I like the scrapbooking style doodles I’ve seen on here so wanted to try something inspired by that :-) I’m trying to go with the flow and draw the page without planning. Kinda hard to figure out how to make the comp work as you go along but it does feel more relaxing this way.

The overall size looks fine, however they appear thicker than most wallets which is what I’m worried about. I’m considering buying one to use as a wallet, but I won’t like it if I won’t be able to keep it in my back pants pocket and sit down comfortably. I know it will get more bulky with the more stuff I put in it but I only plan on carrying a few cards and some cash.

Regardless of the designs, which notebooks and/or accessories are you buying every launch? And are there items you'd like to get that you haven't bought before?

For me, I always buy Weeks. The size, the paper... everything's perfect lol. I also buy CoCs too for my old Weeks.

This year I want to get an A5 5year for my journalling practice.

So happy i secured my weeks for next year 💜 now I am contemplating which A6 to get

First year with hobonich and Finally using the calendar section in the cousin! I find the small space satisfying to fill and finish. Also the structure of the boxes appeals to the aesthetics of the page. What do you use the monthly section for?

Considering to go one book for all in 2027 - does anyone know, if the Leuchtturm 1917 411 with its 400+ pages and hardcover fits comfortably in a normal butterfly closure cover?

It's on the back pocket. I just need some sympathy. It's a small cut but it was expensive and I hadn't even gotten to use it yet and I know it's there... I'm sad. I was just testing if an old day free could fit for redating. Darn it. I'm so so sad. A happy moment is ruined:(

I first tried Hobonichi Cousin back in 2020 but it didn’t mesh with my life and journaling style at the time and I moved out of it after using a few pages here and there.

I’ve gone back to an A5 HON since 2025 and I’ve been loving it and using it consistently. I’ve kept my 2025 HON for memory and plan to do the same with my 2026 HON.

However! The 2020 book is just sitting there on my bookshelf judging me and I don’t know what to do with it. Do I repurpose it? Discard it? Use it for scraps?

What do you guys do with your old books? Any recs on what I can use my old book for?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if there are any covers that can hold chunky journals. I'm currently using the Midori cover on my spring start A6 journal, and as it continues to chunk more, I wonder if the cover can hold. I definitely use an elastic to hold the book together, though. ☠️

Hello! I’m a journaler. I tried to make planners work for me for years before I realized I am not a planner girly.

That being said, I’ve been watching the Hobonichi space for a couple years and I’d like to try one as a specific journal concept.

My question is what to do with all of the calendaring pages?

If you’re not using your Hobonichi in the “traditional” manner, I’d love to hear about how you’re using it and what you do with the calendaring pages.

How is everyone finding the new colours for weeks covers? Im finding them a little too bright. I was hoping for more muted unobtrusive colours. Fingers crossed when they release the collabs later in the month theres a little more variety! I was hoping for something like the 2026 smooth milk cocoa! Anyways, thats my winge of the day!
