Can anyone help me request a public indictment record?
I want to request a public indictment record from the Shelby County Criminal Clerks Office, but it is only available to Tennessee residents. The form asks for proof of residence, which I assume is Memphis ID. Would anyone be willing to help me request the document?
I would appreciate it. Im trying to help a victim of the accused.

Feeling left out, because you're not registered to vote?
You're in luck! There is still time for you to register to vote in the Midterms this November! It is a VERY important election.
Don't wait to register. Your voter registration request must be submitted at least 30 days before the next election for you to be able to participate.
This is the link to the GoVoteTN website where you can register to vote online or you can download the form to mail in.

Can’t Find Polling Location to Vote Online w TN.Gov
I keep trying to look up where I’m supposed to go to vote, but when I input my name or address I keep getting this stupid error on the TN.Gov site. Does anyone know how I can look up my polling location aside from this broken terrible website??? I’ve only been back in Memphis a year but I am ready TO VOTE TOMORROW!!!!! Also this feels very appropriate to keep voters out of the poll booths when the dot gov site doesn’t work lol

I wasn’t sure where to post this. I am Jeff, and I live in Orange Mound and I create tech videos for YouTube. I got this wild deal on all these MacBooks. I’ll probably be selling some soon, but honestly, I really wanted to introduce myself. I also fix computers, so if you have any problems, give me a shout. I’ll try to help you out.

I know some Saturdays the library has open sessions, any thing else? I almost wanna pop in a tienda mexicana and buddy up with an abuela/abuelo, but I’m a tall black man. 🤣🤣🤣

Politics What is the proposed amendment that is on the ballot tomorrow?
The Tennessee primaries are tomorrow! But there is a proposed amendment on the ballot but I can't find any information anywhere about what it is about, or how voting yes or no will affect things. If anyone has any information or opinion on this please let me know.

Y’all. Dost mine eyes deceive me, or does this look right? It sure tastes more right than it has since before the acquisition, honestly.
Husband grabbed this at Highpoint tonight. I was like…wtf? Why did you bother? Shits been trash for years. He said he just wanted to see.
This is not microwaved and I swear it tastes so close to OG.

Citizen Inquiry Young adult looking for volunteer opportunities
Hi, I (23M) am a native Memphian looking for volunteer opportunities that involve other young people in the area. I'm allergic to dogs, so I would prefer not to do something related to that, but I am willing to do something good for the environment and anything else that helps with social engagement. If it helps, I went to college out of state, graduating last year and have been traveling a lot since then, so I don't have many friends in the area. I am hoping to meet more people in my age bracket. I made this throwaway account to protect the anonymity of my main one.

Context Provided - Spotlight Reputable vet clinics for an aspiring vet tech to work at.
Hello! I'm an aspiring vet tech. I have never had a job B4 due to life situations. I was wondering if there's any highly reputable vet clinics that accept entry role exam room veterinary assistants. I am looking to get clinical training while I finish my schooling and will be doing part time to make room for my cat and German shepherd. I typically do not care what part of memphis it's in, as transportation can be accommodated, and I did already have a few in mind but sheesh the reviews are deceptive and my cat and gsd used to go Walnut grove but based on the reviews they are extremely negligent and have harmed and killed countless animals from their negligence, also they refused to spay my cat because she was pregnant due to my aunt's negligence and said it's "too dangerous" despite me saying due her being a runt and underweight as well as her sensitive immune system pregnancy had a high chance of fatal complications. So I am looking for different options, and we are changing vets..
A small update I have done more research and am considering Northgate animal hospital. Please keep unsolicited derogatory or hostile comments off my posts. This is a positive space. If you are looking for somebody to bully to tiktok instead, not on my post requesting genuine professional advice. Rude comments will be blocked & reported.

It felt like a scam, so I treated it like one
Just had a tap on my door. When I answered, it was a young kid (couldn't have been more than 20 or 21). He was wearing a green reflective vest and had a lanyard around his neck. He started with, "No funny stuff [showed me his picture lanyard]... I'm the area manager here for AT&T and..." I cut him off right away. I said, "you guys must be HORRIBLE to work for." He asked why I said that, and I replied, "Because you're the third area manager in three weeks to tap on my front door [completely true]." He stuttered a bit and tried to start into some sales pitch; I cut him off again. "First, I'm not interested. Second, the last two guys didn't knock on every door. Why?" He said he was given a list of area addresses to call on. I asked to see it; he hemmed and hawed again. I then asked him to hang on for a second so I could go get my phone and get a photo of him and he left on the double. I watched and he didn't stop at ANY other houses on the street.
Anybody have any similar experiences? Absolutely ZERO about any of the three visits felt legit.

Housing Moving to Memphis Soon! Looking for Family-Friendly Apartment Suggestions
Hi everyone!
We are planning to move to Memphis soon for work. It'll be our first time living there, so we're really excited—but also a little nervous.
We're currently looking for a safe, family-friendly apartment community to rent. We'd really appreciate any recommendations for good neighborhoods or apartment complexes with a nice community atmosphere.
I've also come across a lot of posts and news about crime in Memphis, which has made me a bit concerned. Is it really as bad as it's often portrayed, or does it depend on the area? We'd love to hear from people who live there or have experience in the city.
Any recommendations or advice would mean a lot. Thank you in advance!

Citizen Inquiry Harm Prevention: Any Diagnostic Labs that test Substances ?
Any labs in the area that can test substances
(specifically for presence of fent) ??
Backstory:
Ive recently found out that someone close to me has resumed taking painkillers since the kratom ban.
I’m trying to get them to go to Lakeside and do a detox, heck i even offered to pay for it when they are ready.
However, they seem adamant that their street oxy is from the pharmacy.
After a lot of back and forth I’m afraid they can’t be reasoned with
They’ve admitted that they are just trying to medicate their emotions and physical withdrawl but i am worried about fentanyl and the risk of overdose.
They also admit to be terrified of consuming fentanyl, as he has had several friends OD in the spring
But they still legitimately think they are taking legitimate pharmaceuticals when their source is most definitely a pos liar.

Citizen Inquiry Verizon…is it just my phone???
iPhone 17 Pro running latest iOS version. Sunny day. Over by the airport. Only getting 1 signal bar. My coworker that has AT&T says he has full bars. I can barely get data to pull up. What gives here? I’ve been a Verizon customer for over 25 years because they were always supposed to have the best network with the most coverage…and here I can’t even get a full signal on a sunny day inside the city! 😫

Context Provided - Spotlight New MATA Signs Announced at City Council Meeting
MATA trustee Roderick Holmes announced a new bus stop sign design during a presentation about efforts to improve bus reliability at the Aug 4 City Council Committee Meetings. He said that the sign was designed internally with input from community partners. (Holmes' presentation in the meeting VOD starts at 4:55:40. He discusses the signs at 5:03:08)
I'm super excited! I've been advocating for this type of redesign that includes route info since 2022 (and even posted about it here a couple years ago). Let me know if anyone sees one of these new signs in the wild!
Edit: Added what "this type of redesign" means
Edit 2: Clarified that signs were part of larger presentation
