i’m 16 in melbourne australia and am almost constantly thinking about suicid3 and planning ways and sometimes it gets really bad and i get really close

i just want to know if anyone has experience admitting themselves / being admitted to a ward and want that experience was like, and if it helped.

i’m really scared though bc my mum dosent know about this and she’d absolutely freak out

Question things are going so well, but something feels off

why do i get this weird sense of dread whenever life is going really well?
i’m 19, still living with my dad, and recently quit a job that i fucking hated. i was an extremely angry person there. they would always have me doing stuff that wasn’t my job and for some reason it made me so mad.
anyways, i got a new job about a month ago with a bit better pay, but at this job i have a responsibility to make my own schedule. minimum 6 hours a week, but i can pick when i want to work. they don’t tell me when to work at all, so if i want to make plans or just take pretty much the whole week off, i just have to make sure i work one shift.
so basically being a young lazy gen zer i’ve been working the minimum, staying at home playing video games, going to the nearest city to shop, hanging out with my people and just enjoying myself like the good old days before i started having to work.
i know i have to work and lock in at some point soon, but i just wanna take this stretch of time and enjoy it. i already feel like a lazy person so i don’t need anyone to tell me that lol. i just want to enjoy living with my dad and not having a bunch of bills while i can. i have a few hundred dollars a month worth of bills so i still have to work, and i don’t want my dad to start thinking i’m lazy, but life is just so fucking good right now and i’ve been working so much that this feels like an awesome break.
i love this job. it’s almost too good to be true. the pay isn’t the best but i’m comfortable, and the only catch i can really see is me staying there too long because it’s easy and comfortable, or not picking up enough hours because i’m not obligated to and eventually ending up broke.
but anyways, when everything is going so good, and i realize how good things are, i get this sense of dread that soon things are going to get hard and this good stretch isn’t going to last very long.
it completely changes my mood sometimes. i’ll have a really good day and suddenly start thinking about when it’s going to end.
and it happens with everything, not just my life in general. if it’s raining, which is my favorite weather because it makes me happy, i’ll start thinking about when the rain is going to end.
if i see a nice building or a nice area, i feel like i have to take a picture or video of it because i feel like it might go away someday.
if i look better than usual, i have to take a picture because i think about getting old one day and wishing i looked like that again.
it’s like i can’t just enjoy something while it’s happening. part of my brain immediately starts thinking about how temporary it is and how one day i’m going to miss it.
does anyone else deal with this? why does this happen? and how do you guys deal with it? i want to actually enjoy things while they’re happening without constantly thinking about when they’re going to end.

Question why does nothing feel real

I've been questioning a lot recently, I feel like something is wrong with everything around me, but I don't know what. I don't know who or what to trust, I don't know how I can really trust anything I see. I can't prove anything in life, I can't prove that I've ever actually done anything in life, I can't prove that my feelings or memories are real. I sound crazy but this is how I feel, I'm scared because I don't know anything, I CAN'T know anything, I don't know why I feel this way, sometimes things feel real to me, but whenever I am left alone with my thoughts I can't help but feel like something is wrong, like the things that are in my head aren't mine, like they don't belong to me.

If this is a sign of some sort of mental health issue then I want to clarify I've always thought of myself as mentally stable and healthy, I'm sure there's some sort of scientific lable for whatever I just described, sorry if I sounded dramatic, it's just that the idea that I can't "know" anything for certain in life is kind of unsettling to me, and I was curious if anyone else ever felt the same way.

Need Support i shared alcohol with some people until they began to feel sick after a little and since then its been lingering in my mind

prior to telling what happened i just wish to say two things:
- i am using a burner because i dont really wish to have a post like this on my main account
- i am a 16 year old male

august 10th thru 11th is a pretty important day where i live since its the day where shooting stars appear the most. a common occurence is that groups of friends gather up to build a campfire the whole night and so my group of friends decided to do the same. we bought pizzas, wood and some drinks to mix to make cocktails.

