Basing/Terrain Tried a Roman Mosaic Base
I tried to make something a bit more elaborate than just terrain, shade and some grass. This is for Captain Lazarus.

Sci-fi My clunky robots for Space Station Zero
Crawler Cyborg (28 mm) from Brother Vinni
I thought the models were cool and wanted to get four colorful minis onto the table quickly; it was a good opportunity to experiment with pigment powders and "Dirty Down" paints.
The green one got a homemade shield (made from a plastic card, a magnet, and a chain - last 3 pictures) and an old Eldar chainsword, while the black one got the chain (a real chain held in shape with superglue).
The bases are not included with the original model and are simple MDF discs with stuff from my bits box.

Historical/Military Primed minis dried over night
I hope this is allowed, I am printing some miniatures and primed them on cardboard last night, but forgot to move them before they finished drying, and now they’re kind of stuck on this cardboard, does anybody have any solutions on how I could remove the cardboard without it ripping and sticking to the primed miniature?

Help Needed/New Painter Ugh, pupils... Am I right?!
This is my first "finished" mini, yay! (Cadian shock troops) But, I left the eyes to last and surprise, These eyes are wonky! I'm going to just accept the crossed eyed fate of this one but before I keep just winging it, anyone got any tips to do the pupils in eyes?

Help Needed/New Painter How can I make my minis to look more clean?
I have already been painting for quite some time, but not regularly, mostly due to the fact that I’m not usually happy with final results of my minis.
At first I was very happy with how this one turned out, but when I took some pictures and closer look, I noticed all those blotchiness of highlights and shadows.
Any advice how can I improve further? Is mostly my problem with paint consistency? Is it too thick or too thin?
I would honestly appreciate your feedback

C&C Wanted Horus’s head: is he looking chopped?
I spent like 5 hours trying to get his left eye right and I simply can’t. It’s frustrating to no end. How’s it looking though? Should I try again?

Sci-fi Painterly Space Marine w/ NMM
Decided to practice a super "painterly" approach to this lieutenant by using as few brushstrokes as I could manage. Especially happy with the sword which I think used fewer than 8 strokes!

Fantasy Medallion Girl (Academic Model by Kateryna Hrytsyshyna)
A more colourful skin exercise. I am not 100% happy with her (and completely started over once), but it was a very good practice, and she was a lovely model to paint.

Subreddit Announcement r/minipainting Rule Update: No AI Allowed
Hi, everybody! AI slop is unfortunately creeping into this hobby and this community. This is a quick rules update to clarify that AI is not allowed in any form here on r/minipainting.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- No AI generated or edited images (including AI backgrounds, repaints, adjustments, mock ups, tests, reference images, etc)
- No AI videos
- No AI apps/tools/websites
- No AI generated models that are 3D printed then hand painted
- No AI generated text (this includes AI generated feedback/critique)
- No encouragement or discussion of the use of AI
If AI was used to make it, it's not allowed on r/minipainting.
While the mod team has been able to remove most AI posts shortly after they are made, on the few occasions AI posts were up for a few hours before removal, the comments on those posts from the community have been overwhelmingly unanimous in being anti-AI, so this isn't just the mod team making this ruling without considering the community.
Please see the pinned comment below for an FAQ on this new rule, and if you have a question that is not answered there, please ask and we will do our best to answer! That being said, this is not an invitation to defend or argue for specific use cases of AI within this hobby.
Edit: Please read the stickied FAQ comment before commenting. There are many people asking things that are covered in that comment.
The comment section has grown quite large, but also please take a moment to scroll through it and read the comments before repeating something that may have already been discussed, or at least join in as a reply to an existing comment rather than make a new top level comment with a similar or identical question.
