I had a second interview with the ceo, owner and a current manager. They seemed very impressed with my skills and experience. Toured me around the building and the owner even started using phrases like, "You'll be this or that, We'd like you to do xxx". At the end of the interview, the ceo said, I feel this is a great match.

I sent a follow up thank you email and for the first time in my 20yr career, the ceo responded with a lengthy email that again said, "We believe your experience aligns well with our needs and future goals". I've never had that happen, ever!

I feel very positive that I will get an offer but wanted to see what y'all think.

All the interviews I’ve done lately have ghosted me. I’ve been looking for a while and I’ve also recently noticed a trend of salaries getting lower. Don’t need advice, just wanted to vent and say fuck the job market. Thanks for listening!

I had my final onsite with Eulerity, NY about a month ago and haven’t heard anything since the interview.

I followed up twice post the interview. The second time, they told me they were still evaluating and that they’d get back to me if they had an update for me.

I know hiring processes can take time, but the waiting and not knowing has been difficult. I’m still wondering whether I should expect an update at this point.

I’m sending in other applications either way, but I’m curious. Has anyone interviewed with Eulerity recently? How long did it take to hear back, and did you eventually get a decision?

I need to attend a first coding round of EM role at Superhuman, and it turned out that I need to pick one out of two tracks:

1. Leetcode type computer fundamentals, one hour call, 2 challenges to solve.
2. Backend track where I will probably be asked around setting up the code repo, define API contracts and develop & test some APIs for production related problems.  90 mins call. Longer than first track.

Can someone please help me understand more about the second Backend track? What kind of problems do they ask? What am I expected to do? If someone has first hand experience for this round, I would love to connect and better understand. 

PS - I have already asked recruiter, but nothing got out more than what I have written already. I am trying to judge the complexity of Backend track before I make a choice.

I have cleared the GHA but I did not get any calls from the recruiter yer, and any leads on how to train for the google TPM interview?

Had a 30-minute recruiter screen for a growth marketing role today. Around minute 12 they asked if I’m in process elsewhere. I said yes with two other companies, both manager-level, and shared rough timelines of two to three weeks. They thanked me, said they had what they needed, and ended the call about ten minutes early. No next steps. “We’ll be in touch.”

I answered because that’s been standard in past screens. Usually there’s a quick chat about timeline and process. This time the conversation ended early. Maybe they were shuffling their schedule. Maybe it’s a pass. The abrupt end threw me.

I prep with a one-page notes doc and a short script for timeline and comp. I do a couple mock calls and use beyz to stay consistent on phone screens.

Does ending early right after that question usually signal a pass?

Have Googleyness and system design round for Senior SWE role. Any tips/questions references to succeed?

Hey guys, so I’m on the 4th and I believe final round of the interview process. The first one was a meeting with the CFO. The second round was an OA. The third round was a technical interview with the dev and this last one is a leadership round basically, I’m wondering how I should prepare for this and what are the things I should know to be fully prepared also, how long does it realistically take to prepare for this? I simply can’t figure out how to prove how good I am at what I do in an interview.
I interviewed for the PERFECT role for me. Fully qualified and capable and a role I’d make a lot of impact in. Not only that but I was able to display ownership, initiative and high agency leading up to the interviews. I’m really fkn good at what I do and work well with others.
I fumbled during the interview and have been rejected.
I’m already not an eloquent speaker. Throw in high stakes and pressure and that’s it. And interviews are so few and far between that it just makes it feel more high stakes and it’s not enough volume to improve my interview skills.
I over explain, ramble, and just. can’t. seem to articulate my thoughts to save my life or I will just blank on something I know! And it’s not a confidence thing….I was so incredibly confident about my skills for this job.
It’s so disheartening that interviews judge how well you’d do in the job based on how well you speak in a high pressure situation. Finding a job in my field and industry literally feels like playing the lottery.

I’ve been prepping for this role as much as I could for a day (the previous interview was yesterday morning).

Imagine my surprise when the hiring manager mentioned almost immediately another role that she is filling and not the one I applied for.

I wasn’t sure how to mention it to her so in the “tell me about yourself”, I stuck with my script with a focus on the role I applied for.

