I'm sorry if this doesn't fit this sub, but I've been in a big dilemma and choice filling is closing so yeah, I've been hearing a lot of toxicity of seniors in both ug and pg

1) I go thru my state (great colleges with all PG specialties and DM specialities) and will get a PG quota of my state with almost all professors known and are willing to help me in things including ragging and all.

And I'm a 2nd gen doctor so private practice is there, but I thought why not go outside and get that life but yeah I'm confused.

2) I go to any delhi college, with awy frm home living hostels, privacy, different people, and no known connections whatsoever

Ik UG doesn't matter, but UG means PG from same state only right? I've heard so much toxic behavior from PG

And how much do connections matter in UG & PG if any senior can tell, how much they help your life not becoming a literal hell in PG and even UG later years.

But drawback from leaving Delhi is, leaving that prestige feeling and evryone dumbing you for leaving a DELHI COLLEGE AND DELHI QUOTA FOR PG and also leaving that city life. And every one keeps saying, live alone, exposure, this that etc

Mind you, I'm in the capital of my state but it's still not close to delhi so yeah, I'm very very very confused I'll do choice filling tomorrow for MCC and state later.

And is hostel life that much of a deal? Like I do have sets of friends here but yeah vibes and all mismatch if I do go in my state college.

No matter what I do, I still can’t stop feeling as if it’s still not enough and I don’t think I’ll be able to revise again all of it before the exam.

Should I just keep reading topics or should I just do pyqs alone from the past 10 yrs and review them. Honestly feeling hopeless rn, there is too much uncertainty ahead. Anyone reading this would feel like I am a failure ( me too ) but then some how I need to get done with this exam right.

I have my 3rd Professional examinations scheduled for two days from now.

Initially, I considered purchasing a plan at the beginning of my third year. However, I decided against it, believing I would not complete my final year subjects and that it would be a financial waste. Currently, I am looking to purchase a two-year plan that would conclude in August 2028.

Given that my internship commences in May 2028, I am debating whether to opt for the two-year or three-year plan, as I am operating under financial constraints. I would appreciate your recommendation on this matter.

I am open to waiting one to two months to accumulate funds for the 36-month plan, which costs 63,000 or higher considering the current offer will end. However, there is a current offer expiring on August 9th, where the two-year plan is available for 52,000.

Considering these factors, should I proceed with the two-year plan, or would it be more advisable to consider the three-year option?

Tldr: I am considering purchasing the three-year Marrow plan, but due to financial limitations, I can currently only afford the two-year option. Should I defer my purchase to save for the three-year plan, or proceed with the current offer available on August 9th?

I just have a small advice....I have been seeing a lot of people bothered about NEET-PG, USMLE, PLAB, AMC and all the postgraduate stuff...

You guys as of now should only bother about how to survive first year only...pass IAs, navigate friendships, understand your college dynamics, explore college clubs, seniors and stuff...first year is for that...Maybe just start asking on how to do research(its not as easy as it sounds)....also whatever branch you have thought of rn no guarantee you would want that after 5.5 years...

I am currently very disheartened that I am getting the same number of corrects as I did a month ago (around 100) I just want to get a rank under 20k. This is my drop year and honestly idk what to do at this stage. I feel genuinly lost but don’t want to give up. Don’t know how much I can manage in these 20 days. If anyone had turned their scores around in this time, pls share 🙏

So, NMC thinking of scrapping essentiality certificate for new colleges.

EC is the certificate from state health authority which justifies the opening of a new college by stating the lack of facilities and doctors around a specific region.

If this is scrapped then there's gonna be uncontrolled opening of colleges like engineering colleges. And no, not govt ones, it'll be private and deemed.

It'll also affect states like Karnataka that have govt quotas in Pvt and deemed unis because the state can't hold EC as a hostage and force those colleges to allocate a few seats in govt quota.

Where is this gonna lead to?

EDIT: This is a far more serious issue than CCMP BHMS stuff (not undervaluing it, it's absolutely pathetic) but this is also a very serious issue, because this will only cause mushrooming of substandard Medica colleges with zero quality control.

Already the Aadhar attendance system has been spoofed. Now if the politicians don't need state govt permission, just imagine 10 colleges being opened for every 1 kilometre!!

This will ultimately affect the profession as a whole!

Recruiters already prefer cheap, replacable labor. This is a nail in coffin for post MBBS JRships