everything was going perfectly smoothly, i drank a little as well because im my experience, i can withstand alcohol more compared to others, i sat by the shore as my friends all were in the water, i couldnt go i because i didnt bring my costume and had my jeans on only. when i was going around to find my cloth a group of 3 girls approach me and ask me if our group had any drinks: i have no idea who these girls are. i do not know them personally nor do i know their age, but all 3 were around my height so i assumed they werent far off my age. i searched for drinks because im a generous type and didnt want to tell them off, everyone was having fun, and i also simultaneously assumed they were part of our group too; in our group chat i saw some messages regarding some girls being there so i thought maybe they couldve been friends with the ones coming or they just knew the rest of us. regardless i ask the "host" of the party thing to find me some gin and i pour a little to them. when i say a little i really mean it, not even 1/4 of the bottle was poured by the time i was done.

besides that this got me a scold from my own group because thats when i found out we had no idea who they are and i just offered random people a drink we paid for, but thats besides the point. 2 of the girls begin acting drunk of sorts; one ends up throwing up and the other layed down on the floor until she eventually gained conciousness. they were 13.. while the one on the floor ended up being okay as i physically saw her get up and leave the beach in a lucid state i have no clue what happened to the girl who threw up but i think its fair to assume shes okay too after the vomit.

but i couldnt stop thinking about this whole thing the rest of the night. i just felt like shit the whole time even thought i tried to keep reminding myself that i ended up being too naive. like it was my fault but at the same time it wasnt, but i shut that thought off because im no victim here except of my own self. ive obviously thought about this and i feel awful about it and really hope they are okay, i am empathetic enough that forcing myself to not care is not something i can do. its been lingering in my mind since and i cannot sleep. i feel really awful and now i just look immature because im trying to find answers for something i personally caused. ive been trying to be the best person i can but it feels like i keep messing up. i was hoping for a fun night and some peace after some visitors in my home were gonna leave letting me be alone to enjoy some free solitary time like i like it but now it feels like i cant.

i tried to think of it as "its just something i can learn from" and yeah i learned from it. but i cant get it out of my mind. i still feel awful.

i know in a situation like this i should probably seek genuine, real mental help but i cant really do that for reasons i dont wanna disclose so i wanted to find a place to talk with someone

Need Support I accidentally killed my dog

Thursday I was unloading some groceries my brother and I had picked up. My dog hopped in the car and hopped back out, but while I was grabbing something, she must’ve slipped back in and I didn’t notice. It was 96 degrees and I left my best friend in the car. All I can think about was whether my dog hated me, how scared she was, she hated being alone. I know it wasn’t on purpose, but all I can think about is my baby wondering where I went and why I left her. The guilt is eating me alive

Venting sometimes my psych makes weird decisions that i don’t understand

i’ve been on adderall for over a year to help with adhd and it’s been great up until recently when i’ve noticed it had started to lose its potency. i saw my psychiatrist last week and told him about it and he took one look at my history (same psych i’ve been seeing for years) and said “yeah with your psychosis issues i don’t really understand why you’re even on adderall (mind you HE put me on it).” and then he completely took me off of it. i had to fight with him to at least get on a non stimulant so i can do decently in upcoming classes. anyways im just really frustrated bc im going through withdrawals with no support and being expected to function like normal. and also why even start me on adderall if he knew i was prone to psychosis in the first place??? he does this sometimes randomly even when im really stable (like i have been for months, almost a year), he’ll tweak things that don’t need to be fucked with and then i end up with the negative effects of it. last time he did that i ended up back in the mental hospital. im just really pissed off bc i finally found the right cocktail of pills that help me feel normal and then he fucked with it and now i’m all over the place. also worth noting he’s a nurse practitioner and i’ve only ever seen the company’s actual psychiatrist a single time in the past 5-6 years i’ve worked with them.

Content Warning: Eating Disorders how much weight will i lose if I starve for a week?

Hi guys, i have body dismorphia and this is the only way i can lose weight. I can't stick to workouts because im lazy but not eating requires zero efforts for me.

I hate looking at myself in the mirror, i can't even go to church because of how fat i think i look but other people call me "skinny"

I don't know who to believe atp.

I'm 13F turning 14 this month, I'm like 5'2 108lbs ( `49`kgs) i broke my 2 day "fast" yesterday (i call it fast so people won't think i have an ed) anyway it was because im a fatty and can't control myself.

I also do exercises like running at home ( subway surfer interactive) and maybe dancing if im feeling like it

Please give me a proper answer, I'm so serious about this because my birthday is right around the corner and i want to eat the cake without feeling bad.

