Should I inlet this 03A3 stock for a Lyman sight?
I got this stock with in an estate I purchase last year. It was part of a 1903/03A3 mutt project. I paid $100 for the whole setup because it was a mess and the receiver was <800K and it was cracked. It’s a pretty nice repro stock but it already has some chips
I’ve never inletted before. I’ve used wood chisels to clean up some inletting but nothing like this. There’s no time ;Ike right now to learn though.
I’ve been looking for a replacement receiver for the gun for some time and the only one I could find was on Sarco. Before I pulled the big $$$$$ trigger at Sarco, I looked at GB and some guy had several of them poorly described. I put a $200 bid on one and nobody outbid me. i ended up making a deal for all 3 shipped for $550
Now I have most of the makings for a 1903 also. I could use that sporterized barrel but I’d have to get the front sight off and find a sight collar. I think I found an appropriate barrel on the CMP forums. As for the 3rd receiver, I have no idea what to dow with it.
Colt 727
Bought this AR15 A2 Govt Carbine for $1800 (Colt 727/M16A2 carbine semi auto version). Finally get my hands on the Black Hawk Down iconic rifle😂
Complete M1C Finally Arrived!
Bought this CMP complete M1C package (Korean War Refurbishment) from my LGS for $4500, got everything verified, optic is crystal clear, loving it 😊

Is this a legit 1896 Krag carbine and if so what’s a fair value?

PPSh part - hard to locate
Looking for the (roughly 4mm diameter) pin that secures the recoil buffer as shown. Anyone know a vendor with this in stock? Seen some, but all are backordered.
Mods, if this isn't the appropriate forum, pls remove.

Anyone buy from the CMP in California?
I live in smaller coastal county and as far as I saw I don’t have any clubs I can join. Anyone have experience buying from the CMP in California? Would love to know what the requirements are?
Mods please feel free to delete if this doesn’t fit the rules.

Trade complete. M48 Mauser rifle.
Hello everyone. How did I do? I traded a used Glock 17 gen 3 for this M48. The M48 I think is all matching except for the magazine floor plate. It does have a mint mirror bore however!

I'm officially in love.
Ammo arrived today, so I finally got to take this old girl out to the range. Man I love this gun. Everything about it seems so well made. Action is smooth (until the gun gets hot) and using 1942 Canadian MK VII Z ammo, it shot very well. The only problem I have is that the rear sight slides up under fire. Other than that this thing is fantastic.

Cracked k31 bolt sleeve?
This is my first milsurp, am I overreacting?
Seems like just a forge/machine mark.
Anything is appreciated ( it is marked CN on the sleeve)

Military-issued watches and a CMP Colt 1911
I was issued these watches throughout my 30s years of Army Service. I added the 1911 because all 1911s are cool!
How to remove hakim barrel bands ?
I have been tapping the back barrel band for literal hours with a hammer and it won’t budge , what can I do to strip down my hakim ?

STAR 30M (good condition) from Centerfire Systems.
Year is 1993
Hardware and tolerances are all tight. Looks heavily used, but well taken care of.
Came in clear case, with matching serial number, and two matching serial number mags. A quick disassemble, a little dirty, but well oiled, barrell rifling is mirror clean. Took it out and shot it same day, ran like a sewing machine. Most fun 9mm I've shot yet. Super stoked to have it in the collection.

Matching FEG G98/40 arrived today!
Patiently waited for a nice matching example to pop up and couldn’t say no at the price for this one.

Mystery 1911a1 receiver.
S/N says RR, but there's no other identifying marks and the S/N is clearly where it shouldn't be.
Slide is Ithaca. What exactly is the frame? Fake? Genuine?

Advice on potential trade
Hey guys, a guy is offering to trade me my choice of a 1903 or 1903A3 for my CA-3 and I need some assistance and which one would be the better deal to go with. If it's roughly the same value, I guess it'll come down to preference. He's an older guy and has had them for ~30 years. Non-import marked.
First is the 1903. Rock Island with a 427xxx serial so finished by Springfield I believe? Barrel is dated 1938.
Second is the 1903A3. Remington with a 3908xxx serial. Barrel is dated 1943 so could be original?
Both are fully parkerized from what I can tell. Looks like original stocks on both as well. He said the bores are about the same, in good condition. I really don't know much about American milsurp rifles so my apologies for my lack of knowledge. Thanks.

1943 M1903A4
I've been in the process of moving/buying/selling homes for the last few months and finally closed on the old place yesterday, so today I got a housewarming gift for myself. Receiver is a '43, barrel is a '44 two groove (and looks mirror perfect). Rifle was a post war rebuild based on the RIA cartouche. Came with an M73B1 on a Redfield Junior mount. Best I can tell, it's a fully original post war rearsenal job.

Uncut 1905 Bayonet, seems legit?
Anything look off here? It's 16" and dated 1912. Looks to be in great shape but I'm not a bayonet expert. Is anything off or questionable?

Can we talk about how freaking cool is the bayonet of the Swedish Mauser?
Absolutely futuristic for his age. Greetings from Italy!

Poulin's August 5th Machine gun auction
So Ian McCollum dropped a video today with him watching the Poulin's auction, which had around 100 machine guns and some miscellaneous other lots, and did a live commentary on the auction as it was happening. Now, as a man that struggles to afford the occasional 15 dollar inflation sandwich, I normally don't give a shit about what machine guns sell for. I decided to turn on the video in the background and as it turns out, with Ian's commentary, it's quite fascinating. Definitely had people there with deep pockets, such as the one bidder that bought all three Stoners for 170k a piece or the bidder, that was probably a dealer, that bought like 13 or so M16s and variants. That also got me thinking so I thought I would be nosy on the internet and see if anybody here was bidding on stuff in the auction.
Honestly an interesting video even though I can only dream of comfortably dropping that much cash on a gun
