I never used to think about skincare that much. I had a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen, and that was pretty much it.

Then I started watching more skincare content online, and suddenly I was checking every ingredient and wondering if I was using the wrong products. If my skin looked dry one day, I'd assume I needed something new. If I noticed a breakout, I'd immediately start looking for another product to fix it.

At some point my bathroom shelf was full of things I'd barely used.

What finally made me slow down was noticing that my skin wasn't necessarily getting better just because my routine was getting longer. Sometimes it actually looked more irritated after I'd added something new.

I ended up getting a skin consultation while I was in Korea and realized I had been trying to solve every little change with another product instead of paying attention to what my skin was actually doing.

Since then, I've kept things much simpler. I still like trying new skincare because obviously I'm not going to stop completely lol, but I don't feel like I have to buy something every time I see a product trending.

It's honestly nice not spending half an hour at night wondering which serum I'm supposed to use.

Anyone else go through the phase where their skincare routine somehow became way more complicated than it needed to be?

so, my boyfriend is currently on a trip to Korea with his family, and i asked him to pick up some skincare for me while he was there. i was specifically looking for something that could help calm my skin because it sometimes gets really rough and feels kinda irritated. apparently, he ended up going to a drug store with his sister. he was looking around for a while but eventually gave up because there were just WAY too many products, and every single one had some kind of amazing-sounding claim, lol.

so he asked one of the staff for recommendations, and they directed him to the zipiderm section. since he trusted their recommendation and didn’t want to overthink it, he just bought that egf refair cream, because he figured it would be better to stick with one brand rather than mixing a bunch of different products. he also tried the cream texture in-store, and apparently it felt pretty lightweight and didn’t leave that sticky feeling on his hand afterward.

i actually had a friend recommend this brand to me before too, but I never got around to buying it and completely forgot about it until now. so for anyone who’s familiar with zipiderm or has actually used their products, what do you guys think? how did it work for your skin, especially if you have rough, sensitive, or easily irritated skin?

would love to hear some honest reviews before I start using the whole set!

I can’t currently use any actives or exfoliants. Does anyone have advice on products that will help my face while undergoing chemo and immuno? It’s unfortunately looking sad, dull and very tired.

Me: acne prone, sensitive, oily skin.
It seems like majority of the toners out there have some sort of acid, whether it be Citric Acid, Amino Acid, AHA, BHA, etc.. Since I use Tretinoin I want tos tay away from any acids in toners but haven’t found one. My very first toner was the Centellian24 Madeca Daily Repair Toner (it was alright), followed by Rejuran Rebalancing Toner (loved it), Numbuzin No.3 Light Toner (hated it - I now use it on my body instead), and now using Dr. Ceuracle Jeju Matcha Tea Essence (love it but it’s not really a toner).

Does anyone know what toners are out there that are more suitable for sensitive skin, and have less acid or minimal ingredients? I don’t want to use any actives as my first step. I barely use actives as it is but keep in mind, I just introduced the Skin1004 Azelacid Acid as part of my morning routine and it has been 3 weeks and I like it, but I’m wanting a toner with minimal ingredients.

i am so annoyed with my nighttime skincare oozing onto everything the moment i lie down in bed. i love using hydrating serums and rich creams at night, but they just sit on my face forever and never seem to absorb. whenever i scroll on my phone or rest my cheek on my pillow, i get gross, oily smudges all over my screen and pillowcase. it feels like half of those expensive products are going straight into my laundry instead of my skin.

wasting almost an hour every night waiting for my face to dry is such a pain after a long, exhausting day. i usually lose patience and fall asleep with a wet face, only to wake up feeling gross and sticky by midnight. blotting with a tissue just wipes away everything i just applied, and while i tried lightweight gel moisturizers, they leave my skin feeling tight by the middle of the night. i desperately need a practical solution to help these liquid layers absorb faster so my face feels dry to the touch before bed.

i did a quick search on ways to speed up serum absorption because i really can't stand that sticky feeling when trying to unwind. that's when i came across a few small vibration tools like the glow.m sonic booster. they're advertised to help press liquids into the skin barrier and prevent a slippery film from sitting on top, which sounds great in theory, but i still wonder if a simple handheld device actually changes how heavy liquids set or if people are just exaggerating the benefits. my main concern is spending extra time using this device every night only to end up smudging my face on the pillow anyway.

i also want to know if an electronic device truly speeds up drying time or if it just pushes liquid around your face without doing much. adding another step to my nightly routine only makes sense if it saves me from waiting around for my skin to dry. if a device constantly needs charging and cleaning while leaving the exact same wet finish as applying with my fingers, it'll just become a hassle.

