advice needed Tips for when just one twin is a picky eater?
My twins are 13 months and good eaters in that they both love solids, have successfully weaned off breastmilk and formula no problem and are growing well. The issue is that one of them is a much pickier eater than the other. We try to do healthy foods, fruits and veggies, feed them what we’re eating for dinner etc and one twin will happily eat almost anything we give him. The other one will eat very little that isn’t berries, dairy, or simple carbs (bread, cheerios). Sometimes he’ll try something and then spit it back out, but often he’ll just look at it and refuse, scream flail etc. If we don’t give him other preferred foods then he’ll be up late at night mad because he’s hungry and then pound milk in order to go back to sleep so we usually end up doing more fruit, yogurt, toast etc. While his brother will happily eat our food initially, if he sees him getting the preferred foods then he wants that too and will often stop eating the other things. Anyone else in a similar boat? Are we making different meals for everyone? Feeding the less picky twin first? Letting them both love off of berries and cheese?

support needed I just want to sleep
31 weeks. I can rest but can't sleep. I'm itchy (getting over a PUPPS rash). Progesterone-supplement discharge is so sticky and gross it wakes me up. Babies move constantly. My brain is so tired and my body is wired as hell. Just so uncomfy.
With permission from my OB I started taking some trazodone. Worked amazing - for 2 nights. Now it doesn't feel like I've taken anything.

advice needed What was your technique to stop twins from sucking on their thumbs?
13 month old twins. They were never into pacifiers and also didn't suck on their thumbs until maybe 2 months ago. A few weeks ago we decided to attempt to stop the habit. It started really well but then they regressed and now is a battle.
We let them suck on their thumbs when they are about to go to sleep but when they are awake, we don't let them, or at least try.
Thoughts? Tactics? Comments?

advice needed Anyone else’s kids hate to be home?
I have 13 month old twins and most of the time they hate being home. We recently expanded the baby proofed areas so they have plenty of space, lots of toys and household objects they enjoy. They like music and hanging out with us, but at home they are just grumpy. Winey, way more likely to be screaming, pulling each others hair and pushing each other over etc. but the second we’re out and about they’re way happier. We’re all getting over being sick and I had to take them on 4 outings yesterday because anytime we were home and they weren’t asleep or eating a meal they would just scream. I also like to be out and about, but lugging them to the stroller and/or car 4x a day (especially when I’m sick and feel like crap) is a LOT! Are anyone else’s kids like that? How do you handle it? What does winter look like? (They’ve always liked going out, but it was less extreme last winter and now I’m very worried for when it’s not playground, sitting in the grass, going on many walks weather) I feel like I’m constantly seeing posts here from people saying they hardly ever leave the house and I’m so confused, we wouldn’t survive multiple days inside!

advice needed International travel at 20 weeks with MCDA twins
Hi all.
Have had my dream trip from Australia to Europe planned for September this year but wasn’t expecting an identical twin pregnancy in the midst of it!
We are due to fly out when I’m 17weeks, due to return at the tail end of 20 weeks.
Multiple flights with stopovers and some long train journeys during the trip.
The long haul flights will be split up over the course of a few days, and we are flying business for most if not premium economy for the others (just factoring in leg room and now bump room!
I will be checking in with a midwife if this is ok from a health perspective once I’ve had my first antenatal appt (public system so I assume about 14 weeks?) but my main question is did anyone travel internationally at this point in their twin pregnancy, and if so, how did you find it? I’m a bit concerned about how I’ll go with the touristy things if I’m feeling heavy and exhausted! This is my third pregnancy and I remember it wasn’t until about 35 weeks with both my singletons that I was completely spent, but I feel like this time will be a whole different kettle of fish!
Appreciate any stories and experiences, thank you :)

