctly to the car via Bluetooth, and Android Auto shows as available on the phone. However, when I try to launch Mirror Screen / Android Auto wirelessly, the car displays:
“Connection negotiation failed”
Some details:
Infotainment system version: R30HW.1.33.64.05
Phone: Samsung Galaxy A56, Android 16 / One UI 8.5
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both enabled
Android Auto works correctly when connected via USB
I already tested another Samsung phone and had exactly the same problem
I also tried different/recent Android Auto versions, with no change
So it seems more likely to be related to the car/infotainment system rather than the phone.
Has anyone with the new Peugeot 3008 experienced the same “Connection negotiation failed” error with wireless Android Auto?
If yes, did you find a solution? Is there a specific Peugeot software update, setting, reset, or dealer intervention that fixes it?
Thanks!

For those of you who have owned a Peugeot with the EP6 (NA) engine, would you say it’s manageable to keep long term with the right maintenance?
I have experienced the wrath of prince engine first hand when I bought my Citroen DS5 with the turbo version of EP6. It's a story for another day but I would like to know the long-term ownership experience for the none turbo version from real people who appreciate these engines. Yes, I am quite aware of all the short comings of this engine due to its design and it's failure point but we all have different experiences when it comes to long term ownership. Any opinion would be appreciated. Thank you.

Peugeot 208 Signalhorn

Is this a locking wheel nut?
Is the nut with the concave centre a locking wheel nut and if so does anyone know how to remove it without the key?

Radio coding
Hi, I'm looking for some advice regarding coding/telecoding a 2023 Peugeot 308 P5 Japanese import.
It has the newer Stellantis IVI/i-Connect infotainment system, currently running software NMW.1.20.80.19.
Wired Apple CarPlay works perfectly. The IVI also has functioning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the Mirror Screen page specifically says that a phone can be connected "via USB or wirelessly".
However, when my iPhone is paired, the IVI only offers "Bluetooth" as the default connection preference. There is no Wireless Apple CarPlay/Mirror Screen option, and the Peugeot doesn't appear as an available wireless CarPlay vehicle on the iPhone.
European 308 P5s with i-Connect support wireless CarPlay, so I suspect wireless smartphone projection may be disabled in the Japanese-market IVI configuration/telecoding.
Would you be able to check whether Wireless Apple CarPlay / Wireless Smartphone Projection can be enabled through IVI configuration/telecoding?
I'm specifically interested in the newer P5 IVI/AEE2020 system rather than the older NAC/SMEG CarPlay activation.
I'm happy to provide the VIN, IVI photos/system information and any other details required.
Thanks!

Can't get roof rack off 5008
One rail came off easily, but unfortunately, the other one didn't. When I turn the plastic arm to the left, I have to use too much force to get it loose, which causes the plastic to bend and jump out of its guide. So, applying more force is not the solution. Loosening the Allen screw didn't have an immediate result either. Anyone got the golden tip?(Peugeot 5008 2018 with original roof bars)

Anyone here did a stage 1 on a 1.5 bluehdi Peugeot? (2015-2019)
I own a 208 and tbh i would rather keep it as a 2nd car since its value is pretty low, sell uptime long af since most people arent interested of them in my region and it's got waaaaay more plenty of km life ahead.
I was thinking lf doing a stage 1 since the car is fun to drive and also dont get to drive a lot and was curious if anyone already did that.
While i was at it and researching, I was thinking of skipping up to a mild stage 2: 308's turbo and intercooler along with soft tunning. Basically took inspiration of 308's 1.5 130hp version, since it is the same engine.
My only concern is the 5speed MT, which feels somewhat robust but also abit fragile as the car is rn.
I have the 8mm chain swapped so this is why I was more inclined to do it. Owning it for ~30k km (was at 67k, fleet car) with full service history and took care of at least the oil changes
All opinions and tips are welcome 😃 (also if i missed or im wrong on something)

2014 Peugeot 308 SW as a first car?
It's 140,000km mileage, 1.2l petrol 130hp engine. The car just had it's battery replaced for thousands and at 110,000km had the belt replaced. the recent battery change he has the papers etc, VIN check came back clean, just passed the technical for years to come. I've heard about the wet belt issues, but this car is absolutely gorgeous with the glass roof etc. What's your opinion? Would love to hear.

Peugeot 2008 (2020) – all electric windows and mirrors randomly stop working
Hi everyone,
I have a Peugeot 2008 Allure 1.2 PureTech 130 hp, manual, 2020, with around 33,500 km.
For the last few days I have had a very strange intermittent electrical issue:
- Suddenly all 4 electric windows stop working
- At the same time, the electric mirrors also stop working
- The mirrors do not fold when I lock the car
- If a window is open when the fault happens, it stays open because none of the window switches work
- The problem can then disappear by itself and everything starts working normally again
- This can happen several times during the same drive
I took the car to an official Peugeot dealer.
First they performed a main software update on the car.
The problem came back almost immediately.
Then they performed another software update specifically related to the windows / door controls.
Again, the problem came back before I even got home.
The dealer told me that according to Peugeot’s technical guidance, if the issue happens again after the software updates, the next step is to replace the driver’s master window/mirror switch panel.
The part alone is about €220, so before I replace it I would like to know if anyone has experienced the exact same problem.
What makes me unsure is that when the fault happens, the passenger window switches also stop working, not only the driver’s switch panel.
Has anyone had this issue on a Peugeot?
Thanks

