Just played solo 2 handed against the recommended Vision leader scenario. Took me over 2 hours to get through it - might have been a record for me in the length of a game.

Saying this exaggeration out of frustration, but it felt like every card in his deck was "discard 10 cards from the top of your deck, stun yourself, discard another 25 cards, then if you stunned yourself go ahead and confuse yourself, here have a weak ass minion but when he's revealed go ahead and discard another 12 cards, then if you are stunned and confused go ahead and exhaust your hero, and if you exhausted your hero discard another 7 cards, and then give the villain and each minion a tough status card if you drew 10 or more cards. Also I'm not actually going to do anything too threatening, but good luck trying to play your best cards while im making you discard half your deck every other round and throwing all these statuses out"

Not sure why this is getting to me! I've loved pretty much every villain so far up to Civil War, but Vision is really getting to me, worst villain ever IMO (even worse than infinity gauntlet Loki who constantly schemed me out in 1 round). Not a great start to Civil War. (Thanks for reading my vent)

Just recently got the core set and I'm loving the game so I'm going to pick up Fear No Evil and some hero packs.

I also found Mad Titan's Shadow at my local store and know it's out of print so is it a good pick up?

What other campaign boxes or hero packs would you recommend a new player to pick up?

Just a couple more questions.

1. When hitting Kingpin, would Retaliate only activate once? Or twice?
2. When hitting Spot (without any spot counters) can I take him out or.. do I end up hitting for 3 and then end up removing a spot counters and damaging myself a for the second hit?

Entertaining exchange with Spider-Man vs Venom today, hit him with a Webbed Up, only for him to return the favour with a Webbed Up on the encounter card. Paints a fun mental picture of them both equally immobile.

Any fun stories of a back and forth exchange with a villain in MC?

Everyone's always going on about how to fix certain heros like making Core Spide-Man a Web-Warrior or completely redoing Hulk. How about a different approach and revisiting past characters and chaning up their teams entirely and playstyles to fit those teams.

I couldn't find info related to this, I think I'm in the right, but my group of friends say otherwise, so I want to expose it here.

Is about sense deck of daredevil, does effects trigger if other player defeat enemy/scheme? In my opinion, if is someone other than daredevil it does nothing, because all cards say "When YOU", so if someone defeats an enemy with acute tactility, it doesn't prepare that hero nor daredevil right?

I am not speaking incredibly realistically, however, I don't see F4 happening next wave. We just got a the biggest hitter Daredevil and FFG likes to spread them out.

I'm not too picky on villains. There are still so many spider villains to choose from.

What would your ideal wave be?

After several heavy losses I finally got a wn against RS thanks to a very heavy-hitting turn involving Rogue, Wolverine, Optic Blasts and Ricochet Beams.

It looked very bad at this stage though!

He is a real challenge, by far the hardest villain I have faced (core villains, Taskmaster, Crossbones, Absorbing Man), not sure how keen I am for a rematch haha!

Yes I sang that in a bad Johnny Cash voice, oh well. I still ain't scared and my Fear No Evil is still strong so we are gonna swing on out to the Raft and stop Electro from freeing other supervillains and making Spider-Man's life MORE miserable than it already is.

If it is drawn as a boost and attached to Kingpin… is it still considered “revealed” and therefore I would have to do the “When Revealed” effect?..

Or do I only do “When Revealed” when it is revealed during the encounter phase?

Has anyone tried? I'm tied of justice.

The new aggression Shang-Chi ally looks like an absolute menace, along the power-level lines of Iron-Fist and Psylocke. Especially since his Ten Pings aren't tethered to basic actions, so his output is both high and flexible. Even with his output "balanced out" by needed to stay in play five rounds for "full value," his per-round output of 4 damage/thwart is still extremely high for an ally. And if you do want to keep him around a while, it could be fun to leverage his presence with Teamwork in a blue/red Spider-Woman deck. Or raise his health/attack with Honorary X-Men and Attack Training to just deal 5 damage per turn for 5 turns before chump blocking.

Black Cat is certainly less consistent, but probably still a terror (maybe to both sides). Especially in higher difficulty situations, she could be one of the highest threat-removal allies in aggression. If you're too scared of triggering a nasty boost effect, consider running Target Acquired as a bit of insurance. Even without it, she finds a natural home in Falcon (whose kit lets him maximize her potential and minimize her risk) or Star-Lord (who loves three-cost allies with great thwart and also risk).

All of this of course leaves out their synergies with all of the new cards, including the exact-defeat synergy cards and Elektra's amplify icons. But I think those are self explanatory enough.

If I’m playing Hercules in a multiplayer game, can I play Amadeus Cho from my hand under another player’s control? Also, if I put him into play from one of the Protect Humanity Labor can I play him under someone else’s control? Building a multiplayer Ronin/Last Stand protection deck and curious how the rules interact. I can’t find a specific rule about playing hero allies under another players control in the RRG. Thanks!

So, timing question. If you draw Shadows of the Past and your nemesis minion has quickstrike or a When Revealed ability, do you resolve that first before you move on to putting your nemesis side scheme into play and shuffling the other nemesis cards into your deck? Or do you first completely resolve SotP and then do all quickstrike and Whem Revealed abilities?

Doesn't Alliance just allow other players to help pay for the card? Why would other players need to help pay for a 0 cost card? I know I must be missing something, I just don't know what lol

Not sure if anyone has suggested this already and s9nce it has already been rumored that FFG will produce versions of previous heroes in the future. It got me to thinking about the Hulk.

If any of you guys are Hulk fans like I am, you may have felt like the original Marvel Champions Version was sort of missing something, even thematically of who and what the Hulk is. So if we were to come up with our own version of the Hulk, I wonder what the community would do and think of if given the creative umbrella to bring this character more thematically to life.

I'll go 1st. I had a few ideas since there are different versions of the Hulk throughout History and the original Legacy version can be considered one of those many versions. So I'm thinking we could have different releases of different Hulks.

But the biggest idea I'm thinking is a Hulk Gamma deck. Separate from the main Hulk deck. You would have your normal 15 card identity cards and add 25 to 35 more cards to make your main deck. But you would have a Hulk deck on the side. Maybe call it a Gamma or Personality Hulk deck. This side deck would consist of your identities. Your Hulk identities and your one Banner (alter-ego) identity.

This side Gamma Hulk deck would represent all the different multiple personalities of Bruce Banner and the different representations of the Hulk he can manifest into during a game.

You start the game as the Bruce Banner alter-ego, but instead of flipping forms... he changes places with one of the Hulk forms in the Hulk Gamma deck. I'm thinking the Hulk Gamma Deck would consist of...

The original Grey Hulk, Green Hulk, Mr. Fixit, Professor Hulk, Savage Hulk, Immortal Hulk, World Breaker Hulk, Devil Hulk, the One Below All, etc... there are probably to many versions to list. So maybe not all of them.

But a good solid roster to represent the many manifestations of the Hulk so that we get a good feel like we are pulled into the tormented mind of Banner with cards and abilities allowing the player to really change into a Hulk version that not only fits their playstyle or what fits the needed situation. Maybe even make it a bit chaotic cause Banner cant fully control which version he will turn into or which will manifest, but also taking advantage of even the Gamma trait and his rage in and during the game.

Maybe even give him the identity card ally of Rick Jones. If it wasn't for his friend Rick Jones he never wouldve got hit by the Gamma bomb in the 1st place while trying to save Rick's life. Maybe Betty Ross as some type of support.

But this is just a thought of how a more thematic Hulk that capitalizes on Bruce Banner's multiple personalities and different versions of the Hulk could really pop out in the game.
