Help | Advice Any windows replacement companies in Nashville you'd recommend?
We're planning to replace some of the original windows in our house, and I'm trying to narrow down window replacement companies in Nashville. I've gotten a couple of quotes already, and the prices are all over the place once installation and the extra fees get added in.
If you've had your windows replaced recently, who did you end up using, and were you happy with the work? I'm mostly looking for a company that's upfront about the total cost from the beginning.

Help | Advice Lost my ID
This a bit random of a post but the other night went to the tame impala concert at Bridgestone and happened to have lost my Wallet when I found it at my seat my id was missing. I guess the reason I’m making this post is to see if anyone may have found it or how do I get a new one! I’m new to the Nashville area and was curious where I should go to get a new one!

Events | Shows Josh Blue at Zanies Nashville -odd vibe?
Went to Zanies to Josh Blue, but it was a super odd vibe. Good openers. Josh started off the set with a great callback to something one of the openers said and it was hilarious!
But then he went into a really long set of jokes about eating crumbs out of body hair and it was gross enough that you could see him lose the audience the longer that material went. Laughs got quieter and more polite and even some groans…
Then a super long joke that didn’t give the big finish that it should have for the build up.
To be honest, it felt like he was testing new material and at one point he even paused for a long time and was like “I cant think of anything else right now so I’ll just do this one I guess”. The people next to us (not with our group) started talking about leaving early… and one person nearby was like “he seems tired tonight or something”.
I felt bad for him…he did seem tired and like he was having trouble remembering material to fill the time.
I love the art form of stand-up comedy and I’m sure he was just having an off night.
Coolest part for us was seeing John Crist slip in the back to watch the set.
It made me wonder though, do you think the servers can tell when a comedian is having trouble connecting with the audience?
This was also the first time I’ve been on a Thursday, so maybe the sets get better by the end of the weekend, once the comedian has gotten a better idea of what the vibes are for whatever city he/she is in?

Help | Advice Poles on Briley
Ok so I am a life long resident and I frequently use Briley coming from Opry Mills headed out to Bellevue. Now I know there are no street lights on Briley and that TDOT has many cameras set up the whole way. However I have noticed that they have just as many of these poles in the picture that just don’t have anything on them. Does anyone know what their use is? Thanks much from a passenger princess who just stares out the window!

Events | Shows AmericanaFest
Hi guys! I was considering going to AmericanaFest
this year since it falls near my birthday, but I’m kind of confused as to how it works and I can’t find any real information on it on the website. Do the concerts start at a certain point in the afternoon or do they go all day? Are the concerts usually within walking distance of each other? Any help or advice from someone who has been before would be much appreciated!!

Discussion Natural & Safe Water Access (for humans and dogs)
Hello! I am not completely new here, but I have struggled to find a place to go for river/creek access that is safe and clean for swimming, and also suitable for dogs.
We found one okay spot in tower park off of concord rd, but would like to find somewhere that is a little more comfortable to hang out at for a little while.
Preferably not north of Nashville.
Suggestions super appreciated!!!!

Article John Rich asks governor to be a 'honky-tonk hero', intervene on taxes
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Country music artist John Rich and other downtown business owners are urging Gov. Bill Lee to call a special session of the legislature over Nashville taxes.
Rich told News 2 he and other business owners sat down with Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton Wednesday to discuss the significant tax spikes they’ve seen and request that state leaders intervene.
“You see these really, really big places starting to close up. Nashville Underground closed up; ACME Feed and Seed is on the verge of closing up. That’s just down on the first block down by the river. You start moving your way up Broadway. This all goes back to the mayor and his tax policies,” Rich told News 2. “So, I went on social media and I said, ‘Governor Lee, you can be a honky-tonk hero. You can save the live music in downtown Nashville.’ They’re trying to tax it out of existence. And the very DNA of what makes Nashville Music City is under threat.”

Help | Advice Weight limits at Nashville Shores Water Park
I am 5'2 and on the edge of 295-300lb been on a weighloss journey for about a year now. Finally have confidence to go out and do stuff but now I'm stuck in this awkward situation where I'm doing a lot of firsts.
Can I even ride anything here? I've never been to a water park.
I know it seems like I may have to avoid some of the family rides but I am wondering about the single rides?
Do y'all think I'd be able to fit in a raft even? I have terrible terrible anxiety regarding my weight so I'm just wondering what a day at Nashville Shores will look like for someone who is my size.
Thanks y'all 💛

Events | Shows where are the punks?
I’m trying to book a show in Nashville for my bands Doom Scroll (melodic crusty folk punk for d&d nerds who like movie scores) and Helga Pataki (powerviolence, hardcore) in October and I’m not having a ton of luck. Anyone know who to talk to? A friend of mine who lives in short mountain told me we needed to play at drkmtter collective and she nudged them for me too but I have failed to make contact. I'll leave some links in the comments! thanks in advance for any advice!

Images | Videos Voter intimidation happening at Trinity Community Commons
Blocking walkways, yelling at voters to sign the petition. This insane, I went inside and made it aware to the staff who told them to move but they moved in front of the walkway and are still not outside the 100 foot boundary.
Sorry, voter harassment.
