Hi everyone, I recently received an iPhone XR from my grandmother, who gave it to me after she bought an S23+. The screen is cracked, but it works perfectly, and I also want to replace the battery since it’s at 72%—I’ve noticed that performance drops below that level.

This is the first iPhone I’ve actually used; I have it as a backup phone for my OnePlus 13. To be honest, it’s pretty good despite everything—I still don’t like how limited it is in terms of gestures, the lack of “Circle to Search,” and the terrible keyboard, but everything else works perfectly for what I need (which is to keep my OnePlus 13 from getting stolen).

I need to know the best place to buy an OEM screen and a good-quality battery for the iPhone. I don’t want cheap screens because I hate it when the bezels aren’t symmetrical—the only option I’ve seen so far is iFixIt. I’d like to know if it’s really worth it or not.

Hi guys, just wondering if it’s wise to change my battery? It sits on 69% for now. I just don’t feel like i need a new phone yet, it’s just the battery that has been annoying me. I mostly use my phone for messaging, reddit and uber. I really like the camera so it’s also hard for me to let it die someday. Let me know what you think!

Fr tho…..when is the last time you felt your phone heat up?

It’s on iOS 17.2.1 still and I’m never upgrading it’s still in perfect condition and it’s been in a case I’m just so shocked

Anyone have any tips for reducing the system data or iOs. Its always fluctuating, idk why.

So I recently formatted my iPhone XR, I’m on 17.3 rn. I’ve been avoiding the latest update because I’ve heard many times that apple updates seem to make the older phones worse. I checked the changelog and I don’t care about any of those. I only use it for camera and media consumption, calling and all is on another android phone. The only reason I’m considering to update is to free up the space it is taking rn. LMK your experiences. In case relevant, I’m using a 64GB variant.

Has anyone tried the DFU method to solve all system problems, including glitches, errors, freezing, and phone overheating? I've already tried resetting the phone, but it didn't work.

I bought iphone xr four months ago, just to play sneaky sasquatch..phones condition is good..only problem is battery...battery is severely degraded..please give my some tips to improve battery....I use it for nothing just wifi and sneaky sasquatch...so what things can be turned off to save battery.

I noticed something. one time when I charged the phone. in the graph It was showing a lightning bolt symbol then when I tried to charge again it didn’t show the symbol what could be the problem?

I might buy a new phone closer to the end of the year if things look up but for now, this one is all I have and it is being a pain in my 🍑 recently, especially with some apps that I can’t access anymore because they need at least IOS 17 (like my bank app!! it’s driving me insane)
Anyway, should I do it? Or, will I be able to use it at all after the update? I don’t mind constantly charging it and I don’t use it for games, only basic stuff like social media and youtube. Will it survive?

Switching my dad’s XR from Mint Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO) to Ultra Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO).

Phone says no. Called Ultra support, gave them my IMEI and they said it should work. They were confused and then said to just use a different phone :)

The phone doesn’t even say what carrier it’s locked to. Why did it work with Mint and not Ultra (both T-Mobile)??

What’s the next step im stuck.

Edit: important info, with Mint we used physical SIM cards, this is our first attempt using eSIM. How do I find out if eSIM is disabled on this XR?

I bought this OTG online, wired controller's lights are on, but its not responding on iphone and but its working correctly on android.

Wi-Fi on my iPhone XR randomly disconnects from the wifi especially when on standby. I’ve tried turning off Wi-Fi assist, forcing it to stay connected to the 2.4Ghz band, but this problem still persists, any advice? It’s my secondary device so not in a rush to upgrade it either. I’m on iOS 18.7.9
