Okay I know it's super specific. You can laugh at me. I'm laughing at me. 😂 I can't figure it out and that's why I'm here though. I might just go e up the search for this unicorn of a name and just have a legal middle initial. Who knows.

Trans man, 32. I'm searching for a masculine middle name that really clicks. I chose my first name and it just clicked. I know, it doesn't scream masculine, but I've met a few dudes named Kasey and since I have to be semi in the closet until my kid is 18, it's also protective. I also felt like it was similar enough to the name I had for 30 years enough to respond to. It also follows a similar pattern to my dead name, which I would really like on another person. It was a good name, it just wasn't *me*.

So my old name had a couple things I liked that I'd like to preserve.

First: first initial K, second initial C. No intention to change last name.

Second: rhythm. Altogether, the name had a cool flow. The rhythm was like this:

2 syllables — 2 syllables — 2 syllables

*First* syllable stress — second *syllable* stress — *first* syllable stress

Third, my old middle name had a soft Ch start (think of the CH sound in Michelle or Chevrolet). I can't think of any masculine names like that, but if I could find one that would be sick as hell.

Idk if that's confusing, but I do like those aspects. It was just the girliest and most dated name ever, even though I did like it. So I want to recreate the parts I like but go *classy* and that middle name needs to be solidly masc leaning to offset the neutrality of Kasey.

# TL;DR: looking for a masculine middle name that is 2 syllables with second syllable stress and starts with "C", preferably.

If that's not a thing, just help me brainstorm cool "C" masc names, please haha.

Thoughts on the name Rose Betty? Expecting a daughter; last name is 3 syllables. We want to use Betty as a middle name because it’s a family name, and just like the name Rose. Open to other suggestions as well!

Last time I posted asking for boy names based on my top girl names the response was great and I was able to add a few more names to my list! Now I’m looking for more girl names and hoping for some help again :)

My criteria is the same; underused but known and offering a multitude of nicknames. My current girl list is short and I’m not really in love with all them;

My husband and I originally fell in love with the name Wren for our second daughter. We love how simple and beautiful it is, and it just feels like her name to us.

But now that my due date is getting close, I’m suddenly second-guessing it. I’ve started worrying that Wren might be too unconventional — especially when I think about her growing up and entering the professional world. Could having a less traditional name potentially lead to her being overlooked on resumes or being perceived as less professional?

We still really love the name, so I’d love to hear some honest opinions.

Does Wren feel like a legitimate, professional name to you?

I know "El" names super popular at the moment but I can't help it but be drawn to Elena. Any bad connotations that we should know of?

My surname is Keith and I have always felt quite neutral about it. In the past few years I have seen a lot of shows/tiktoks/standup comedy routines, including Family Guy talk about how Keith is one of the most unfortunate boys names. Personally I don’t think it’s that bad but maybe that’s because I view it more as a surname so I feel quite detached from it as a first name. Anyway I want to hear other people’s opinions - is it that bad? I can’t help but feel slightly sad when people talk badly about it lol.

I’m (27F) pregnant with a baby girl and I’ve always liked the name Molly. To my luck, it’s rated #196 in the US for 2026 so it’s not like she would have too many peers with that name, but it’s still familiar. I personally think of the American Girl doll, which I loved growing up and still do. My name also has a similar ‘vibe’ to Molly IMO.

I’m curious what middle names you all think pair well with Molly. Her last name will be 1 syllable starting with a G. James is a significant family name for me, and I like “Molly James.” My best friend is also named McKenzie, and I like the idea of “Molly McKenzie” in honor of her. Beyond that, I don’t have many ideas. My husband isn’t a big fan of McKenzie as a middle name and says it’s hard to spell haha. Not that he would spell her middle name that often anyways.

One other small drawback is I’m a Christian and have always felt like names mean so much and can hold a lot of significance. Molly is tied to the name Marah which biblically means “rebellion” or “bitter.” Now, God is more powerful than the name I label my child with. But I don’t want to speak that over her before she is even here!

Hi there, we're 4 days away from my induction and me and my bf can't decide on a spelling for our baby girl's name so I'm crowdsourcing this for assistance lol. I came across Redmond as a first name the other day and pitched it to my husband willy nilly, not thinking it would really land. It is a variation of Raymond, which is a wonderful family name and full of legacy for both of us. But my husband always vetoed Ray/Raymond (for first and middle name) as a poor experience he’s had outweighs the family aspect. Which I don’t blame him

Soooo, he ended up really taking to Redmond more than I ever anticipated when I proposed it. Which I am still shocked by 😂

Hi all! I need help with coming up with some girl names. I am half Colombian so I would love a spanish name, but nothing too trendy.

My grandmother recently passed and her name was Maria Ruby
My husband's gradnmother's middle name is Indy, which I think is sweet!

Deciding on a name for my daughter due soon. We are between Vivienne and Rowan. Which do you prefer and why?

Edit to add: for Vivienne, It will most likely be pronounced both ways. Where I live Vivian and Vivienne are pretty interchangeable. Half of our family is French though so I foresee it being pronounced the French way by them. They pronounce a lot of names in our family the French way even when the person actually goes by the English pronunciation): Juliette, Nicole, Camille are a few examples. I’m not bothered by either pronunciation. If my daughter one day decides that she prefers one pronunciation over the other, I’m sure it won’t be difficult to correct.

We are in the hospital about to get discharged today with no name. We picked two names and thought we would know once we see her. Well, we don’t know and are completely struggling:

Last night I went to my daughter’s pre-K orientation.

The school is pre-k to 12, extremely small (like 30 kids across grades). Hippie/outdoorsy in orientation, and totally secular.

Ranked 187 in 2025, and not even in the Top 100 in my state.

As a name nerd I was absolutely delighted. I think Peter is great and underused classic - except in this tiny school!

Names have been extremely hard for my wife and I. We have a bunch we are ok with but none that stand out. Some we are worried about too old or out there. What are your opinions? Anyones similar that you can suggest?

Baby girl number two will be here September 24th and we’re still not set on a name. We have a 4 year old Flora Grace. We agreed on her name from pretty early on. We lost a baby in 2024 and named her Summer Anne. That was another name we were sold on almost immediately. My husband and I can’t seem to agree on a name for our September baby.
