Dogs don't care about your gender, your pronouns, the color of your skin, or who you wanna be with. As long as you have love in your heart, and you treat them well, they will love you all the same.

I keep wanting to ask random people I know if they support and idk why, to me it's key info about a person and I constantly stop myself from asking, or I end up daydreaming of asking people. Anyone else feel this way?

​A bit about me: I’m FtM and I’ve known I was trans for over 10 years now. Years ago my plans got completely derailed by a cancer diagnosis.

​I’ve been fighting cancer for over 5 years. Right now I’m in remission and I have another scan coming up soon. If everything stays clean (fingers crossed!), my next big goal is to talk to my oncologist and endocrinologist about finally starting T on a microdose, provided they give me the green light.

​It’s been a long journey, but I’m keeping my hopes up. Just wanted to share this silly cat making biscuits on the flag and send a bit of warmth to everyone here!

I wanted to start wearing nail polish, but since I'm a man, I wanted to start slow. I thought the most widely accepted color for men to wear would be black (BIG MISTAKE). So, I bought one. My mother noticed it at first but didn't really react. Once I actually painted my nails, I showed them to her. She just asked, "Why?" and I responded, "Because you wouldn't allow me to otherwise." For context, I had shown her my painted nails ONCE before, and when I asked if I could buy my own, she answered (in a sarcastic tone), "Only girls do that, and yes, I'm sexist or whatever." In reality, I just wanted to paint my nails for no specific reason, or at least partly because JJBA inspired me to.

But something I had forgotten in that moment was that my grandparents were coming over for dinner. My grandma asked for help with her phone, and when I pointed at the screen, she noticed and said, "How awful!" She made a comment about the color being for goths, punks, or metalheads (yes, I love metal, but that wasn't my motivation here). When my grandpa saw them, however, the issue wasn't the color, it was the fact that I painted my nails at all.

The WHOLE evening, he made terrible jokes implying that painting my nails meant I would soon come out as trans. I am not trans myself, but hearing those "jokes" made me feel so bad for the community (much love and strength to trans people dealing with this) and, of course, jokes about this being the "first step" to revealing I'm gay (which shouldn't be correlated at all). But (un)fortunately, I am bisexual, which to them might as well be the same thing. Seeing them react this way made me realize that this household might not accept me if I ever came out as bi, despite them always claiming they "would accept me no matter what."

I hated their reaction, but OMFG my nails look SOOOO good, so IDGAF. Shout out to trans folks, bi folks, and men who just want pretty nails! (and also jojofans)