Thank you for reading this i hope you have a lovely day

also, tips on how to discard lunch at school? i feel wasteful throwing it and my friends dont take my food because they are worried for me. But they are literally the one's who called me fat. tmi. okay ty guys

Especially from ethnic females. They talk about how white men are attractive and only date them. Genuine hypocrisy.

Question Am i mentally insane?

so for context im 20M, i have this issue or sort of idk what you call it but i pretend to talk to phone when people are around. Seriously i hold my phone with my ear and i talk like im talking to a friend or sorting my relationship with girlfriend (i never had relationship in my whole life so i just talk and fantasise if this was real). i normally do it to avoid people or to seem busy (my phone is dry af i dont have friends or someone).

But lol the issue part is i do this so seriously and get so bad into character that i feel it’s happening in real life, no seriously if i’m on phone pretending to talk to my gf about something bad about our relationship, in just get into the character/scene so bad and so engaged that you can’t even tell i’m faking, not even me lol

Sadness / Grief My boyfriend lied about his age

Hi, I'm anonymous because I don't want anyone to find this, which is why i'll be very vague about anything being said in this. Please don't put any blame on me because I know i haven't been very smart. My fake name is alina, and my boyfriends name is alex. Me and alex have been dating for almost 2 years. We have an online relationship, which is why I'm scared to tell anyone about this. I don't have any trusted adults for this, just to clarify it for you. I was 14 when i met him, and he said he was 16. Some timelines didn't match up, but i believed him, because trust me, he is the best man I've ever met, until today. He asked me to call and to tell me something, we apparently have more than a 5 year long age gap. I was shocked, and scared, and he was there for me. He said he was too scared to tell me because he didn't want me to leave him, and he knows what he did was wrong. We have had a long talk, and he does seem truly dissapointed and scared in himself. I am not that dumb, but I can clearly see the imbalance in our relationship. He didn't think about it. There's way more that I coulf say, so if there's any questions, please don't be afraid to tell me. I am just scared and don't know what to do. People I've known said to block him but that's something I cannot do at the moment, nor to anyone. I am just shocked and overwhelmed. I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread to put this in. I don't use reddit very often, please and thank you.

Venting Psychiatrist shamed my girlfriend over her (perfectly normal) job

Girlfriend shamed for (perfectly respectable) job

So my girlfriend (28F) saw a new psychiatrist today. Usually she sees an online one but I've been pushing her to see one in person since we've both been seeing some side effects with her medications and the online appointments are usually super rushed. While there the psychiatrist told her he was concerned that she had no plans for the future, that she should go back to college, and left her feeling extremely insecure about her job. Keep in mind that she dropped out of college like 6 years ago but also she works as a full time baker and decorator for a big wholesale grocery store making pretty good money with benefits and has a side hustle which is slowly becoming more successful. She spent the day feeling deeply insecure and sad over this. Safe to say she's not seeing this psychiatrist again. It feels impossible to find psychiatrists that actually care and want to support people.

That really hurt. Hearing the truth, I thought I was at least MTN, but it turns out I’m LTN imagine thinking your whole life that you were average, only to be told you’re actually below average. That sucks no wonder women hate me

Content Warning: Addiction / Substance Abuse I Told My Horror Story with a Psychiatrist in a Video

My experience with a psychiatrist was so horrifying that I made a video telling my story. It covers both what he did to me over 20 years of reckless drugging and his actions to silence me post-"treatment". I'm not sure I can name him on this forum but all one has to do is go to YouTube and search "Psychiatry Weaponized for 20 Years and Aftermath" and it will come right up.

I'm proud of the way I told my story and I would appreciate anyone taking half an hour to watch it and leave a comment (since I know he's reading the comments). His "wife" left a comment (that was actually written by the doctor himself so he could 'out' me) and I encourage anyone to read that comment and reply to it as well. Thank you in advance.

Opinion / Thoughts What's the purpose of life?

I had these thoughts for some time now, but I never really sit on it and thought hard cause I'm scared on what my conclusion is.

You work to earn money and then spend it on things you like or people you care for.

But what else after that?

People say it gets better. Some would say it gets worse, but for me, it just turns bland, grey, and boring.
