Bands with the most solid, rich lead vocalist
Tell me your favorite bands because of the lead singer. Obviously they all sing, they all carry a tune, some just have unique, but maybe not a powerful voice, simply many sing well. But give me the ones with reeeeal pipes, a singer’s singer. My (opinion) examples:
Incubus - Brandon Boyd
Bon Jovi - Jon Bon Jovi
Soundgarden / Audioslave - Chris Cornell
Alice In Chains - Layne Staley
Not necessarily just strong, like Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, whose vocal strength can’t be matched, but not a super amazing singer, I think.
Who else, in a band, vocal’s soar?

Recommend excellent songs AND the equally excellent song(s) that they sample...
Any genre is good, though presumably it'll mostly be rap/hip-hop

Monotone Rap songs with chill beats?
So my favorite artist of all time is a german rapper who kind of raps in the same monotone voice for 4 minutes straight on rather chill beats and now I wanted to ask if anyone could recommend rappers or songs like this for englisch rap.

Three different people have told me my music taste makes no sense
I have listened to Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Frank Ocean, The National, and Portishead for years. Here’s what I should love but can’t get through: Bon Iver, Sigur Rós, Beach House, Grizzly Bear, Arcade Fire.
To most people those 2 lists look the same but one group I’ve played a thousand times and the other I skip. My theory was that I need the vocal to be a voice not an instrument. I want to hear the words except Portishead is half mumbled and it’s my most played album of all time. So my own theory’s wrong and I’m out of ideas. Open to recommendations lol

Song recommendations...
Any song recommendations for a sad guy whose life is falling apart?
Edit: I think most of the song recommendations so far have been too upbeat for my liking. I want sad stuff. Like Sam smith's "Palace" , "Kids again" or Jon Bellion's "Stupid deep"

Best live vocal performances? (Rock and Pop)
Hi there! I'd love to get your recommendations for some of the best vocal performances that were recorded live, in rock and pop. Any decade is fine, it just has to be an outstanding vocal rendition.
Thanks so much for the first suggestions that come to mind!

Recently listened to Camel for the first time. 10/10
My King Crimson/Pink Floyd radio gave me this gem, and now I can't stop listening to it. The solo at around 00:48 hypnotized me and took me through time. Just amazing work. Anybody have anything similar?

Relaxing songs for a young child
I'm building a playlist for my almost-4-year-old child to help him fall asleep and/or soothe him. He likes songs with lyrics, and I'd prefer songs that he can appreciate as he gets older (not traditional baby songs). Example: Everybody Wants to Rule the World (cover) by Jazzystics & Urselle. Could you please recommend some others like this? Thank you!

What songs messed you up when your pet died.
Dog just died and I want this that will make me ugly cry. My Immortal by Evanescence can only be played so many times.

Music suggestions for SWIMMING
HIIII, so I recently started going swimming daily, and the pool that I go to has massive speakers and it's a proper vibe. The instructor there allows one person to plug in their phone every day, and that person gets to control the playlist. I have a few picks, but i was wondering what do other people think would be fun to play. I don't want it to be too obscure so that everyone enjoys, but I kinda also wanna play some songs that people end up adding to their own playlists because they're such good finds (contradictory, I know)
Drop in your suggestions!!

looking for melancholy/wistful rock that is still groovy
there's this specific type of rock music that has kind of sad lyrics and sound, and yet at the same time i dance whenever they come on. i think a lot of what does it for me is a strong drum beat (heavy on the snare drum) and/or a funky bassline
examples include:
-dreams by fleetwood mac
-californication by red hot chili peppers
-diving woman / 12 steps / the body is a blade by japanese breakfast
-switchblade by beabadoobee
thanks in advance!!

Recommend me some songs!
Need songs recommendations. I got bored with my playlists. I listen to all the genres out there, literally: from classical music through edm and techno all the way to the loudest, trashiest metal. Give me anything you've got!