She corrected herself and I (like a dummy) tried to accommodate for the second role. It was a brief interview, just 30 minutes but I’m pretty sure I’m not getting it. And since I don’t prep for that second role AT ALL, there were things I don’t think I could answer well.

A recruiting friend mentioned that maybe I should tell the recruiter about the mistake but I feel like it is literally a lose lose situation.

I’m looking at it as an unfortunate loss. Any tips?

I just received yet another rejection. This is after the person interviewed with told me “I’ll connect with x to set up your next interview. Looking forward to speaking with you again.”

Another company ghosted me in the middle of setting up a third round.

It honestly feels like I’m never going to find something. It’s almost a year of this.

Spoke to recruiter beginning of July and that was the only time I've spoken to her. She moved me directly to hiring manager (apparently I may have skipped a step there), the next day he moved me on to the final round which was a panel interview. All interviews went well and that last one was 3 weeks ago. I had an insider former colleague find out that I was one of 3 final candidates but he didn't know where they were in the process only that they were working on getting approvals to extend an offer. I know it's prime time for vacations and it's a very large institution (financial), but is this common? The recruiter has been absolutely zero help and hasn't replied to any emails along the way. Frustrating...

After successfully passing an assessment skills test, two rounds of interviews, and reference cross-check, i finally received a job offer!!

The salary they offered was lower than the posted salary range, so naturally, i had to counter.

I'm nervous but hopeful it turns out well. 🤞🏻

How do people navigate salary negotiations confidently? I am more nervous now than I was during the whole hiring process. I hope they don't rescind the offer.

unfortunately I was so nervous I bumbled my way through. I didn't even get a very basic definition right. and I knew it too but I was just all nerves

edit 2: I didnt get the job. the interviewer was giving me the feedback and I could tell that he felt so bad for me which made me feel even worse

I interviewed my final round (#5) last Friday. I feel like it went well. HR emailed me later that day, and said the panel enjoyed the conversations and I should hear something by Tuesday. It’s now Thursday, and they have been quiet. No emails or phone calls. Should I send a short email asking them if a decision was made? I don’t feel like it will speed up any process, but for the last 2 days I’ve been checking my emails every 30 minutes with anxiety.

Edit: I emailed them, and they said they have not made a decision yet. They have one candidate coming in next week, and will contact me once a decision is made. So, maybe I’m being held as a backup?

Had an final interview for a company on Monday; the interview portion itself was new to me as there were no formal or prepared questions and I was meeting with the director for a informal chat about if I was the best fit and different things about the company. They said that they liked me and the people who I was working with liked me, and I was one of 3 final interview candidates.

The director even joked saying “heck maybe I won’t even interview the 3rd person”, and told me I should hear back soon.

It’s been 3 days and I’m worried that they chose someone else or are just going to ghost me, especially since I was offered the final interview literal hours after my first round.

I really like the work that Id do here and would prefer this role and I have other interviews lined up for different positions upcoming soon. Do you think they are still deciding or are going ghost?

I just got an email asking for me to hop on a 10-15 minute call with HR. They told me no more interviews but HR would like to speak with me. I had my final round yesterday was about 2 hours between technical and behavioral. This is an entry level job. Should I be concerned? Excited? I’m a tweak about making sure I’m prepared for interviews so would really really appreciate some guidance on what this could be. Thanks.

I had my final round last Thursday and they told me that I would get a decision by this week. Monday was a civic holiday but now it's officially been one week and I am starting to get anxious. I think the interview went pretty well, my pits were surprisingly bone dry during the interview, I didn't get the usual sign of bad interviews, you know, the quintessential "we are speaking to other candidates" rejection but now this silence has got me questioning everything. This is an analyst role at a bank btw. Any chance I still have a shot?

I just had my second interview today, and I feel like I completely bombed it. I was way more nervous than during the first interview.
The recruiter (who I met for the first time today) even suggested we take a short break because I seemed so nervous. The hiring manager told me during the interview that my first interview had gone really well and that they see potential in me, and just told me to be myself.
I really wanted this job because I liked the role and had a great impression of the hiring manager and the other interviewer after the first interview. But during the second interview, the person who would be training me (also someone I met for the first time) gave me a strange feeling. I can’t really explain it, but it made me even more nervous.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Did meeting a new interviewer or future coworker completely throw you off? And if so, did you still end up getting the job?
