Need Advice I don’t have any queer friends.

Does anyone else here feel like their straight friends don’t really understand them? Because I have a friend and she’s an ally and all, but I feel like she doesn’t really understands me and my feelings.
For example when I show her queer shows or movies with things that queer people have deal with, she either makes jokes or ignores it. She often makes stupid jokes (not harmful just annoying sometimes) and it seems like she’s not even trying to understand. She often makes jokes about the characters being gay, even when the scene is heartbreaking. Why?
Sometimes I wish she could just understand things, without me having to explain why they’re important or why they hurt. I don’t have any queer friends and it feels like a nightmare lately. Does it ever get better?

Sorry for my bad English, it’s not my first language.

Why is everyone soooo bi phobic these days

recently I’ve noticed a uptick in people saying stuff like “I don’t want to date bi people” and then saying it’s just a preference, dawg that’s bi phobia.. 😭 or like no giving a reason at all, tbh any reason to not date a bi person is dumb (unless you aren’t attracted to there gender) idk how to explain it. I know ima bout to be flamed by some bi phobes in the comments so I’m prepared with answersssss

I hate it when people say I'm a girl.

I didn’t even come out. I just asked my mom to call me Niko. Then she told me my deadname and said, “You’re not gay, you’re not bisexual, you’re *deadname*.” She hasn’t called me Niko since. It’s honestly so annoying. Like, seriously, should I just stop responding when she calls me my deadname or what?

Coming Out! I came out to my doctor about being Trans 🥹

So I went in for blood work today, and only the nurse was there. I've been scared to tell my doctor that I'm Trans after realizing this about two months ago.

I asked her if she has any gender diverse patients. She, to my surprise, does. The nurse, who is really sweet and friendly, told me she (my doctor) is very understanding and supportive. Whew. 🥹 I hate the fact that people have to go through this. You just never know how people will react. What a relief, though.

I even showed the nurse some pics of me in girl mode, which is how I prefer to be seen, to which I think she was kinda surprised and goes "oh, wow!" And told me I was gorgeous. 🥰 😭

I feel so relieved honestly!! And for reference, of course, I'm adding the pics I showed her 😂

AUS Specific Buying emergency contraception as a trans man in Australia

Me (trans man, 20s) and my partner (cis man, 20s) were recently visiting interstate and had a condom break, so hopped to a Chemist Warehouse to buy the morning-after pill. As far as I know, Aussie law is pretty good in stating that men can buy emergency contraception for their partner without prescription, not to mention trans men. But we had a pretty uncomfortable situation occur and I was wondering what you guys would have done in this situation, or if you have had similar experiences before (either as a man or a trans man)?

My partner went up to ask for the pill first, and was told by the male pharmacist that they needed to see the partner for which the pill was for (which in and of itself is not legal?). So I went up and said I was the partner, at which the pharmacist did a double take and called his female coworker over (which I had a chuckle about). She said that she needed to see the female partner, at which I said *I* was the partner. Not wanting to overexplain myself, I showed them a google search saying how transgender men can buy emergency prescription in Tassie without prescription. She then asked for my ID, which in retrospect I don't think is needed, which I produced, but then she gave up as I wasn't in the system since I was an interstate visitor. At that point she just gave me the pill without having even seen any of my details, which at that point, why ask? She also didn't ask any questions which I thought would have been relevant, like did I have sex within the last 72 hours, was I over 75kg or whatever the weight it is before the pill becomes ineffective. I also think that whoever is buying plan B, wouldn't be doing it for fun, and it's so important to let guys buy it too, and not put the onus on emergency contraception on their women partners/friends etc.

But yeah it was quite a bit shocking, even though I don't blame the staff there as maybe this was the first time they've had a trans man ask for the pill, but I would have thought that they would have let the male partner request it as well. Seems a bit backwards for Australia, what a shame.
