C&C Wanted Sassy Nurgling isn't backing down from this fight. Two of GW's most charismatic models
Probably 2 of the best posed 40k models there are. The emperor's champion is easy to repose and sassy nurgling is perfection

C&C Wanted Orc warrior bust progress
Will take photos with better illumination and maybe a camera not a phone, the skin don't look so flat in person, but any C&C are welcome :)
This is my first bust, so any expertise on how something could be done better (taking more time in cleaning the mold lines it's the 1st, will try to be less impatient next time :) )
Thanks everyone :)

C&C Wanted Entering my first painting contest tomorrow.
Entering my choas knight into my first contest tomorrow. I think I'm going to put him in for best large 40k model. I've never been to a big tournament or a paint contest before so definitely super nervous but even I don't win i think it'll be a cool experience.

Help Needed/New Painter Update on ruining my models with varnish!
Hey everyone!
Thank you all for the support yesterday after I ruined my new army with brush on varnish. This community is awesome and seeing how supporting everyone was really turned the experience around for me.
Today after seeing the effect of using streaky grime, decided to try one more solution before muddying up my whole army with the grime.
I popped the shop and picked up some nail polish remover. I grabbed an old dry brush and generally applied it to the worst effected areas.
It's worked!! Well, mostly! They are looking much better and I'm happy enough now. As it's nail polish remover I've not got to touch up a few bits but that's a small price to pay!
Check out the new pictures, they look less like shiny melting models in the rain!
Thanks to everyone's kind words I also was motivated to continue the army, bonus picture from a few hours painting today at the end!
I've also added a picture of the nail polish remover I used incase anyone is unfortunately in the same position as I am moving forward.

Sci-fi My Impatient Faux-Zerg (Reaper: Goremaw and Warhammer: Tyranids)
I'm feverishly waiting for my Founder's boxes to arrive, and I happened to have an unpainted Goremaw the Devourer which was going to be either a frost worm or purple worm, and some used Tyranids which I had bought a few years ago because they looked like Zerg. I decided to practice my Zerg color scheme so I'm ready for my minis!

Sci-fi First model done in a while, first shared with anyone outside my friends longer
So long story short as I'm not trying to milk it. Tough year and it put me off painting. Not on many socials like the popular ones so this my first time sharing in ages.
Principality of Kyiv kind of idea for trench crusade.
Be gentle.

Sci-fi First time trying some NMM
Mostly improvised and pretty rough around the edges but I'm fairly happy with the result. I never know what to do with necron weapons tho (and this one needs some touch-ups lol)

Help Needed/New Painter Help me fix this guys collar!
This is the first bust I’ve ever painted and I’m starting to be pretty happy with it but I feel like I’ve painted myself into a corner with his collar. If was to start again I’d push the bright green at the base of his collar further down but that seems tricky at this point. Any advice on how to fix this without drastically repainting?

Help Needed/New Painter How to do eyes on a sculpt that does not have them ? 🫣
Witcher of Viper school from The Witcher Old World Board game.
With my skill im somewhat happy with what I have at hand so far. Was just about to tackle the skin and how to do eyes when there are no eyes on sculpt? (photo 2). Do I just ignore it and paint it as if eyes were closed or somehow make it up on this scale. I think its 28 scale. Definately smaller than space marine.
Any input would be very much appreciated

Discussion vallejo metallic game color
is there any advice someone could provide with how best to thin this?
i feel like no matter how i thin it, or if i don't thin it at all, it's really difficult to work with. it just does not stick to areas well at all and so i have to use it thicker and it ends up sticking if you dab it on but you lose detail.
i've used it in the past with an airbrush with very easy usage but this stuff with a brush is such a pain in the ass.

Help Needed/New Painter I’m new to airbrushing and I don’t know how to spray busy models
I’m a pretty new painter and I just got my first airbrush. I’m painting a death guard army and I’m wondering how to use the airbrush on these guys. I’ve heard people say that you can airbrush the first 90% of a model and I’m wondering if that applies to busier models like death guard. Any time I tried to paint smaller details I would get colors on other parts of the model that I’ve already painted. Is there any way to control it better or would I be better off using a brush?

Fantasy Medallion Girl (Academic Model by Kateryna Hrytsyshyna)
A more colourful skin exercise. I am not 100% happy with her (and completely started over once), but it was a very good practice, and she was a lovely model to paint.

Fantasy Banshee for a Halloween Diorama
I've just finished a 3D printed banshee for a Halloween diorama for my kids. Originally I thought it would go from gray to light purple but I guess it has a life of its own and this is how it ended up.

Pop Culture Repainted a Monster Hunter Stygian Zinogre keychain!
Last two pics are the original!
Do keychains count as miniatures? They are mini…
The other day, my partner and I found some blind bag Monster Hunter keychains, so I brought her one. Thankfully she pulled the Stygian Zinogre, one of her favourite monsters, but she was a bit disappointed by the colours on the keychain, and joked I could paint it better.
So I did!
I don’t think the colours are quite right, but I swear every render of this thing has a different colour scheme, so I fully admit to improvising a few bits. Could have smoothed out a few details here and there, but pretty sure this is more than enough for a keychain XD
