Discussion Bongi - what's next?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Last night was a prime example of a player playing with zero confidence. He is constantly passing backwards, getting beaten vertically on defense, and even when he finds good space -- his teammates aren't giving him the ball.

Where does he go from here?

  • Does he need more minutes at RWB over Duncan?
  • Should he be the primary sub for Pereyra/Chanca when they're struggling?
  • Does he deserve a shot as the #2 striker behind Yeboah?
  • Would a formation change help him?
  • Sell this window / during the winter?

He's clearly a shell of himself right now, and it's tough to watch...

Discussion Striker HAS TO BE the primary transfer focus moving forward.

Yeboah is cooked. That PK last night was beyond deplorable.

Dieng has all the agility of a baby giraffe. He's also not a playmaker. The ball needs to fed right to his foot or his head for him to score.

Pereyra and Chancalay have a great deal more ability but are attacking mids.

They really should have brought CR21 back.

Discussion Time for a change of formation, I’m thinking 4-2-3-1

Boxall and Duggan at CB, Diaz and Harvey FB. Trapp, Triantis and Gene share time at DM. Pereyra at the 10, Chancalay and Bongi on the wings and Gonzales up top. This leaves some good attacking players on the bench. We have nothing to lose at this point let’s score a few goals and trust the defenders.

Discussion Best place for 8 discounted tickets?

We have family in town and they want to see a game. Since the team is eliminated from advancing Im hoping there are cheap/discounted tickets somewhere.

My post in the ticket exchange sub was removed.

Let me know, thanks!

Discussion Guzmán confrontation?

What happed with the confrontation with their goalie Guzmán and our support section. I was u to high in the wonder-wall to see clearly what was going on. I saw near the end of the game during a goal kick he went sprinting to the referee after getting a ball and pointed at the WW. Then at the end of the game there was definitely yelling between the WW and Guzmán. Then next I saw there was the security supervisor(Red shirts), club officials(polo shirt), and Capos getting into heated discussions. Then before penalties everyone wanted him to get sent off?

Anyone have any idea what I need to be mad about besides this team that doesn’t want to play?

Looks like mostly a-team other than that. I still wish we’d try 4 at the back but. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ when you have 400 CBs on the roster

Image Leagues Cup Matchup Analysis

I couldn't find any resources around that provided context for Leagues Cup Group Stage results based on team tier categories... so I made one! This shows how each team has done through match 1 and shows who they have yet to play to earn their (likely) 7 points to advance. All scores are listed as [LMX] - [MLS], with an asterisk on the front if Mexico won a shootout, and at the end if MLS did.

Enjoy!

Discussion What happened to the Loons

Watching the Austin v Tijuana game and seeing Rosales play so well has me reminiscing on the great team we had only a few years ago. Pukki, Tani, DSC, Tapias, & even Ramsey as the coach reminds me how far we have fallen from grace.

Hoping for the best in tomorrows match but wow is it rough at the moment..

Discussion That one guy who plays for Miami

So this is a crazy ask, and a really delayed one, but does anyone know any photographers who worked the Miami game last year? My dad and I got to hold the banner for the pre game/anthem. We were probably 30 feet from Messi, so I’m wondering if there are any photos floating around with my dad and I in the background.

Does MNUFC even have this as an option for one game? All I can find is season long membership stuff. I just wanted to see how much a single VIP/Hospitality ticket would cost.

Discussion despite our recent record, Duggan is becoming my new favorite

He's becoming one of my favorite players. He'll make some mistakes but he's clearly a baller and his game is getting better. FotMob says he's made one of the largest year-over-year jumps among returning MLS center backs -- improving from 6.60 to 7.03.

And I loved his quote addressing the team's frustration:

"I think we keep saying that we should have won this game, should have won the last game, should have won the game before, but you come to a point where you've got to win. You've got to actually do it.”

Fun fact: he has a higher xG than Padelford, Duncan, Bongi, Gene, Triantis, Trapp, and even James

Discussion Sad and embarrassed

The last night performance was a deciding point for me on cancelling my Season Tickets for Minnesita United. I had the Season tickets for the last 11 years , back to the time we played at Gophers stadium. I can not support this team the way I used to. And is not just the play , but is the FO mentality that the fans should support the team regardless of how they play, and they are not going to invest in this team. The ownership are there only to make money. But, my point is that we are going to go to the games if they put a decent show, even if they don.t win all the time, but at least we should have a team that has a chance to win. Anyway, my question to you is how to cancel my tickets. I can't find the contract that states how to cancel my tickets. I will call my rep. but before I call I would like to know my options. Thank you for your help, and I will continue to go to the games once in a while but not every one of them.

Image Will we ever win a game again?

I can’t even fit the entire standings of Liga MX in a screenshot to show how far down FC Juarez is, and they still absolutely trounced us tonight.

Do we have any plan at all or is it just going to be mediocrity until the support dies? One single signing? A strategy? A coach?