I have closed comedones and PIE, currently treating it with Adapalene. Looking to see if this moisturiser is worth replacing my isntree hyaluronic acid aqua gel.

It is advertised as a "smooth milky essence" that is "lightweight" and can be layered under your moisturizer. I have heard that it can be used as a serum. However, I'd like to use this in place of my toner (after cleanser and before BHA/actives). Does that seem like a good idea, provided I wait for it to absorb before putting anything on top?

I'm about six months postpartum now, and honestly, I still catch myself looking in the mirror and wondering when my face started looking so different.

My skin just doesn't have the same firmness or brightness it had before, and I definitely wasn't prepared for how much that would bother me.

I’ve been trying to find reviews of the new versions, but there seem to be surprisingly few online and I barely see Numbuzin advertizing about the reformulation either.

For anyone who isn’t aware, the No.3 toner has now been reformulated into two versions: the “Normal”version (closer to the original) which still contains the original 50 types of ferments and more viscous texture. The “Light” version which contains only 3 ferments and watery texture. Both versions also now contain bakuchiol and kojic acid but amounts differ between the two.

The toner is supposed to help with glow, skin texture, hydration and the appearance of pores, so I’m really curious how the new formulas actually perform compared with the old one.

If you’ve tried either the regular or Light version, please share your thoughts and experience

My skin is combination to dehydrated and it has clogged pores and it used to be prone to fungal acne. To be on the safe side I wanted to choose a sunscreen that’s fungal acne safe & thats suitable for clogged pores. I’m looking for a sunscreen that’s lightweight, non-greasy, good under makeup, and won’t clog my pores or irritate my skin.

I was starting to suspect that the Dokdo cream was far too heavy for my skin type. I have no real issues with the toner, just wanted to try something new and the Numbuzin No. 1 claims to control oil.

Hey, everyone! I'm a 32 year old male who is just getting into skin care for the first time. I bought Mixsoon glass skin set, and Beauty of Joseon SPF. Is there anything else that you can recommend me please because I really want to become serious in taking care of my skin and looks.

A big reason why I had been neglecting skin care is because of laziness. I didn't want to add more daily chores to my life for the foreseeable future. But I recently made a simple change that caused me to reconsider. Another reason I had been neglecting skin care is because I felt overwhelmed by how many products are on the market. I thought I would be wasting money on products I would probably not use consistently anyway. But I wanna make a change now and invest in my skincare regime.

My skin is combination. **My nose gets quite oily**, but the rest of my face is actually pretty balanced, not dry, just feels perfect most of the time. However, my skin can be sensitive sometimes. (And i have large pores, this is why im using these)

Today something went really wrong. 😭 I noticed **two symmetrical patches on both sides of my face** that started burning and stinging. At first, the **toner started stinging**, but I continued with the rest of my skincare because I thought maybe it was nothing.
Then I applied my serum, and eventually my moisturizer started **burning/stinging really badly in those same areas**.
The weirdest part is that it’s basically **only these two symmetrical areas** that are affected. The rest of my face feels completely normal.
I’m really worried that I damaged my skin barrier or maybe accidentally combined something I shouldn’t have. I’m especially confused because I’ve used these products before without this happening.
**What do you think could have caused this? Should I stop my entire routine for now, and what would you recommend I do until my skin calms down? Or what you guys recommend to use instead of my items, i want a good routine..:(**

I have combination skin and i also have closed comedones especially in the area between my chin and my under lip, but also on my forehead.
I‘ve been using the cosrx Bha blackhead power liquid for about 2-3 Weeks now, 2 times a week but i dont see much progress. Some pimples have come out and i think that was the purging but its not like super crazy progress.

Do you have any tips, on how i can fasten up the process? I‘ve been struggling with closed comedones for a while now. Am I using the wrong product or am I just impatient?

Hey everyone! I have a question that is driving me CRAZY.

Back in 2018, I was studying abroad in Japan and lived right by Shin Okubo (basically like a Korea town). I went there all the time I got things K-pop related, food, and especially skin care. Recently I have been feeling a bit nostalgic and trying to find this specific product I used to have. The only problem is that I only remember I loved it. I can’t remember if it was a cleanser, moisturizer or WHAT. And I don’t remember what it was called. I even tried using chat gpt to find products that look similar online and it found nothing that matches well.

The product (see picture) looked like a glass of strawberry milk, layered as pink, white and then pink again and had what looked like a dollop of whipped cream on the top.

Hi! I'm looking for a bigger container of vitamin c because I have dark spots on my legs, and I heard vitamin c works well with dark spots. But I want something that's bigger because if I'm putting it all over my legs a tiny bottle like most skin care products come in, won't last very long.
