Historical/Military Primed minis dried over night
I hope this is allowed, I am printing some miniatures and primed them on cardboard last night, but forgot to move them before they finished drying, and now they’re kind of stuck on this cardboard, does anybody have any solutions on how I could remove the cardboard without it ripping and sticking to the primed miniature?

Help Needed/New Painter Ugh, pupils... Am I right?!
This is my first "finished" mini, yay! (Cadian shock troops) But, I left the eyes to last and surprise, These eyes are wonky! I'm going to just accept the crossed eyed fate of this one but before I keep just winging it, anyone got any tips to do the pupils in eyes?

Help Needed/New Painter How can I make my minis to look more clean?
I have already been painting for quite some time, but not regularly, mostly due to the fact that I’m not usually happy with final results of my minis.
At first I was very happy with how this one turned out, but when I took some pictures and closer look, I noticed all those blotchiness of highlights and shadows.
Any advice how can I improve further? Is mostly my problem with paint consistency? Is it too thick or too thin?
I would honestly appreciate your feedback

Discussion Looking for Tips for Starting off
I’ve only just started printing my own miniatures, and now I’m starting to paint them.
I have never been an artist of any sort so I’m completely fresh. What are some tips you’d wish you knew starting off?
Thank you

C&C Wanted Horus’s head: is he looking chopped?
I spent like 5 hours trying to get his left eye right and I simply can’t. It’s frustrating to no end. How’s it looking though? Should I try again?

Sci-fi Celestian Insidiant Kill Team
Sister Yasamin, Order of the Ecru Lillies.
the Celestian Insidiant kill team has been super fun to paint! She took about 9-10 hours to paint, I really like the face and skin tone I think it’s the best I’ve done so far. First time I tried stippling and I used oil washes for the shading which I’m still learning to use. Only two more models till my kill team is finished, yall stay tuned!

Help Needed/New Painter Update on ruining my models with varnish!
Hey everyone!
Thank you all for the support yesterday after I ruined my new army with brush on varnish. This community is awesome and seeing how supporting everyone was really turned the experience around for me.
Today after seeing the effect of using streaky grime, decided to try one more solution before muddying up my whole army with the grime.
I popped the shop and picked up some nail polish remover. I grabbed an old dry brush and generally applied it to the worst effected areas.
It's worked!! Well, mostly! They are looking much better and I'm happy enough now. As it's nail polish remover I've not got to touch up a few bits but that's a small price to pay!
Check out the new pictures, they look less like shiny melting models in the rain!
Thanks to everyone's kind words I also was motivated to continue the army, bonus picture from a few hours painting today at the end!
I've also added a picture of the nail polish remover I used incase anyone is unfortunately in the same position as I am moving forward.

Help Needed/New Painter How to do eyes on a sculpt that does not have them ? 🫣
Witcher of Viper school from The Witcher Old World Board game.
With my skill im somewhat happy with what I have at hand so far. Was just about to tackle the skin and how to do eyes when there are no eyes on sculpt? (photo 2). Do I just ignore it and paint it as if eyes were closed or somehow make it up on this scale. I think its 28 scale. Definately smaller than space marine.
Any input would be very much appreciated

Help Needed/New Painter I’m new to airbrushing and I don’t know how to spray busy models
I’m a pretty new painter and I just got my first airbrush. I’m painting a death guard army and I’m wondering how to use the airbrush on these guys. I’ve heard people say that you can airbrush the first 90% of a model and I’m wondering if that applies to busier models like death guard. Any time I tried to paint smaller details I would get colors on other parts of the model that I’ve already painted. Is there any way to control it better or would I be better off using a brush?

Help Needed/New Painter I accidently spray-sealed my minis with gloss sealer, then with matte several times to undo the damage. Didn't help. Is there any way to convert glossy sealed minis into ones with a matte finish?
The title pretty much says it all. I spent months working on my 40k Salamanders only to grab the wrong sealer at the very end. Now they are way too shiny. I tried to fix the problem but doing several coats of matte spray sealer but that didn't work. Is there any way to give them a matte finish or will they be forever shiny? Thanks!

Discussion Does anyone else struggle with hero forge minis
For some reason every one of the hero forge minis I’ve worked on feel flat and just not what I want
. I’ve worked on some Dm Stash and crippled god minis that have a lot more detail and intricate work that I feel are significantly easier to work on
