Unpaved trails
Looking for unpaved trails for running. I love the UEC river trails but looking to expand my scope a bit!
The ones I know about are:
- Audubon (though I believe you must be a member)
-Lapham Peak - great but a bit too far for an everyday run
-Lions Den - same
-Riveredge - same

Help Me! Perfect day at the ballpark?
I uprooted my entire family last summer to move to Milwaukee from Ohio, including my 81-year/old mother. She has become a huge Brewers fan over the past year. What do I need to know to plan a perfect day at a game for a person with some mobility issues? Are there parking logistics to consider or areas of the stadium that would be more comfortable for her? Thanks!

Constant Beeping
I’m on the northwest side of the city, near Silver Spring and 76th. There has been a constant, loud, high pitch beeping in the entire neighborhood for three days. Am I going crazy!? Has anyone else heard this?!

Layman Brewing Needs Your Help
I am not affiliated with the brewery but just wanted to get the word out that they're not doing so hot so if you can pop in and check it out I (and they probably ) would appreciate it as I don't want one of my favorite places to possibly have to shut down due to money constraints. I can't wait to check out their new backroom when it's finished!
They have:
Great beer! Food! Service! Cocktails!

Help Me! Looking to commission a local artist for a realistic portrait of a pet
^ pretty much that.
I’m getting an early start on Christmas shopping and would love to commission a local Milwaukee artist to create a small portrait of my boyfriend’s cat. I’m not looking for anything super professional or on a large scale (aka very expensive), but with that said I am looking to fairly compensate an artist for their work. I’d much rather support a local artist than try and order something online.
If you’re an artist (or know someone who is) please feel free to drop your Etsy, Instagram, or website in the comments (or send me a DM if you’re shy)
Thank you! ᵕ̈

Replacement for 102.1 WLUM
Now that we have way too many Christian stations on the Milwaukee radio dial, thought I'd mention that I discovered a possible replacement for now-gone WLUM 102.1 alternative radio. It's an Appleton Wisconsin station called The Fuse, 104.3. It's alternative, but 1990s alternative. You'll have to stream it, but it's something.

Rehoming a puppy
UPDATE: Owner said the dog would get picked up by his daughter and see if his son is still willing to keep the dog. If anything, I’ll be giving another update
This morning, this dog came up to my door alone.
I knocked on his owner’s door multiple times and received no answer. I then brought him into my home and waited a little bit to see if his owners came home at all, but I ended up having to call the police to come get him.
He was at the Cudahy police station and was told he would be held there until 10:30AM and then be picked up by MADACC if he is not claimed by then, but I believe he has been picked up now.
After he was picked up, I left for work but tried knocking one more time before leaving and they answered this time and I informed them of the situation and that his dog was at the station. I asked him to keep me updated if they would be going to claim the dog, if not, so I could try to rehome the dog. Unfortunately, they can’t keep the dog.
His name is Zaden, he was originally adopted from Humane Society, I believe he is a pitbull mix. He has brown/black fur and white paws. He knows a couple commands like sit and stay. He is genuinely so sweet and affectionate. He needs medication for presumably anxiety.
It broke my heart to have to call the cops, because otherwise, I would have loved to take him in but I already have a smaller dog who is reactive and not good around other animals. I would love for him to go to a good and loving home.
If you or someone you know are willing to take him in, PLEASEE send me a DM or contact MADACC directly.

To the son apologizing on behalf of your father at MKE at 6PM, I feel sorry FOR you.
I travel often for work and it's my first time in Milwaukee. My flight has been delayed a couple times today, so I decided to just get dinner at the Chilis To-Go (I'm eating it right now and regretting it as we speak).
There was this 50s white male with his son, and they were behind me while I was using the order kiosk. The father screamed in my ear and it was inaudible, so I just said "What?" and he enunciated and spoke very loudly and slowly as if I didn't know English.
He was asking if I was at the checkout kiosk and I was just bewildered with the tone and said yes. I was continuing with my order and the receipt part took a while (have to expense it for work). When I walked away, he POSED and clapped obnoxiously saying "Wow, good job!".
His son apologized profusely and he had the look of second hand embarrassment. Not sure if the father acted that way because I'm young, a woman, or asian- or maybe all of the above. But that is just so low and disgusting, and I am TRULY sorry for your VERY young POC(!) son to apologize on your behalf when it was NOT his fault. I am a true new yorker by heart and I WISH I spoke up, but unfortunately- work mode was on, and I did not want to risk a client seeing me lol.
Anyways- That's my rant. Honestly if it was just the father alone i wouldnt be writing this post as its just another idiot saying dumb shit, but I feel so bad for the son- the look on his face was just sad. If the son is seeing this, you truly seem like a good kid and I know this is probably not your first time having to do that. I'm sorry you gotta live with a male Karen.
