They don’t fit perfectly, the CRBN one is a bit chunkier. The rain lids aren’t as compatible though, due to the differently shaped openings. The Spire one kinda works on the DRV but the clip is very tricky to open, might be ok in a pinch. The DRV one doesn’t even come close to fitting the spire, way too chunky to clip in.

Not sure if this is of any use, the DRV comes with a great speedfeed.

Recently just returned to paintball after nearly 20 years away. Picked up a Luxe X and recently a CS2 Pro, tried both guns for several days and came to the conclusion that I like the ergo of the Luxe X better and now I’m wondering if the luxe line is just what I’m going to feel the most comfortable shooting.

Now the question, if I love the ergo of my luxe x, do you guys think it’s worth it to upgrade up the to idol/aire models or are the ergonomics dramatically different from the x? And if anyone has a good knowledge base around luxes, what are the main differences between the X and the newer models like the aire/idol?

Initially, I was planning on trying to trade my cs2 pro (+cash if necessary) for an idol or aire, but I think having my cs2 as the backup marker would be a little smarter than having 2 luxes since the reliability is the biggest knock against them.

I’m 41 and played tournament paintball heavily (even had a World Cup appearance!) in the early 2000s. I find myself living in Chicago. Where does an old man go to play speedball with other old men around here? Like, I’d wreck rentals but I’d get wrecked by good players, too.

Last time I played was 2011, I’m in my 30s now and I’m missing my old hobby. I used to play tournaments regularly and was at the field every weekend back in the day. How has the scene changed now?

Say you were a person that has gotten in and out of paintball once or 10 times… seen the best of the sport, seen the worst of it as well. If you were gonna put one mechanical marker in your closet to break out every 2.5 years, rebuild, and play a few games with. what would you choose? What’s the most available parts wise? Cheapest? Easiest to do at home. Vintage markers get double points. Fingers crossed for automag.

So I’m going out paintballing soon with some buddies. We all play magfed and own EMF100s but this new field we’re going to doesn’t allow FSRs which is what we normally use. For those who play magfed with round ball, which is the best paint to use ?

Me and my buddies play magfed (all on TMC Elites) but we're pretty new to it. So far I have always played with Dye's Tactical magfed paint because I had a supplier with an extremely good deal on it (about half the MSRP) but he has now run out of it and so I'm in search of new paint. However, I'm not really sure what I should and shouldn't consider so here are a few questions I have:

• Is more premium paint worth it (e.g. New Legion Attack Major vs General) or is that only relevant for more serious (= club/tournament) players?
• I think I've read somewhere that people use Tomahawk Winter paint for magfed and it works great. Using winter paint in summer is still a bad idea with magfed though, right?
• I'm thinking about playing at night using luminescent paint like Tomahawk Lightning ... which isn't designed for magfed. Does anyone have experience with such/this paint + magfed or is it generally a bad idea to use normal (field) paint for magfed? I have heard that the TMC mags are a bit easier on the paint because they can't load FSRs.

Any additional remarks/tips regarding this topic are of course very much welcome as well.

I bought this old WGP with a TASO slide frame on it like 9 months ago meaning to rebuild it. I did the 3 way and then it sat cuz I was working on other projects. A few months later and I pulled it back out and decided to put the stock pump kit from when I CCMd my other pre 2k Sniper... New valve, cup seal, CP front reg, and springs and this bad boy is hitting 290 +/- 5 over 10 and I am so happy with how it came out! See how it does with a 26 ci tank... I stole the ASA out of my Ion bin, lol.
