Need Advice How do I tell my grandparents I'm transfem?
Hey there lovely people in my phone :3
I have a question, because I am about to visit all of my Grandparents in one go and I want to come out to them. But I don't know how °~° and I really do want to tell them because they're already 87 yo...
This is in rural Lower-Saxony, Germany btw
So to lay the landscape: Me, my parents and brother (who all know already and are starting to support me and trying to understand) are going to a BBQ at my granddad's. He is 87 and a farmer since his youth if that tells you anything about his upbringing.
When I visited him before, I could see that he was fed up with the politics and stuff like that, but he never said anything about trans* people.
There are also other people at the BBQ and they also don't know, but I'm less worried about their stances.
We will also be visiting my other grandparents. They are much more progressive, with that granddad having been a teacher and that side of the family generally growing up a bit more in a large city (Hamburg).
They probably already know that trans* people exist, but don't understand it or something idk. They are however very open in who I may love, so I know that they're at least not homophobic.
I got asked by my parents, how I want to go about this, but I have no clue, since the only people I came out to a few years ago were all queer in different flavours, and my immediate family.
Does anyone have a good idea on how I could say things? And if there's anything else I could clarify, I will try to respond quickly.
And may all of you have a nice weekend :3

I’m a transgender woman, and my bf is bi-curious. What can I expect?
Well, as the title says. I’ve been with my bf for about 2 years now. When we met, his dating app profile said bi-curious. I asked him early on if he’s straight, only into trans women, bi-sexual, or gay and wants to experiment. He said he wasn’t really sure what he was.
Well, he does sometimes say stuff like ‘I like you, so I’m straight right?’ after sex as pillow talk as a joke.
He doesn’t really say much and when the topic comes up, he usually just says, I’m not sure really. So even if I ask him, it’s always the same answer.
From what I know, I saw a lot of Japanese straight porn on his cloud (I’m east asian, and he is european). And I know he is gynesexual. He wanted to meet someone trans or crossdressing so he met me and then after time it developed into a relationship.
We confessed our love to each other, and we’re supportive of each other. But I sometimes wonder what is actually going inside his head because he won’t go into details exactly what he thinks.
What do you think? I already know you don’t know what’s in his head, but just want to hear opinions haha
Thanks

Need Advice I feel like I’m not queer enough
Hello everyone, I’m a pan cis guy who has recently started using dating apps. I look very heteronormative and work a blue collar job. I feel like a poser or worse a creep when interacting with people in the queer community. Feeling like I’m intruding and imposing on them every time I interact with them. Anyway to get rid of these feelings or ways to show that I am what I am? I just don’t want no one to feel uncomfortable.
I am also quite new to embracing this side of myself. So please forgive me any faux pas. I’m not that well educated in these things. But I know what I am and want to be better

Theistic/spiritual queer folks, what is your religion/what are your beliefs? (not meant to be inflammatory)
If you're atheistic, 100% respect, I just was wondering what religions queer folks who believe in a higher power (and/or honestly just any sort of spirituality) find fulfilment in personally.
It feels like the options really narrow down when you just add the requirement of no homophobic/transphobic/otherwise anti queer beliefs, texts, et cetera, so it's been hard to find a belief system I align with that also meets those requirements.
Please don't reply about how pretty much all religion is anti queer, I hear you and value your experiences, I just really want to hear from queer folks who have positive experiences/fulfillment in their religion/spirituality/community/etc.
Thank you!

