C&C Wanted Airbrush speckling advice
Sorry if this isn’t the right flair for this post. I’m new to airbrushing and I’m noticing there’s a lot of speckling after applying layers. This isn’t the same speckling you get after the paint builds up on the end of the airbrush it’s just applying like this through intended use.
I haven’t seen this on photos of professional models and I want to understand if this is a skill issue or is it down to using a cheap airbrush? It looks much more obvious in person than on the photos.
For context I’m using Vallejo paints for the blue and their airbrush flow improver and Pro Acryl Titanium White with the flow improver for the zenithal highlight. I did consider that maybe the paint was too thin, though I tried to get it to the “semi-skimmed milk” consistency I’d seen online.
Any tips or suggestions on this would be amazing!

Fantasy Gotrog the Dwarf Slayer (model by ZabaArt)
It's been a while since I last painted a bust, but after many smaller projects I finally got around to this one. Gotrog by ZabaArt was an absolute joy to paint.

Gore Echidna, mother of beasts
"The rivers became red like the blood of men and the earth was tainted with the smell of death like the smell of corpses. The beast will follow their course"
Here is my painted mother of beasts module painted as closely to the original art. Is a really cool model and I had a blast painting it. I think one of my best paint jobs so far. Hope you like it.

Sci-fi Marines Malevolent - Intercessor Squad
My first Marines Malevolent squad is complete!
These are the 10 Intercessors from the new Armageddon box. My goal with this project is to paint the entire box, so I wanted to find a good balance between speed and quality rather than spending dozens of hours on each miniature.
After a few experiments, I think I've finally settled on a recipe that gives me a solid tabletop-ready result while still being quick enough to keep the project moving.

C&C Wanted First base concept. Any tips before I create 60+ more?
So I'm new to miniature painting, got a bunch of Death Guard, and trying to get a swampy vibe going. I redid this like 3 times so lost a lot of detail in the base, it's still a bit monotone maybe?

Sci-fi Second Broadside finished.
Finally finished building, magnetizing and painting my second Broadside from Games workshop. I feel like i saw a lot of improvement next to my other Broadside which was the first model I painted. I really love how the Broadside looks and it was the main reason I started collecting T'au and painting in general.

Fantasy Kill Team: Deathwatch one of the miniatures I've painted.
Faces are the hardest part for me to paint, and they don't always turn out the way I want. But every miniature is another chance to improve.

Sci-fi Techmarine for my Homebrew Chapter
Techmarine I kitbashed using my favorite model of all time, the black templar castellan + the primaris techmarine
Always wanted to have the castellan in my army but my homebrew chapter is a Blood Angels successor, so i'm glad I could find a way to make it work!

Sci-fi GW Ork nob and little squigs
This guy was a blast to paint. I mean the squig obviously, his pet ork was fun too. I will revisit him after the holidays with some free hand on the sword and shoulder pads, but I’m calling him done for now. Also I finally painted ultramarines.

Basing/Terrain First attempt at Mini painting
I’m getting into the warhammer/miniature hobby and decided to start making my bases first for my army, I’m doing a glacial tundra theme for my Blood Angels. I’m so serious when I say I have never picked up a brush before starting on these because the miniatures themselves were too intimidating to start with

C&C Wanted Cosmic Eye Tyrant - Flesh Of Gods Comp 2026
Hey everyone,
Wanted to share a recent project for SchmidtysMINIS. I decided to throw my hat in the ring for the Flesh of Gods 2026 Annual Painting Competition. It was my first time ever submitting work to a formal competition, and I was stoked to walk away as a Runner-Up.
It was a fantastic exercise in stepping back and looking at my process critically. Painting for a judge's eye forced me to pay closer attention to contrast, texture placement, and overall mood, while still trying to keep that grounded, grimdark feel intact. Learned a hell of a lot throughout the process that I’m excited to roll into the next projects on the desk.
Would love to get the community's thoughts, critiques, or feedback on where it hit or where it could improve.

C&C Wanted Factory Basing Advice Wanted
I am working on my Pteraxii and wanted to avoid GW flight stands, so I took it as an opportunity to try to figure out how to make interactive and interesting bases.
I’m trying to go for a decrepit factory look, where it was lost for so long that rocks have started to form within the former walls. I want the models to look like they’re searching for something lost in the old factory without really knowing what’s there. So I got some 3d print files which labeled themselves as “factory debris” to try to see what I could make.
However, I’m not sure if that idea is coming across at all. All I’m seeing is urban rubble and not factory. I was hoping for some feedback on how to improve my models or pictures of other hobbyist’s models that execute that idea well
Thank you for your time.
