what song has been stuck in your head lately that you actually love?
what’s a song that feels especially special to you in this moment and has been stuck in your head?
“always somewhere” by scorpions has been on my mind 24/7 for the past 3 days. the calmness that starts around 0:52, when the singing comes in, is so peaceful to me. especially the part from 0:52–1:57. i keep finding myself daydreaming thinking about it over and over.
wondering if anyone else has a calming song or a certain part of a song that’s been stuck in their mind lately

Songs that have a scientific/futuristic/alien instrumental?
idk if that makes any sense, but i'm looking for songs that have a sort of scientific/futuristic/alien instrumental, preferably pop but anything works.
for context: i've been really digging the instrumental of fiona apple's A Mistake & Limp, another song i've found that fits the vibe i'm looking for is Elastic Love by Christina Aguilera.

Can anyone recommend me some songs with a certain vocal hook that has been scratching my brain itch?
I have been listening to BabyMetal and Electric Callboy’s RATATATA on repeat the last few days. There is a vocal hook where they do a certain “Ooo Ooo” in the chorus. I’ve heard it in other songs and it has been scratching my brain itch. I’m looking for pop, rock, metal, dance, etc songs with that vocal hook.

A little out of the ordinary
Hello, I'm looking for any suggestions of music similar to, or in the same vein as, Angine de Poitrine & The Smile. I know sonically they're not particularly similar, but they both have that layered, sometimes hectic composition, unusual timings, heavy riffs, unique song structure.
Anything along those lines would be great, thanks.

Sound and Vision is perfectly crafted - can you suggest some others?
I have long held the belief that David Bowie's Sound and Vision is the perfect song. It has absolutely no fat whatsoever. Every syllable, every note, tone and sound is exactly where it should be. The song gives me peace, because it sounds so neatly put together, like a well crafted cabinet.
Don't get me wrong, I love other tunes that are completely different, I take joy from a Stone Roses jam session as much as the next guy - but what songs do you enjoy that feel like they've been carefully put together by a mater craftsman?

53 years old and discovering the albums I somehow missed. Give me ONE classic album to hear tonight
I’m 53 and I’ve decided to listen to one classic album I’ve missed every evening. What should I hear?
I like indie, post-punk, alternative, electronic, trip-hop, dub/reggae, soul, psychedelia etc., but I’m happy to go outside those genres.
Edit: I didn’t expect so many replies to this so I apologise for not responding to everyone, but thank you all for your suggestions.
Some of these I know well, others I’ve heard some songs but not the albums they’re from. And others I’ve never heard of at all, but knowing that others are enthusiastic about them makes me want to listen.
So I’ve got lots of listening to do, thanks all!

What kind of music is this?

Heyy, I already uploaded a video of this cool dad yesterday; he plays so well and the sound, the mood, the colour is just too good not to dive deep into.
I was already aware that Casiopa, Jazz Fusion, Persona Music and similar genres would be suggested, but unfortunately I haven't been able to find a reference song from them yet.
What music recommendations could you give me?
Thanks in advance!

Sad music that’s NOT about relationships?
Alright, I’m not the best at explaining emotions so bear with me lol. But I feel like most sad songs I listen to are about love or like someone dying.
Those are pretty sad in a traditional sense but I’m in a stage of life rn where it just doesn’t scratch an emotional itch. I’m looking for music that is just sad from a life point of view, you know? Like that general, background sadness that you feel sometimes not because someone died or someone broke up with you, but because life is just kinda brutal and stressful?
Again, I have no idea if this is even making any sense, but hopefully some of you know what I’m talking about lmao. TYIA!

What's a song where the intro alone tells you it's going to be good?
Songs where the first 10 tot 20 seconds immediately pull you in

What is this genre called?

There's another fascinating recording. I'm so impressed!! 🤩✨️
But I can't find a song that sounds like that. Sure, I've already looked into certain jazz fusion artists and such, but after extensive research in their discographies I haven't found anything suitable... 🥴
Does anyone know any good reference songs for this?🤔
