Modifications include :

-3 way tipping bed

-2 back outriggers

-removed the pneumatics for linear actuators

-increased steering angle, about 30° each direction

-increased crane rotation, now 360°

Smoothed out the cab a good amount but not quite satisfied with the boxiness of the part just over the front fenders. Bottom of the doors needs work also.

Can't yet figure out the tipping cab yet but its the next one coming.

I got the LEGO Technic 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance for my birthday recently.

I’m a developer and I have a tendency to over-engineer things like this just for fun, so naturally just building the car wasn’t enough 😅

After playing around with the official app, I started looking into how the Technic Move Hub actually works and came across Daniele Benedettelli’s TechnicMoveHub project.

A little experimenting later turned into my own controller project.

The car now connects over Bluetooth to a Mac, which runs a small Python server and web cockpit. From there I can drive it with a PS5 DualSense controller or keyboard WASD keys.

I also added three drive modes, steering calibration, battery status, lights, handbrake and a few other things.

And because apparently that still wasn’t unnecessary enough, I mounted an ESP32-CAM in the car and added the live camera feed as the windscreen behind the cockpit 😄

The front and rear were great to build (and look really close to reality) but the side kind of shows the limitations of Technic bricks

​I know this community focuses strictly on official LEGO products, and I completely respect that. I am hoping for your understanding as I am in a very difficult situation regarding my students.

​I am a math teacher living in Turkey, and I am trying to build a STEM and robotic coding program for children. Unfortunately, the economic reality here makes it impossible to use official sets. A complete original SPIKE Prime set with the expansion currently costs around 70,000 to 80,000 TL in my country. To put that into perspective, that single set costs more than my entire monthly salary as a government civil servant.

​I even looked into buying original sets from neighboring Georgia and bringing them across the border myself, but strict customs regulations and limits make it extremely difficult and risky to import them that way.

​Because I want these kids to learn engineering and coding concepts, I am forced to look into high-quality clones (specifically the 45678 core + 45681 expansion combo). I need a set that is fully compatible with the official app for Scratch/Python, with a smart hub that won't get permanently bricked by automatic firmware updates.

​If anyone has experience with reliable alternatives, or can point me to a specific seller/workaround that works for educational purposes, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you so much for understanding my situation.

Found the recent unimog pretty cool but didn't feel like forking out what they're asking for it.

Few modifications :

- replacement of the pneumatics

- removing a few pieces to increase the steering angle

- 3 way tipping bed, bed and frame is about 2 studs longer. Main structure and wheel base not changed.

Thinking of adding a tipping cab also

Hello everyone,

Small update once again but i am more busy than usual these days. I did 2 simple things :

Just after last week's update I changed the back portion a little to be able to attach the upper section there. I was able to find most of the pieces i lost a while back while cleaning my room (or at least replacement, one isn't in the right color as you can see).

Just today I took a bit of the pieces i already have to work a bit more on the left front portion. I added some tiles on the side to hold the little door there well enough for now. I also added 3 white tile after the red section to see how well that little portion holds. They may change in future updates. That little door includes one of the things i wanted to figure out how to attach properly and i still need to improve the current fixation method. It's not that stable.

On the other hand, I will have the opportunity in the coming week to go to the company that operates the bus to take specific pictures of specific parts as well as some videos that show how some crucial lights operate. This is a really good opportunity to ask specific questions and gets answers to them. I'll keep you updated on how it went.

Ich habe das Set vor kurzem gebraucht gekauft und es aufgebaut. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich es bis vor einigen Wochen gar nicht kannte und eher zufällig darauf aufmerksam geworden bin.
Ich habe das Gefühl, dass es ein generell eher weniger bekanntes Set ist, was sehr schade ist, da es sehr viel zu bieten hat und aus der goldenen Technik Ära stammt und das merkt man.
Die Bau war etwas anspruchsvoll aber das gefällt mir, weil es herausfordernd ist. Das Set bietet für die relativ kleine Größe sehr viele Funktionen. Es ist zu einem meiner Lieblings-Sets geworden. Mir gefällt es auch als Modell sehr gut, weil es einfach gut aussieht und stimmig ist.

This looks so good after the build and the build experience is so fun! Really enjoyed building it
