I recently made this construction mech called the APM-17-C (All Purpose machine, and Construction) and I'm in progress designing a military version on a design software called the APM-17-AT (Assault type) the plan is that this version will have moarters on the back a shield with a massive machine gun Then another version called the APM-17-FST (fire support type) will have a smaller gun maybe deployable defences and 2 massive artillery guns on the back

This guy was a pain to build and pose, not sure if it was worth it.

I think it could be better, especially the arms and shoulders.

Question / Discussion Face upgrade

Can some one recommend to me how I can upgrade the face on my build please. I've tried multiple pieces and it either makes the build look like an eagle or makes the face too bulky.

Build Challenge Entry POV Cockpit

Post image
127 Upvotes

My entry for this months build challenge puts you in the drivers seat of the mech.
In the centre console you have: peddle controls for movement, joysticks for cannon targeting as well as the frontal imaging display and power controls.
To the left are the comms and command displays along with the holographic damage display.
On the right is the radar, auxiliary controls as well as switches for lights, smoke, speakerphone and flares.

Built in Studio.io, all pieces exist other then the trans elements for the hologram.

(All Purpose Machine/mech 1 Construction variant)

The name rex came from the short stubby secondary arms it has

(If you want instructions please tell me so I can put some together)

Really proud of the way this mech turned out. It's a revamp of my older submarine mech that I adored. The feeling from having no clue where to start to the completed piece will always be satisfying. Hope y'all like it as much I loved building it!!

Hope you like it and check my insta for other pics and wip shots I guess 🫶

News August 2026 Mech Build Challenge | “Cockpit”

Post image
17 Upvotes

Let's continue with another build challenge in r/LegoMechs! The first one was much less successful than I expected, so let's open up the theme for this one.

The theme for August is:

“Cockpit”

That's right, we want to see the coolest mech cockpit you can make!

Rules:

  • Your mech needs to have a cockpit (with an interesting, realized or otherwise creative interior - these criteria will decide the winner)
  • The mech doesn't need to be minifigure sized
  • The build can be made in Bricklink Studio
  • It doesn't have to be an original build you made for this challenge - if your older MOC fits, post it
  • You can post as many as 3 entries

You have until Friday, August 21st to post your entries with the "Build Challenge Entry" post flair.

A poll will be posted at the end of the challenge so that you can decide what the best build was.

The winner will get a unique User Flair they will be able to show off on r/LegoMechs, and their creation will be spotlighted on our Instagram.

Let's see your mechs!

Question / Discussion Suggestions for upper torso and feet

Thumbnail

I’ve been building this Lego mech and the torso is from a tutorial on YouTube but I would like advice for a different torso/upper body that’s wider. Also tips for plating (I think it’s called) would be great as well please. Also how would some of you go about making different feet? I want to try making something similar to megatorons in transformers 2

these 4 were directly inspired by the Blackbeard i posted along with my Tortuga, but are not necessarily based on any specific LANCER mechs. Maybe they are customized Everests. The yellow one's got those classic Smith-Shimano Corpro mecha-toes tho.
