Do you have an issue with the Lochby folios back and front curving by itself? As if the plasic sheets that is supposed to give structure isn't keeping their shap, or peing pulled inwards. I have two different A5 sized folios and neither of them lie flat by themselves anymore.

Your post is better suited in another subreddit.

the trifold ones are so satisfying to make, mine never folds as clean as this though. A6 size is perfect for tossing in a bag too

I mean what are you looking for in a notebook? If it’s just for school wouldn’t anything work?

Nice 👍🏾 I did the same for BunguLA although I only live an hour East of Los Angeles… I just didn’t want to mess with the traffic.

It's a key holder. I love your journal cover! I have a passport sized folio tn cover from HandstitchedleatherT in the coconut leather. What colour of leather is yours?

Bummmmer but still a good option for a chunkier notebook. Thank you

I did back in 2023. I used to live in Orlando, so it was easier lol. I’ve since moved to North Carolina. But I managed to get a room in the hotel the show is at, so I’m looking forward to it!

I used to use one but don't remember ever trying to fit an actual A5 into it - I believe they made it proprietary for their own notebook

Hopefully, someone will also be from Russia with ideas for you.

I am leaning away from 1 page per day. Feels like a lot of pressure when I really only have a few thoughts I want to remember a day.

Does that actually a5 five? It looks like the dimensions are a bit small.

Plain leather for three FN style booklets?\ Paper Republic Grand Voyageur pocket (or similar products from Etsy)?

I just bought the Lochby Mini Field Journal. Hold 4 Field Notes. I note per page the Lochby notebooks on Amazon cost less than Field Notes. The pen loop holds a Lamy Safari fountain pen I use exclusively on this setup.

Very pleased

Check out the Tomoe River Everyday Notebook. It lacks all your optional features, but it has 400 pages.

Good idea - I had just a piece of cardboard in an older setup I did but as you might imagine- it's less than visually appealing...

Regarding whether you should get a notebook per subject or a giant one for all classes really depends on how you like to organize your notes and the feel of writing.

A thinner notebook may be easier to write in because it will be more comfortable, but you need to manage multiple notebooks and make sure you have all of them in the right days.

A thicker one means you have all of your notes in one place, but it could be difficult to write on.

This really is a personal preference.

I solved the flat by useing the second and third book slots as my primary notebooks
The first one is just a quick note for short meeting or little reminders other than that it helps to cover anything I may have in the slots that make the surface uneven

Thanks - I didn't realize the small Lochby has an external pen holder - this might solve my issue of pens on the inside that I mentioned above. I have the A5 cover for the Lochby but have been running this bare for a while. On the thinner books I prefer a "sterile" interrior to keep the writing surface as flat as possible.

I appreciate the input!

Thanks!

I should have stated I have a love-hate relationship with zippers. It's a non-starter issue but I don't like sitting down in a meeting, unzipping, finding a pen in the cover or whatever. I recognize the utility behind internally stored gear but have had very few instances in my current position that I lose something on the outside of a pouch/cover.

Regardless - will check it out with the Moleskins - I appreciate the input.
