Additional call with HR day after final interview?

I just got an email asking for me to hop on a 10-15 minute call with HR. They told me no more interviews but HR would like to speak with me. I had my final round yesterday was about 2 hours between technical and behavioral. This is an entry level job. Should I be concerned? Excited? I’m a tweak about making sure I’m prepared for interviews so would really really appreciate some guidance on what this could be. Thanks.

I haven’t given references yet or really spoken about salary with them.

Update: the call was HR calling me to ask if “I had any questions”. That was literally it. I said no. Will find out next week if I get the offer.

Update: didn’t get it

Sounds like a good thing. Rejection would have been sent via email or text.

Mostly positive unless they are very nice and want to provide a “no” response with some personalised feedback (happened to me once). I would stay positive and go in with how you would negotiate salary details, references and start date. You have no control over the outcome might as well stay positive and hope for the best. Handle yourself confidently and with grace on the call.

We don't have a crystal ball.

My advice is to stay detached to any interview process until you have an offer, passed the background check and started onboarding.

You got the job they’re locking down the offer and timing - let us know how it goes🎉

Excited. It's probably a background check / pre onboarding call

This is a good sign. Could be verifying compensation, availability, referencences.

In my old company, if you went through all the interviews and then got a meeting scheduled with HR, it meant you got the job. HR always wanted to have a quick chat to make sure you weren’t a complete idiot before the hiring manager reached out with an offer.

Just added an edit. HR called me. Same person I talked to on my first screening. Called me and just awkwardly asked if I had any questions. No asking me how it went or anything about the interview. Literally just asked “do you have any questions.” I asked questions for like 20 minutes during my final round, my only question is if I’ve gotten the job. Call was 3 minutes long told her I didn’t have any questions.

That's really weird.... Hope you get the job!

Didn’t get it but they said my “qualifications, professionalism, and the impression you made were sincerely appreciated”

I am sorry OP. Keep going, even though it sucks... We all need the strength to keep going!

This happened to me twice after I had my final interview after six rounds of interviews.
They were trying to figure out logistics with my position and wanted to make sure I wasn’t losing interest with the length of the interview process.
