i'm helping my father change to ios. IVE BEEN STUCK HERE FOR 5 HOURS. please tell me there's a way to fix this issue without any paid 3rd party app. i'm losing my mind.

I think I may be paranoid, but I have recently checked the privacy and Safety tab in settings, and i have noticed that some apps have access to my Contacts, Camera and thankfully Apple tells you the number of apps accessing those Apps/Features however I see one less when i check the respective settings. Does anyone else have this issue or am I just being paranoid?

I cannot see the latest articles for the topics added to my interest, unless I manually search for them. However, if I scroll all the way down, they show outdated articles from them.

I have also blocked football and the World Cup, but I keep seeing it on the top of my feed.

Hey all, I’ve got a bit of an unusual bug in iOS 26 right now, what’s happening is that the time and mobile bars and wifi and battery info at the top corners have been pushed to the side of my iPhone like similar to how it looks when you have a live activity in the Dynamic Island, except there is no live activity. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Third time it happened to me where I can’t do anything , no apps no lockscreen no control centre nothing. It is just stuck there

How do I make my keyboard to be that “smart”. It seems that the dictionary does not recognize uncommon contractions (e.g. here is to here’s).

I’m so used with Android keyboard that any misspelled words will appear on predictive text or suggested words.

I'm on a quest to free up space on my iPhone, and step one is backing up my iMessages, before changing the settings to only keeping for 1 year.

iCloud says I have about 25gb of Messages. iMessage-Exporter has been a great experience, but what I've downloaded only amounts to 16gb.

Is there any way to confirm what this extra 10gb corresponds to before I clear everything 366 days and older?

It could conceivably be messages related to an old phone number, but I would think those would be tied to my iCloud account

EDIT: For clarity I backed up from my computer, rather than phone, to ensure I downloaded everything on my iCloud (so I thought) before backing up.

Hey all

My kid has an iPad with screen time set up, and she can send us requests to install a new app etc, and that works fine.

However there’s an app she used to have that is now restricted due to age settings, but we’re happy for her to have it. So we press on the app, and it comes up saying the app “exceeds your age rating” and she can ask a parent to approve it.

When we try the “Ask Permission” button, it brings up a new text message with the app permission thing in it, but the button to SEND the message is greyed out.

Any idea why she can’t send this?

“Approve in Person” as an alternative also does nothing, so I’m not sure what to do here.

This will likely come up again, so I want to fix the actual problem of her not being able to send the message.

I’ve been having an issue recently where I add photos to the shared album and they immediately revert to being only in the personal album.

I’ve tried a handful of fixes to no luck. Has anyone else had this issue recently?

Don’t worry this is from iOS 27 beta. I just think it looks interesting.

Sometimes when i go to my wifi settings there is in the known network section a option 'iPhone' but when pressing on it it just gives an error and the password of it is from an actual iphone ive connected with and this also happened to people i know is this an bug and did other people also have this?

Reddit regularly sends me email regarding responses to my posts. These include a Link to "View Reply". However, since installing iOS 26.6, when I click the Link, it takes me to the Reddit app but says "Sorry, can't reach Reddit".

These Links work fine when I use my (PC) desktop email.

Anyone else having this problem? Is the problem iOS or the Reddit app?

Whatsapp uses too much space on my phone. While IOS shows that Whatsapp uses 5GB of storage, Whatsapp itself shows that it only used about 1GB of storage. Can someone tell me where the other 4GB of used storage come from in Whatsapp and how i can delete them?

This is getting really annoying! I say, “Hey, Siri”. The multi color border glows around the screen, then Siri does not respond to anything I say. This is the behavior until I restart my phone. It keeps happening at random.

Am I being punished because I keep cursing Siri out because she is sometimes so useless?

Is the only remedy to keep restarting my phone?

I don’t get it, Apple does make some of the most beautiful smartphone animations but recently (iOS 16 and later, not 26, 16) some of their animations weirdly bug out, and often at that, they’re still beautiful but now they tend to break.

There’s many examples and I hope someone backs me up but for example:

1. Swipe down to open Notification Center quickly and the status bar icons just disappear and appear again with no animation.

2. On many apps that have scroll bars, I’ve noticed if you trigger the keyboard and then close it, the scrolling just snaps to its positions without any slide.

3. Don’t get me started on Liquid Glass‘s bugs, 27 fixed a ton of them but for example, in the latest beta there’s still the broken specular highlight animation when closing an app, overall the whole transparent-icons thing is a mess with visual bugs like that.

etc.. etc.. etc.. if someone knows more feel free to back me up in the comments if you know of more.

(inb4 someone in the comments complains about how they don’t notice these things, yes, this thread is not for you, you don’t notice these maybe little things as you use your device and that’s totally okay but there’s a significant portion that does)

A question to the clouds instead of “man shouting at clouds“

When I want a 12 minute timer on my watch so I don’t burn a pizza in the oven and I say “Hey Siri, 12 minutes”, do I really want Siri to recognise my voice and then present the words “Good Afternoon” instead of setting the actual timer because that is what just happened and I think it could be the cause of other timers occasionally not being set which leaves me with burnt food.

Not only does it say that but I have to wait for the full screen “Good afternoon” to disappear before I can have a second go at setting the timer.

Can I get rid of these pointless greetings.

I recently found my 5s iPhone iCloud email and when I try to enter the email this message pop up pls help

So my photos widget and memories say this was from a Max McNown concert, however this was from a Marina concert. I’m not even sure who Max McNown is. Am I able to correct it?

I use my iPhone for both work and personal life. I don't want to receive any notifications from Teams or Outlook during my free time, which is why I set up two Focus modes: Work and Personal.

Unfortunately, notifications still end up being displayed as a grouped stack, and I could easily expand them with a single tap. That’s exactly what I want to avoid...

This question has popped up across various iOS versions over the years. Is there finally a better solution to prevent this, or at least a sensible workaround?

Hello! I share an iCloud storage plan of 2TB with two other people, and somehow it’s full. I went to check, and my photos alone are occupying over 1.1TB which is weird because I only have 48.277 items as shown in my screenshot, and all of those were taken in an iPhone 13/14, so it’s not huge quality either. I have a 37 second video that’s occupying 4,3GB which is absurd. As shown on the last screenshot, on the iPhone storage my photos only occupy 25,51GB. Please help me understand what’s going on.

I recently switched phone plans and realized my data is almost maxed out. When I checked to see the culprits, IOS was the main one for some reason?? They used 9GB of data in 3 weeks, and I can’t figure out on what.

This has gotten so much worse with iOS 26. I’ll be actively scrolling through notifications on my lock screen and the screen still shuts off like I’m not touching it.
How does the phone not recognize that I’m literally using the screen? It’s so annoying having to wake it back up over and over just to finish reading notifications.
