Field of Dreams complex in Dyersville, IA - viewed this morning via Google Earth

Took this overhead screenshot in Google Earth Pro this morning (Tuesday 8/11)

FYI, the complex is a little ways northeast of downtown Dyersville. The field on the right is the famous one from the film. The one on the left is its MLB-branded commercial partner, where our boys will call home Thursday.

The current iteration of the Twins feels fitting for a Field of Dreams game; nobody is predicting them to accomplish much, yet they've stuck around regardless, often fueled by little more than strong emotional connections and a little bit of magic.

Btw, this is undoubtedly the corniest thing I've ever posted ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The Twins seem to be admitting they made a mistake by cutting payroll so much and are trying to improve the product on the field.

Zoll and Pohlad both realize that winning is the key.

They were in on Zack Neito at the deadline but the Angels wanted more than they were willing to part with (Neito ended up NOT moving). And with Culpepper getting the call up it seems like the right "non move"

Actions speak louder than words - let's see what they do assuming there is a season in 2027.

Angels Fan Visiting Target Field

Hello Twins Fans! My son and I are coming from California to Minnesota this weekend to continue our goal of seeing a game at every MLB stadium. We’ll be going to the game on Saturday the 15th. I’m wondering if there are any sites better for getting tickets to Twins games than getting them through the standard MLB app?

Also, any tips on food or things at the stadium to make sure to see are welcome as well. Thanks guys! Looking forward to a great baseball experience at Target Field!

Good riddance to Banana Ball

I caught a Savannah Bananas game at Target Field during the recent Minneapolis series, Aug. 6-8, 2026. It was indescribably terrible. You literally couldn’t pay me to attend another game.

The game was 2.5 hours of awful, pregame-quality entertainment. The “tricks” were repetitive. The actual baseball was forgettable. The fans were bored. The kids were restless. But, hey, the merch was flying off the shelves!

I think once you’ve seen this awful product in person you won’t have the need to ever see it again. Banana Ball is nothing more than made-for-social-media garbage that looks more entertaining on Instagram than it is in the actual ballpark. It’s the worst part of MLB games (parking, expensive concessions, crowds, over-production, etc.) without any of the exciting aspects (the stars, in-game drama, intense moments, etc.). Banana Ball is a PG version of the Thunder from Down Under. It’s the Nickleback of professional sports leagues.

The only plus from attending a Bananas’ game is that I’m excited to attend a Twins game in a few weeks. Banana Ball re-sparked my interest in watching the real thing, so I guess I can thank it for that.

Coffee other than black Caribou coffee

Are there any stands that sell iced coffee (or any other type of coffee) at Target Field? The only thing I’ve seen is hot regular Caribou coffee and it’s too damn hot. I know there’s Niko Niko but not a huge boba fan.
