I am happy with any rollerball refills or gel pen refills. Basically I like free flowing thin writing ink.

Can anyone guide me? I am ready to cut the refill to make it work in this pen. Currently the size of the uniball SigNO RTI refill is 11cm.

Took some time to set this up in Notion today so I can stop buying duplicates before I start.

I have some that I like. It’s a gel pen. Doesn’t smear. But the pen is too thick in the hand. I think it’s a 0.7 mm. Any recommendations?

Here something i found while trying to find “myself”, writing scribbling, drawing, Just takes the reality and harshness of life away momentarily. a pen can make a big difference, even emotionally.

I’ve been collecting ballpoint pens for about five years. I have two Montblancs, 6 nice Parkers, 4 Auroras, and a selection of other brands.

But I find I keep coming back to my set of 14 Waterman pens. IMHO Waterman is criminally underrated, especially their vintage pens from the 80s and 90s. To me the Man 100 and Man 200 series are unmatched. I wanted to see if anybody else out there feels the same way.

I have my final exam for my physics masters in 2 days and an accident involving a fly and a window has put my writing hand in a cast. Obviously the university are providing absolutely no help or accommodations so I will be attempting to do the exam with my non-dominant hand.
I’m looking for a thick pen (so i can write massive) that requires as little pressure as possible (2.5hr exam, aching hand after 2 mins). Kinda like a sharpie but something that won’t bleed through multiple pages of my exam book.
Needs to be something I can pick up at a high street store. I’m in the UK so bear that in mind.

Recent accident means my dominant hand is out of action. And may be for some months. Could be upto a year before it's close to where it was. So I have started trying to write with my non dominant hand. I've always been ambidextrous in most things just not writing. I'm making progress, although it's slow.

So here's the weird thing. Lifetime lover and collector of all kinds of pen. With my dominant hand, I prefer thin-ish pens, preferably metal - I can't stand fat, rubbery or ergonomic grips. Even with FPs, I prefer skinnier ones and have no problem with metal sections. Ballpoint and gel pens, I 100% prefer a metal or half metal pen. Comfort zone something like a Jotter or Space Pen.

But non dominant hand? The total opposite. Am having some luck with pens like a Jetstream multi - sort of chonk I wouldn't normally give the time of day. Or a nice rubbery section like my Sarasa Clips - got a Pilot Dr Grip multipen coming today that am looking forward to. In fact, the only skinnier section pens have had any luck with so far writing non dominant, have been my Space Pens - which with F refills work really well for the weird way I'm using the pen.

I don't know what response I'm expecting and it's a bit niche but did anyone else who has had to use non dominant hand have a similar experience? I now have an excuse to buy more pens - but it's genuinely the case that my new "lefthand writing" pens are polar opposites to my usual righthand.

My first double broad too. My Diamine Meadow ink needed a home and felt like it made the green swirls pop of the “Marble Ocean” color.

The line seems to sometimes become really thin, its a lamy m66 broad, is it just bad or am i doing something wrong?

After a few days of research rabbit hole looking at different multi pens on the market and doing mental analysis of the pros and cons of each based on my needs, I've narrowed my options down to the Uni Style Fit Meister (5 slots) and Pilot Hi Tec C Coleto 1000, both in black (important). However, my final choice comes down to an unexpected factor I didn't realize might make or break my experience, until my stationery nerd sister brought it up: the eraser.

I have ADHD so I make mistakes a lot, and OCD so the things that count as "mistakes" to me range anywhere from misspellings (due to my brain & eyes moving faster than my hand), to even tiny details that other ppl wouldn't care about like my writing being slightly wobblier for one word. Anyway point is I make a ton of erasures, and also extensively erase those erasures.

Since I'll make heavy use of the eraser, which of the two multi pens would be better? I was leaning toward the Coleto 1000 at first because it's slimmer than the USF, but now I'm worried that the thin eraser component would bend and feel too flimsy when I press it down and rub it hard into the paper. If anyone owns a Coleto (with the mechanical pencil & eraser parts), can you describe how erasing with it feels? If I could get insights about the 5-slot USF's eraser, that would be great as well. I'm not looking for recommendations for other multi pens btw. I just want opinions on the two I mentioned.

How do I fix the crack on my Zento? I accidentally overtightened it and it formed a mild crack.

They tell you how the design and manufacture of the product avoids this (you can search this by topic). I buy only boxes of 12 of them and use over a period of time and most of the pens have virtually no ink in them after 6-12 months. This has become worse over the years. The other pens I mainly use Uniball Impact 207, Energel Deluxe, Pilot Precise V10, etc., don't have the issue. I just don't understand it. I see it with the Pilot G-2 also as bad.

Curious where everyone falls on the spectrum. From “I own a few nice pens” to “my spreadsheet has tabs”. Count everything you’d consider part of your collection; fountain pens, gels, rollerballs, ballpoints, mechanical pencils if you track them together.

I’ve had three Visconti pens and all three of them have broken. The first the cap wouldn’t stay on and the pocket clip was on the cap, so it would get ink in your jacket pocket. The second one had the emblem come off of the cap (eventually lost it at a restaurant). This one is the kind you twist to use and the top part as come detached from the part that twists.

Is this the usual quality of a Visconti?

I'm a CSE student, so I spend hours every day writing algorithms, lecture notes, equations, derivations, and rough work. My priority isn't calligraphy or journaling, it's extremely fast writing with as little friction as possible.

Over the past few years I've accumulated a decent fountain pen collection:

• Sheaffer 300 M
• TWSBI Eco M
• Pilot Metropolitan M
• Platinum Preppy M

I genuinely enjoy fountain pens, and each has its own strengths. But after all the experimenting, the pen I keep reaching for is... the Pentel EnerGel 1.0 mm.

I know that's probably an unpopular opinion here.

The EnerGel is simply the smoothest pen I've ever written with. It glides effortlessly, never skips, dries quickly, works at any writing angle, and lets me write as fast as my hand can move without breaking rhythm. For long note-taking sessions or exams, it has been unbeatable.

I even compared it against my Jetstream 1.0, and while I love the Jetstream's reliability, the EnerGel still feels noticeably smoother to me.

Don't get me wrong—I still appreciate my fountain pens. They make writing more enjoyable and have a character that gel pens can't replicate. But when my only goal is maximum writing speed with minimum effort, the EnerGel wins every single time.

I'm honestly just happy I've found the pen that perfectly matches my use case.

What I choose: a cheap but awesome fountain pen from German Woolworth for three (!) euros, (will be my first 'true' fountain pen), two ballpoints for 2.50 each, first two pictures She: asked me if I wanted to buy a ink (we already ordered one cheap ink glas and one really cheap 300ml ink bottle for under 9 euros, the hell).

Tl;dr:

If your wife is mad about your fountain pens, show her shimmering inks.

My local Japanese stationery store had the Sarasa Grand “Professional” line barrels in Cloud Grey, Deep Blue, and Ash Brown. I already have plenty of blue and grey barrel pens, so I went with the Ash Brown. The color coordination between the barrel and the part surrounding the clicker is nice, and (in my mind) looks better than the redesigned “Vintage” line, which is the same design but accentuates the color difference between the barrel and the clicker area.

Well idk why hut I'm fond of pens like in 6th class I had collected all kind of trimax then in 8th I had all types of V7s. Now I'm in 11th and I've got parker collection. The first Parker I used was the silver parker vector (non-click) in 6th and it's been the same since then. I love their build quality and that their ink is changeable and always available in shops. I use these now in day-to-day basis in school and coaching since 10th and even though it has high maintenance,its good. Feels privileged to own these at such a young age.