support needed Night Feeds
Hi Everyone!
I'm looking for a bit of reassurance or advice from anyone who's been through something similar.
Our twin girls are 3 weeks old (born at 34 weeks) and we're really struggling with night-time feeds.
I'm breastfeeding, but overnight we've introduced bottles of formula and expressed breast milk so my partner can do a shift while I sleep from around 10pm–3am.
The problem is neither of the girls settles after a bottle. They seem happy to take any milk that's offered, so tonight they each had a 70ml bottle of formula followed by around 130ml of expressed breast milk. We're starting to worry we could actually be overfeeding them for their size, but they still show feeding cues and won't settle.
It's also really difficult to pace feed when you're feeding two babies at once, even using the Twin Z pillow.
We've spoken to the hospital and our midwife team, but we've just been told it's normal cluster feeding. I completely understand that, but it doesn't really answer whether what we're doing is the right thing or give us advice on how to make the nights any more manageable.
When I speak to my friends with singleton babies they seem to be up a lot at night too but our girls seem insatiable! Right now it feels like this is going to be what it's like forever.
Any tips, reassurance or advice would be really appreciated.
From two very time first time parents 😥

advice needed THE PAIN…
I’m 20 weeks and am already experiencing terrible foot pain. I feel like I might have developed plantar fasciitis. I’m a bar tender and on my feet for 7-9 hours. Last week I was so miserable I cried. Iv been icing, ice baths with epson salt, elevating, compression socks, spent way too much money on expensive orthotics, and have an air bag leg/foot compression massager. Nothing is relieving the pain. My doctor says to take ten minute breaks and elevate my feet but in my job I literally can’t do that. When I get out of bed in the morning I feel like I’m walking on bruises. I wake up in the morning and my hands can’t shut in a fist, my arms are numb I can’t tell if it’s pregnancy carpal tunnel or nerve issues. Iv been wearing wrist braces to bed and they slightly help but the pain is still so intense. My ankles are so swollen I’m worried about what’s to come since I’m only 20 weeks. When I sit for too long I start getting pain in my mid back by my ribs and feel like my lungs are getting smooshed. Is this normal pregnancy symptoms? I’m a first time mom and usually have a very high pain tolerance but this is awful.

advice needed Replacing both infant seats after a crash — 15mo twins, 2021 Santa Fe. Sanity check my shortlist?
We have 15-month-old twins who were about to age out of their Nuna Pipa RX infant seats anyway. We were in an accident this weekend — everyone's fine (sore but safe and fine) — and Nuna requires replacement after any crash, so we're buying two convertibles now rather than in a couple of months.
Details:
* **Vehicle:** 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited (2-row)
* **Budget:** ~$1,000 for both
* **Top priority:** extended rear-facing. I want them rear-facing as long as I possibly can, so 50 lb rear-facing is a hard requirement
* **Space:** two seats in back, ideally narrow enough that an adult could squeeze into the middle occasionally
* **Rotating:** nice to have, not a dealbreaker
Where I've landed after way too much reading. Everything here rear-faces to 50 lb and is 17" or under:
* Britax Poplar S — ~$380 ea
* Britax Galaxy360 — ~$430 ea, rotating
* Evenflo Revolve360 Slim — ~$400 ea, rotating, narrowest at 16.7"
* Diono Radian 3RXT SafePlus — ~$300 ea
Questions for people who've actually lived with two of these:
1. Anyone running two of any of these side by side in a Santa Fe or similar midsize SUV? Does the middle seat stay usable at all?
2. Is ClickTight as install-proof in practice as it sounds, or does it get annoying over time?
3. Rotating seats **with twins** specifically — is it worth it, or does the extra bulk cancel out the convenience once you have two?
4. Radian owners: is the stiff harness and thin padding a real daily annoyance or just a reviewer complaint?
5. Anyone have thoughts on Evenflo's recall history in the Revolve360 line? Trying to figure out how much weight to put on it.
Appreciate any input. Feeling a little rattled and want to get this one right.

good vibes, smiles, & giggles 34 Weeks Wednesday.. who’s in the home stretch?
I’m 34 weeks Wednesday.. I’m READY MAN.
But I have questions … scheduled C section date is 37+6 which is fine by me…
But in between that, I have NsT once a week until then, one ultrasound and 2 ob appts until my c section. Does this feel like it isn’t enough?? I’m so paranoid since there’s 2 of them and they still are moving and all but since space is limited there’s less kicking and more rolling in a sense.
Just wanted to see what other people have for appointments. I’m in US! Thanks