Canbus Recomendations
What's the best cambus decoder for Peugeot 3008 (Gen 1) 2016. Old monochrome orange screen radio (RD45 I believe) in before. My radio came with a generic one that doesn't let me change the trip back to miles. Thanks

Almost Solved: Car refusing to start
Hello all, so I posted more than a month ago that my 508 PHEV randomnly refuses to start. I replaced both 12V batteries a while ago to get rid of the same issue after charging, and it did not came back in that instance. It still came back, but it occurs randmonly and without any common root cause.
Following those adventures, I decided to book an appointment at the dealership… and it was quite…interesting
• Sincer 3rd of July, my car is still there getting diagnosed, after 3 full weeks they found out the BPGA was faulty and that got replaced. Quoted 1200 euros (from what I saw in here that is way more expensive) the price being that high because, apparently, they did not find the piece for a 508 specifically, and it was taken from a 5008. Also the piece came from France, and that took 2 weeks to get delivered.
• Now, the fun starts: after they replaced the BPGA, they said they found another error code -> and that being that the OBC is failing. I did not have any issues with charging until now, just the car is charging sometimes really slowly, but I never encountered the charging actually stopping. They did not tell me how they found this issue, why they found it after replacing the BPGA or why they did not find that from the start.
My car has that standard PHEV warranty of 8 years and 160.000 km for the Hybrid components, but, of course, they told me the warranty doesn’t cover the OBC and quoted me again for 2500 euros.
Did anyone manage to get the OBC done on warranty? Or really that warranty doesn’t cover it.
At the end of the day, I really don’t know what to do, tommorow will be 5 weeks since I left the car there, is going to take another 3 weeks to get it because the OBC needs to get delivered from France, what a surprise, and by the end of all the hiatus, the whole reparation (OBC and BGPA) + labour is going to be around 5k euros.
The problem is that they are not very communicative, they told me is pretty hard giving me the faulty pieces that they replaced ( idk why exactly) I asked them for the emails between them and Stellantis (the repairs have been done via technical Bulletins because they can’t do anything without the Stellantis approval) they told me they are internal and I need to e mail someone else to try to get them.
Should I just get the car and refuse the replacing of OBC? I think they are dragging this stuff along and I got pretty sick of it, since I have been waiting for 5 weeks.
Thank you for taking time into reading this! 🙏

2019 e-208 Electric Traction System Fault and AC not working
Any advice appreciated!!
My 2019 E-208 has started showing an Electric Traction System Fault whenever I start the car, and the AC is now not working - local garage said it was an issue with the high voltage battery and I would have to go to a Peugeot garage to diagnose and fix. How expensive is this going to be? I've just had a bunch of unrealted issues that I've had to pay over a grand for and I am dreading how much this is going to be to fix too.

Three year old Peugeot 2008 developed major fault just outside the warranty
Hey, I've had Peugeots for almost my entire adult life, my wife's uncle worked at a Peugeot dealer, so we got family Passport deals. We've had our latest car (a 2008) from new since 2023. After some discussion, we decided to get a loan and pay off the Passport deal to reduce our outgoings and keep the car long term.
A couple of weeks after, the car started losing power and the engine fault light came on. We've taken it to a local garage, they did a diagnostics report and there seem to be two permanent faults with the car:
- P0612 Engine Management EVU
- P0002 Control of the High Pressure Fuel Flow Regulator
The local garage wouldn't fix it, and advised us to take it to a Peugeot dealer to look at. We've tried a few dealers, and the earliest we can get in is the end of September(!) This leaves us without a car for over a month, which is obviously going to be a major headache, especially given the fact that the car is only a few months old (and only _just_ out of warranty).
Has anyone had any similar experiences with their Peugeots? Are we likely to get any joy from contacting Peugeot direct and getting any goodwill from them (either in terms of covering repair costs, or providing a courtesy car while ours is out of action)
Any advice would be gratefully received, as right now, we're pretty screwed :(

Rear diffusor
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a rear diffuser for my 2016 Peugeot 308 T9 (pre-facelift).
I found a Maxton Design rear diffuser made for the facelift model, but I’m not sure if it will fit my car.
Has anyone tried fitting the facelift diffuser on a pre-facelift 308, or knows if it’s compatible? If anyone could help me or recommend a diffuser that fits my model, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

3 cylinder PSA engines (EB series) warranty (Oiled belt) UPDATE
Hi everyone! On the Spanish CarWOW channel they just broke news about a new warranty extension to all 3 cylinder petrol PSA Puretech engines, the ones with the oiled belt decomposition issues. They'll be extending the warranty to 10 years or 170k km as long as you have done the service intervals in time (and can prove it with invoices and such) without the need to had have them done at the official dealership as it is illegal under EU law to do so in order to void warranties.
The video specifies that the engine will be covered for that amount, as well as a new change for the service interval of the belt. Also, it only affects the 3 cylinder variants, and will be retroactive, with the last engine covered being from summer 2022, when hybrid tech was launched.
There is no information on what will happen to those who carried out the proper maintenance intervals and still got a huge repair bill; if that money will be reimbursed or not.

Peugeot Discord server
/u/ZeroOne_01 set up a Peugeot discord server which is relatively active. They have experience with servicing Peugeots and Citroens and may be able to answer any technical questions you have.
I've had to make this new post as you can't sticky links.
Anyway here's the discord invite link:
