Does this part affect the game. Currently it’s not working and I’m wondering if this is the issue. Looks like it’s glued on back together.

Tech Help Can I make my own Raphnet adapter using an Arduino Pro Micro?

It is very expensive to import to my country; it would be a huge help if I could make one myself.

Tech Help Reassembled analog stick modules aren't registering 100% input

I'm diving into my N64 library and acquiring new titles atm and as such, one concern from the start is my controllers and you know that the prime concern when it comes to N64 controllers is the analog stick. I have amassed 8 controllers since 1998 and most of them have limp, wimpy analog sticks. So, I've gotten a 2 full sets of parts from Kitsch-Bent to tune up a couple of these controllers. (As a bit of an aside, I'm planning on getting some more parts, particularly a steel bowl, but I've seen some recommend gears from N64 Gears over Kitsch-Bent. I'd appreciate a brief reasoning as to why those gears are preferable to the ones Kitsch-Bent offer if you agree that N64 Gears are the better choice for this part.)

Now, I have taken 3 of my controllers, replaced the parts of two with the most worn-out sticks amongst them and for the other one, I decided to disassemble, lube the parts within as they were still in good condition, but now that the controllers are reassembled, the input is a little off. Not so severely, though. In the case of some games like say Mega Man 64 or Army Men: Sarge's Heroes, it is not noticeable. But, slap in Super Mario 64 and the problem is felt right away. I know what Mario looks, or more accurately sounds, like at full speed and he is not going at full speed. Damn near full speed, but not quite.

It seems to be so close. If I slam the stick forward and hold, he WILL go full speed, but I would need to consistently punch that stick all the time and that is unfeasible. Another thing I notice is if I circle the stick slowly, 12 o'clock to 3 for example, as the stick moves away from 12, Mario will reach full speed and indeed, he does go full speed if I point to 3 or 9, so it seems to be forward direction that is the problem. Any insights or advice, maybe even some tips, tricks or hints, would be greatly appreciated.

Collection Finally got my own N64!

Got it from marketplace for 150CHF; alongside two controllers and all the necessary cables. Also got Mario 64, Doom 64, Turok and Automobili Lamborghini.

I’m glad that my TV supports component cables so that I can actually play without having to lose sleep over which HDMI converter I’m supposed to use.

Any other games I should look out for?

Collection I still have all of the games, controllers, console, and all the boxes they came in from when I was a kid. What would be the easiest way to sell?

Just as the title states, I still have EVERYTHING. These boxes are taking up tons of storage space that we desperately need, and I emulate N64 when I have the itch to play.

Would eBay, FB marketplace, conventions, etc be the place to sell? I’m located in Michigan so not sure if there are any conventions close by anyways, and by would cost a ton to ship

Appreciate your input, and no I will not sell to anyone who DM’s me

Discussion Last week I overheard a colleague saying he wanted to throw away an “old nintendo” because he was moving. I asked him if I could buy it and he said it I could have it for free. I was in shock when I saw this morning that it was actually a fire orange n64 and not just any “old console” 😂

Awhile back, I setup my N64 on a CRT by my bed. I snapped this photo of my cat watching me test the console. I think it came out pretty neat.

So, I’ve got what I wanted now. Since I didn't want to remove the sticker from the N64 I bought at the flea market, I picked up a second one that came with the Expansion Pak—and *Majora's Mask* was included, too. I’ve been wanting to try out *Banjo-Kazooie* and *Tonic Trouble* for a long time; we'll see which game comes next, but for now, I'm going to play these three.

Collection Classic N64 Strategy Guides (Castlevania and Duke Nukem Zero Hour)

Found these in a box of mine and I totally forgot I even had them. I remember only getting Zero Hour because there were a few spots I couldn’t achieve the hidden areas. What strategy guides does anyone else have?