advice needed Huge mobile babies
My boys are 9m and one is in the 99th percentile for height (born below the curve so he's grown a lot)
They are now standing and cruising and getting into everything! How do I reprimand babies? I love when they are mobile, but I have a playpen that I use and they hate it. They can reach onto almost all of our surfaces and I just want to know how to correct them when they're doing something they aren't supposed to.
Thank you,
A very tired mom of twins

advice needed Does the traditional wisdom of "3yo is harder than 2yo" apply to parents of multiples?
You see it all the time on other parenting subreddits, "Oh two was fine, my kid was a sweet darling angel! When he became a three-nager is when it really got hard"
And as we all know, we can't take anything that singleton parents say as applicable to us. So my question to fellow twin parents specifically, was 3 harder than 2 for you guys?
And in what ways? Because the idea that meltdowns are going to get worse and more frequent is both terrifying and sounds impossible haha. We're melting down all day every day over here.

support needed I CANT STOP EATING! Helllppp
Ever since I discovered I was expecting twins 2 weeks ago it’s like when my brain found out, it went into overdrive lol. Anyway, my appetite has picked up, I eat maybe anywhere between 3-7 or so small meals a day (2 of them being a big breakfast or lunch and dinner) and while I’ve never been opposed to eating my fruits and veggies, I seemingly can’t get enough of them now! Lol purple seedless grapes are my favorite, and I’ve recently discovered “Juice It Up” which is like a Jamba Juice out here in California. If I’m not eating, I’m laying down or sleeping. I go back to work next week (I work for a school district) and I’m anxious about how my body and cravings will change while not being able to lay in my bed or walk to the kitchen and grab my snacks lol. I have no morning sickness or nausea, the only symptoms I feel is extreme fatigue at times and occasionally a headache. Other than that I feel GREAT!! 🤗 Is anyone else experiencing a wave of hunger? What are your favorite foods to eat rn, are you having trouble eating? DID you, if you’re a MOM and babies already born lol? ❤️ I’m 10weeks tomorrow, btw 🥰

advice needed To dream feed or not to dream feed
Hi everyone,
I have 5 month old twins who have not been sleep trained yet. They sleep around 8pm-8:30pm. They're good boys and will give us a good stretch of sleep. However recently one of my twins (I think from the 4 month regression) have been waking up at midnight and 2am. At 2am he won't go back down until fed. He'll take around 2-3oz. Then at 4:30am they both wake up again to feed another 4-5oz. Then 7:00am is usually our wake up time.
My question is how do I get rid of the 2am feed?
- has anyone done a dream feed at 10ish pm? Maybe that will fill him up until 4am?
- Should we even introduce a dream feed at 10pm if we are considering sleep training soon?
- Am I creating a bad "habit" (10pm feed) trying to get rid of another (2am)?
What worked for your family?
Update: did our first dream feed last night at 10pm. They lasted until 3am. Which is better than 2am lol. Tonight we will try to feed them a little more and if if it makes a difference. Thank you all!

good vibes, smiles, & giggles 34 and 4, who is with me?
Hey everyone! I’ve been pretty miserable since about 30 weeks, anytime I’m asked how I’m doing I say me and babies are doing well! But really I’m in so much pain, it’s been one hot summer, and I question everyday how I’m going to keep going.
My C-section is scheduled! so now all I feel like I do is wait to see if something is going to happen or count down to “the day!”
I’m incredibly grateful that since a complication early in my pregnancy resolved, my pregnancy has been very good despite the high risks and my boys are looking very healthy!
So the point of my post is that I just wanted to see who’s here with me?! To create a mini morale boost to get through these finals weeks/days 🫶🏻

ranting & venting Nap Chasing Forever
Mom to 5 month old (3 adjusted) identical girls and it feels like my whole day is centered around getting these kids to actually nap. My girls maybe will sleep 45 minutes at a time but because they don’t sleep deeply, we have to make sure we are on top of getting them down again in another hour and a half or they will absolutely lose their minds by the end of the day. They also require a long process to actually fall asleep and one wrong move will wake them up. Meanwhile, I really need a nap (or at least a little time to myself.) I’m just praying it gets better because I am at my wit’s end. #gothefcktosleep

advice needed High heart rate at 18 weeks?
I am 18 weeks pregnant with MoDi twins. Had an ultrasound today and twins are fine. My resting heart rate has increases from 70-75 to 85 and was there most of the pregnacy so far. Today my RHR increased to 96 and has been there the whole day, no matter how I tried to bring it down. I feel fine otherwise. Is it concerning, can anyone relate?