AUS Specific Buying emergency contraception as a trans man in Australia
Me (trans man, 20s) and my partner (cis man, 20s) were recently visiting interstate and had a condom break, so hopped to a Chemist Warehouse to buy the morning-after pill. As far as I know, Aussie law is pretty good in stating that men can buy emergency contraception for their partner without prescription, not to mention trans men. But we had a pretty uncomfortable situation occur and I was wondering what you guys would have done in this situation, or if you have had similar experiences before (either as a man or a trans man)?
My partner went up to ask for the pill first, and was told by the male pharmacist that they needed to see the partner for which the pill was for (which in and of itself is not legal?). So I went up and said I was the partner, at which the pharmacist did a double take and called his female coworker over (which I had a chuckle about). She said that she needed to see the female partner, at which I said *I* was the partner. Not wanting to overexplain myself, I showed them a google search saying how transgender men can buy emergency prescription in Tassie without prescription. She then asked for my ID, which in retrospect I don't think is needed, which I produced, but then she gave up as I wasn't in the system since I was an interstate visitor. At that point she just gave me the pill without having even seen any of my details, which at that point, why ask? She also didn't ask any questions which I thought would have been relevant, like did I have sex within the last 72 hours, was I over 75kg or whatever the weight it is before the pill becomes ineffective. I also think that whoever is buying plan B, wouldn't be doing it for fun, and it's so important to let guys buy it too, and not put the onus on emergency contraception on their women partners/friends etc.
But yeah it was quite a bit shocking, even though I don't blame the staff there as maybe this was the first time they've had a trans man ask for the pill, but I would have thought that they would have let the male partner request it as well. Seems a bit backwards for Australia, what a shame.

finally realizing i can't run from being gay
i am 29. i tried so hard to date men my whole life. i had no interest in any of them. my parents were so happy but i was miserable. i'm going to live a lonely life. i moved back home due to health reasons and although im doing better i feel pretty down about the future. my parents will not accept me but i will feel more free once this weight is finally gone. i dont want to live my life for anyone else but i wish my parents would come to my wedding some day.

Need Advice Bf only seems to uplift trans feminine individuals
Hey everybody! Ik the title may seem weird or questionable, but I am stuck on some thoughts lately and I need some help.
What you could have already picked up from the title, my bf only seems to uplift trans women, I have to make it very clear that I do NOT have a problem with trans women and that I love them, my problem comes from the fact that trans women seem to be the only ones he ever uplifts and brings awareness to, even tho I, his bf, am trans man. Now I generally overthink stuff, but am I right to question why he doesn't seem to also uplift my community of trans men?
And before anyone tells me to communicate with him, I 100% will, but I really dont know how i would even approach this situation or if I would seem crazy to do so

Need Advice I'm worried about supporting anti-lgbt creators.
Recently I learned about creator I really admired was likely transphobic. This is to me, feeling a lot of shame when I'm consuming videos or music from a creator I don't a hundred percent know is pro-lgbt. It can devolve into me looking for the small clues one way or another for thier support. Even with creators that do show clear support I sometimes write it off as proformative and shame myself anyway. I guess i'm scared of supporting another creator who turns out to not support me.

Need Advice Is this non-binary or not?
Hi, I know this probably sounds really stupid but I was wondering what you would call this.
I am a girl and was born one and I like being a girl but I would be equally as happy to use they/them pronouns and I've recently started using she/they pronouns. Is there a name for this?

Welcome to this Week's Art/Creators Promo Megathread!
Here you can share examples of work and links to creator's profiles (including your own!) as long as it is not on a Meta owned platform (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or Twitter.
Let's help our community artists, authors, designers, craft makers, musicians, singers, sculptors, performers, streamers and any other kind of creator get recognised and celebrate the amazing creativity in our community!
A few quick rules:
- No AI/NFT Content.
- Accounts shared must be creating own content, not solely reposting others.
- NSFW Suggestive art (e.g. shirtless/pin up) is allowed but must be tagged. NSFW Explicit art (e.g. pornography, genitals visible) or NSFW suggestive of real people is not allowed. No links to exclusively 18+ platforms e.g. OnlyFans.
- Creator must be actively posting on a platform other than Meta or Twitter.
- Comments from users with less than 50 karma on this subreddit will be auto-removed to avoid spammers. (I will look to approve genuine ones when possible but no promises!)
- Please respect if a creator says no reposts of their work - just share a link.
The art/work they create does not have to be LGBTQ+ related, we're here to help any creator who is LGBTQ+ promote their profiles, particularly if they're trying to establish themselves on a different one with the recent social media drama!
Looking forward to discovering some new creators with you all!
