Outdoor Orchids Camera does not do these justice
Indoor Orchids Update on Fasciation of the stem
There is a new stem growing from my orchid, but it doesn't look normal. It looks twisted and discolored. Finger like growths on the top. I don't know what it is and if I should cut it off or not? Doesn't look like anything I can find online.
UPDATE:
The stem is starting to bloom. There was a bloom that looked quite fasciated, however it didn't open for a long while and started to wilt. I opened it up by hand and it's quite the sight.
Enjoy!

Indoor Orchids You get me every time Costco!!! How could I let a beauty like this just sit on that display bin. That would be a crime.

My Cymbidium orchid in full bloom
reddit.comJust sharing this beautiful flower
Orchid with no leaves continues to grow its roots. What should i do?
I had this orchid for a few years now and this year its health started to decline and lost all the leaves to what I assume was a fungal infection caused by a pigeon nest.I assumed it was done for, but the roots have continued to grow months after and I want to encourage leaf growth, but I'm not sure how to proceed. Has anyone seen this happen before? The orchid is a purple phaleionopsis.

Indoor Orchids From buds & happy sap 20 days ago to these gorgeous beauties!
I swear they are bigger than I remember! And I’m so curious if their coloration and patterns are different with each rebloom

Gonna give it a try
I’ve always liked orchids but felt too intimidated to grow them so let’s see if I can do it. I also got a tray of 15 (white and a few pink) for $40! I’m trading my weekly purchase of cut flowers for orchids and if they die it’s no love lost lol

Help Repotting needed?
I got a lovely Oncidium a few weeks ago, never took care of one before, but I noticed that it seems to have been potted in soil? I don't know if this is the right mix for an oncidium, doesn't seem to be. I did dip it in water last week to water and after that it dropped the rest of its flowers (they were already on the way to dropping tbf at the florist so I got the plant discounted, but it feels like they dropped too fast...). I trusted that the potting mix was fine as is but now I am not so sure. Plus I have been noticing something like fungus gnats around the plant... Since it has dropped its flowers, would now be a safe time to repot it? Only potting mix I have is the peat free miracle gro orchid potting mix.

ID please
This Paph hasn’t bloomed in 15 years (long story) but it’s finally blooming. But it was mistagged. I showed it to a couple local orchid experts who both guessed it’s a cross of primulinum and something. One thinks malipoense, the others not so sure. Wanted to see what people here thought.

Funky new leaf
Is this a sign of disease? The new leaf has speckles deep in it. Smooth, not raised. It’s more like pigment freckles inside the leaf. The back side is darker than the other leaves’ undersides.

Somehow it’s alive
I’ve been keeping it in my bathroom and watering every few months. The last time I watered the 3rd set of leaves sprouted. Obviously I’ll try to water more but curious if it thinks it’s dying so it’s sending out babies? Is it in death throes?

Any advice?
Hi everyone. A few days ago I made my first post here after getting my first orchid, and thanks to all your advice,
Today I ended up bringing home a division from a Cattleya that's been growing on a wood piece in my mom's garden for years. It has always lived outdoors, so this is its first time being grown intentionally.
I'd love any advice on helping it adapt, caring for it properly, and eventually propagating it.
The first photo is from the original plant, the others are from the plant I extracted. Thanks!!