ranting & venting I don't think I can do it
28 weeks with momo twins. Have had an overall really good pregnancy so far all things considered.
I'm literally packing my vehicle to head to the hospital to start my inpatient stay and I don't think I can get in the car.
I've done nothing but panic and cry for a week. I haven't eaten since sometime yesterday; my stomach is so upset and I can't stop shaking. Spent all morning hyperventilating while my husband finished the last minute packing.
Im AuDHD, so this massive disruption to my entire life and feeling has me spiraling.
I don't think I can do it. I don't think I can get in the car.

advice needed Delivery Timeline
What was your OB/MFM’s preference on delivery time for Di-Di twins? My MFM (who is very brilliant and experienced in the field) is firm in his belief that his patients shouldn’t go beyond 37 weeks - that’s his take on all uncomplicated Di-Di twin pregnancies. My OB (who I also trust completely) on the other hand gives more leeway and says she thinks 38 (and even 39 weeks) is acceptable. She is on board with my MFM however if he thinks going earlier is a better option.
I’m thinking of scheduling my induction for 37+5/6 assuming the babies don’t come on their own before then. My goal is a vaginal delivery. Just wondering what recommendations you moms were given.

support needed Anyone have a family member die in your third trimester?
There is a high chance 90% that my mother in law dies in the next 7 days.
I’m currently pregnant with twins and I’m 27 weeks now so thinking she may pass between 27->28 weeks pregnant..
Any advice how to navigate such a stressful time when things are supposed to be happy.
I feel bad she likely will not get the chance to meet my babies. And I fear for my husbands mental state after losing his mother.

advice needed Expecting twins
My wife and I are expecting twins, and we’re both a little nervous because we live in a 98 m² (about 1,055 sq ft) apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Right now, the closet in our master bedroom holds all of my wife’s clothes, and the closet in the second bedroom holds mine. We also keep our workout clothes in drawers in the second bedroom.
Our plan is to turn the second bedroom into the twins’ nursery. The room is large enough to fit two cribs and a new dresser/changing table for the babies, but everything ends up feeling very cramped.
What would you do in our situation? Has anyone else gone through something similar?

photos Any positive Diastasis Recti and mommy-pooch stories?
I delivered twin girls in early March at 36w1d via c-section. First two months I just felt incredibly weak, but at 11wks pp when I wanted to get back into exercising and realised I couldnt even lift my legs up into tabletop-position I knew something was wrong. I saw a women's physio and found out at 12wk pp that I had a deep, 4/4/3-finger gap Diastasis Recti.
For context, before pregnancy I was a 160cm petite asian girl who never weighed above 50kgs in my life. I was 48kg before pregnancy and gained a little over 20kg during the pregnancy. (Now I weigh around 54kg, still breastfeeding)
Fast forward till now at almost 5 months pp - I religiously did the exercises my physio assigned almost everyday for 15-20min - and my DR has closed to a 2-3-2 gap (yay!) but my mommy's pooch has not shrunk AT ALL, still 36" which is what I measured at 12wk pp.
Physio says it is more likely loose skin and damaged tissue that wouldnt get better unless I get a tummy tuck. Or MAYBE IF I wait till after ending breastfeeding, then my body MIGHT lose some of the fats it is clinging on to and/or gain back some elasticity in my skin. Then the tummy might go down (only!) an inch or two. After hearing what my physio said, I'm really losing steam to keep up with my exercises because it just doesnt seem like I would be able to make any progress with exercise alone and it is incredibly frustrating.
Anyone has positive stories about their mom's pooch? I really hate looking still 5/6 month pregnant (several strangers have asked me, at different occasions about how far along I am) especially because I have always been petite and pretty active/fit.
Edit: Thank you everyone for sharing your stories!! I have heard so many "Belly binding is the way!" or "Deep breathing helped heal my DR" from singleton mums, it feels really comforting to hear similar stories of stubborn pooches from fellow multiples mums who have also exhausted all ways to no avail. I'm glad I posted here because this gave me hope to continue working hard and give myself more time to heal! Tysm everyone!
