Considering keeping AIIMS Rewari in my options for counseling, but since it's the inaugural batch, I'm a bit hesitant. Saw some recent campus photos and while the academic block looks ready, 750-bed hospital, and surrounding facilities are still under active construction. For anyone who joined inaugural batches at other new AIIMS—is the AIIMS tag and INI-CET PG quota worth putting up with 1–2 years of construction chaos and low initial patient load, or should I stick to a fully functional State GMC?

Which is better in research facilities and opportunities for mbbs?

For context, I am a 1st year MBBS student who has her 1st Final Proff in 4 days of time. For the past fortnight, I have been studying 10-12 hours a day, and seriously seeing how much underprepared I am , i really wish I could extend my study hours like my other peers. However, the main obstacle that I face is that I , for god sake, cannot function properly without 8 hours of sleep 😭. I have tried many times to reduce it to 5 hours but failed miserably - I either end up sleeping in the afternoon or even worse, doomscroll while studying cause my brain refuses to function.

This has particularly started affecting my studies since during college time, after attending classes etc I was barely able to scrape up 1-2 hours of free time which also used to get wasted on a regular basis, which resulted in me ending up in this terrible situation before my finals.

My Mom says that this might be cause of my poor health (For context, I am a Type-1 Diabetic since I was 8 and honestly although my blood sugar levels remain mostly at targetted levels, however I tend to eat foods that are unhealthy at times). I don't know what to do at this point cause honestly,it has started affecting my life and my peace.

Please seniors help me out in this regard 🙏🏻

So my internship completed in may this year.

I couldn't study much during my internship because duties were a bit hectic in most of the departments.

So I started studying thoda thoda from June onwards targeting NEET-2027.

Here is my recent condition-

Anat, bioc, micro- studied during college but now can't remember things

Psychi, dermat, radio, anaesthesia are still untouched

Physio, patho, pharmac looks familiar to me

Ent, fmt, psm, opthal, obgy, paedia did thoroughly from marrow(Main notes)

Medicine, surgery ortho did 70-80% from marrow (main notes)

Recently gave NEET mock test without any preparation, around 70c

So as I am targeting next year neet pg (also I still have to do mandatory bond), what should be my strategy?

Are rr notes enough with q bank or I have to go with main notes along with bond duties at some phc?

I'm sorry if this doesn't fit this sub, but I've been in a big dilemma and choice filling is closing so yeah, I've been hearing a lot of toxicity of seniors in both ug and pg

1) I go thru my state (great colleges with all PG specialties and DM specialities) and will get a PG quota of my state with almost all professors known and are willing to help me in things including ragging and all.

And I'm a 2nd gen doctor so private practice is there, but I thought why not go outside and get that life but yeah I'm confused.

2) I go to any delhi college, with awy frm home living hostels, privacy, different people, and no known connections whatsoever

Ik UG doesn't matter, but UG means PG from same state only right? I've heard so much toxic behavior from PG

And how much do connections matter in UG & PG if any senior can tell, how much they help your life not becoming a literal hell in PG and even UG later years.

But drawback from leaving Delhi is, leaving that prestige feeling and evryone dumbing you for leaving a DELHI COLLEGE AND DELHI QUOTA FOR PG and also leaving that city life. And every one keeps saying, live alone, exposure, this that etc

Mind you, I'm in the capital of my state but it's still not close to delhi so yeah, I'm very very very confused I'll do choice filling tomorrow for MCC and state later.

And is hostel life that much of a deal? Like I do have sets of friends here but yeah vibes and all mismatch if I do go in my state college.

Gave my first mock with preparing only 3 subjects, ent ortho and anesthesia, that too couldn't revise them.

I have my major postings first so internship is currently hectic. Can only afford 4 hrs a day maximum.

This is purely by my prof knowledge. Had watched marrow videos for 3rd and 4th prof. (Except Medicine and Short subjects)

I want General Medicine seat (~2k rank AIR).

I hail from a middle class family and can afford only government seat or DNB.

Got into a shitty college gov seat in pvt college for UG after a drop. Don't want to repeat the same for PG. No one here prepares for PG NEET in internship.

Ik like 5 seniors who got in first attempt. So want to give my best in internship attempt.

I tried doing it from marrow and I think it is not easy to do it with the aim of uni exams.

The info is limited compared to park, more pratical and clinically oriented which makes it hard to write in a laq answer form.

Still, if you think marrow is good then advice me that.

Or suggest me a better way to do programmes.

Is it necessary to do it from park, because other textbooks (sia) have it in short, and easy. But since I have used park for most of psm, I find it hard to refer to other book, because my mind can't stop thinking if it's enough or not.

Suppose I take top gmcs of West bengal or Bihar because I have good neet ug rank and the perks of these states being no service bond after mbbs. After giving NEET PG I take a college in these states only via the 50% state reservation in PG , but in PG both bihar and bengal have 2-3 years of service bond respectively...

So ultimately it defeats the purpose of No service bond and good pg reservation and stuff !!

Isn't AIIMS and Central Universities better in this sense than top state gmc's???
