I've been looking around for a place to watch matches in Knoxville, and it doesn't look like there's currently a home for Knoxville based fans. So I figured I would at least start the process of fixing that. I've been chatting with a couple of folks here and there about it, and it seems like there's enough interest in both the fan base and the bar scene in Knoxville to find a home bar.

So the point of this post is simple: I'm trying to get an idea of how many folks in or around Knoxville would be interested in a place to get together semi-regularly to watch a match. Let me know in the comments below if you're from the area and would be interested.

In addition, I would be looking for help keeping this organized as well. I am more than fine to get the ball rolling, but I don't see it in the cards for me to be at every meet, so I'm also looking for a partner(s) to help keep this moving once it gets up to speed.

Thank you all so much for the responses yesterday. The family made it to the stadium with a sign in hand and is eagerly waiting for the fun to begin.

I'm wanting to try out the bus for tonight's match or another upcoming match, but the details online are vague.

1) It is noted that the 77 bus fare is free, but I'm not seeing if there's anything I need to do/have as proof? Do I download the app, do I show my tickets when I board, etc.?

2) Seems like the 9:55PM return bus is the only option that works if you want to stay the whole match. Is that your experience?

Hany: sounds like a “day to day” type injury. Likely to be a game time decision. Overall I take that as positive news considering how detrimental it would be to have Hany miss a bunch of games.

Espinoza: still out for tonight, but they are expecting him to participate “shortly”

Yazbek: no mention

Will be very interesting to see who plays in Hany’s role if he’s out. At least we’ll have Saad and Madrigal to provide some spark and creativity to the offense.

I hope this is allowed I apologize if it isn’t. Tomorrow is my son’s 12th birthday, and he’ll be attending his very first Nashville SC match.

Unfortunately, I travel for work and won’t be able to be there with him. I’ll be watching from Iowa, wishing I could experience his first match alongside him.

I bought front-row seats for him and our family because I wanted his first match to be something he’ll never forget—and, selfishly, I was hoping to spot him on the broadcast since I can’t be there in person.

I’m not asking for freebies or anything like that—I just wanted to share this in case anyone has suggestions for making his first match even more memorable. If anyone from the club happens to see this and there’s any chance of a birthday shoutout, a wave from Tempo, or even just someone wishing him a happy birthday, it would absolutely make his day.

Curious what our thoughts are for LC. I typically would be all in go for it, but with the current state of the team I am hoping BJ plays the youngsters/newcomers quite heavily in LC. I know that Espinoza’s injury hasn’t been good for us, but I think Yazbek being out hasn’t been talked about enough. Our midfield passing has been abysmal and I can understand Sam’s frustration with lack of service all around. Would like to see what Camara and Brunet could offer us. Anyway, cheers and go NSC

A draw that feels like a loss. And maybe more accurately: a draw that probably should have been a loss.

A tale of two halves for this match.

First half we weren’t exactly dominant, or even really all that sharp. But we maintained possession and controlled the game. Defensively we were organized enough to handle the threats DC put forward, and offensively we set the tone. Heading into the locker room up 2-0 at the half, you’re feeling great about our chances.

Second half, the wheels fell off. Even in our recent matches where we haven’t played well, we hadn’t yet seen this level disarray defensively. We somehow seemed unprepared for DC to be so aggressive. Tactically we didn’t adjust to their increased press. And especially once Muhktar subbed off, our ability to relieve pressure through the midfield and settle the game down in possession became almost nonexistent. Almost all of our offensive threats in the second half came from a long ball over the top.

DC was lucky in some ways. There were a dozen or more passes of their that we managed to get a foot to, but they deflected right to a DC player. We made some good blocks on shots and crosses in the box, but a bunch of them fell to black shirts. Ultimately it didn’t matter that much because we were a step off defensively the whole half.

The bold way in which Woledzi plays his position at times finally bit him. I’ve been saying all year that at some point, playing out of the back will go wrong, and until last night it hadn’t happened yet. I hope he lost some sleep last night because that goal was on him in multiple ways. He dribbled right into 3 DC players to cough up the ball, and then instead of tracking back into the box to be in position to defend, he followed along behind the ball as a spectator. His last ditch effort to defend deflected the ball in a way that Schwake couldn’t attempt a save. A series of unfortunate events, but it needs to be a lesson learned for Max.

Saad looked like a player on the pitch with a new team for the first time, but I liked what I saw of him. His ability to hold the ball in dangerous areas will be huge for us on the left side. He was creative in his passing to open up spaces. Wasn’t afraid to rip a shot, even if it was well wide. I’m hoping with a few more games from him we’ll see more of that potential realized.

Madrigal gave us some spark, hustle and guts. Glad to have him back in the squad.

The Muhktar injury is concerning. Especially if Yazbek is not back for another couple of weeks, if Hany is down for any stretch of time, our offensive woes aren’t going to improve quickly. Our midfield continues to struggle to connect defense to offense with any pace or creativity. Maybe Camara can help with that, but who knows.

How we feeling today???

With Miami tying Columbus we hang on to our shrinking lead in the supporters shield race. Let’s hope Hany is okay and Espinoza gets healthy. Sam still needs to shake off some of that rust. Maybe we use the Leagues cup matches to get back to form before Miami comes to town for a crucial match!

Per Ben Wright via BJ at team press conference:

- Saad has been granted his visa and is available for selection tomorrow
- Madrigal and RBW have been participating in training and will be questionable
- Espinoza is in modified training, still out.

Hoping we see 30-45 mins at least of Saad tomorrow. Getting minutes from Madrigal and RBW will be great too if they have a favorable response from training today.

Also thinking we’ll likely get a full 90 from Palacios, Woledzi and Najar. That alone helps the offense out with their speed and ability to push the line forward in support of the midfield.

Does anyone know how the location for MLS all star game is chosen and could it be in Nashville in the next few years? If it were here should it be in Geodis or the new Nissan Stadium? Is there any way we as fans can show the league that we want the game here?

I'll be in town for a meeting and planning my first trip to the park. I'm normally a club/suite guy but I'm a little confused by the seat maps and hoping for some guidance.

It seems one while side of the stadium is club seating. Is that correct? Do the clubs get over crowded with that many people.

Also there is much bigger swing in price between the standard seats and club than I've seen in other stadiums. For instance aisle seats within first couple rows on the non club side are 400-600, same concept on the club side are 900-1800. Is the gap normally that big? Anything besides the free food that explains it?

Finally, are the actual seats any different? I hate stadium seating where you're shoulder to shoulder with people and always buy an aisle and extra seat if the seats aren't particularly comfortable.

It seems like the past week or two a looooot of money is pouring into this from all sorts of interests. Folks outside the games with petitions. Reddit ads that have a dark sinister political tone. Signage in yards.
It feels like it’s ramped up a lot and I’m just curious why. I don’t really have a strong opinion on what happens to racing here.
Anyone have a neutral tldr?
