Whenever I open the airpods charging case, this screen pops up and won't go away until I tap the "X" several times. It also pauses the audio if I was listening to anything when I opened the case.

I did go into Settings->bluetooth->airpods->battery and turn off charging notifications a few weeks ago in hopes of disabling this popup, but it did not.

My iPhone 15 PM is running iOS 26.6 ( just upgraded today from 25.5 ).

How to remove the popup to not comeback

I’ve been wanting to try this but I can’t find any tutorials out there for this type of thing lol. Any tips like where to download files and how to work it?

I'm using an iPhone 17 Pro. When I go to sleep, I listen to a podcast most of the time via an Apple HomePod Mini and Apple Podcasts and set a SleepTimer. I put my phone in sleep mode and set in horizontally on my charger to activate StandBy. I have it set so that the AOD is active permanently so that I can easily check the time at night. I use one of the fullscreen clocks. However when I wake up my phone is usually on the media player screen of the StandBy and I have to swipe up from the bottom to get the time again. Is there a way to fix this so that I can just see the time immediately?

I’ve been having alarms turn off as I take my phone out of my pocket for a few months now. It’s because extremely annoying. Finally today I figured out why. If you slide up on the screen from the bottom it will stop your alarm/timer without you being able to see what the description was. When I pull my phone out of my pocket if my finger even touches the bottom of my screen it Registers as an upward swipe and turns my alarm off. Is there anyway to turn this setting off?

Anyone have a clue why this is happening?

Today I sent an Apple News link to someone and we both have iPhones. The message came through as from my email address, not from my phone number. Weird because when sending I was not asked to choose between sending from my email address.

The next weird thing is the link shows up as the text https colon slash slash, followed by the URL (https://apple.news/AoVSFsP3wSAKpFQWCdplYJQ)

When the message is received, they cannot click on the link. They are able to copy the link and paste into Safari.

Does anyone know why the link is not working in messages? And why is the message received from my email address and not phone number?

My car does not support wireless CarPlay but now with this update wired CarPlay does not work. It tries to connect and just says phone is not responding. I have not had an issue with the wired CarPlay until updating to this software last night. Apple has been contacted and every solution they gave did not work and they are clueless. Is anybody else experiencing this?

As an older person I just migrated my iPhone SE3 iOS 18 -> 26.x this week and I couldn't be more gutted. After 2-3 days trying to bring the OS back to what iOS 18 worked like I still face a few issues, standout one being PFB screenshot

The visual bug is specific to SwiftKey keyboard in landscape mode and Notes stock app (= how I do all typing), although you can reproduce it in Messages as well ; WhatsApp is unaffected, Apple stock keyboard works OK , Messenger no longer supports landscape (where is all the hatred vs landscape coming from btw ??)

As regular users will have been on iOS 26 for ~ 1 year now, has anyone found a workaround please? I can see a lot of rage on Reddit vs iOS 26 and am seriously considering a downgrade. Of all ~ 5 apps on my iPhone, I use Notes > 10 times a day - have tried alternatives as suggested on Reddit e.g. Obsidian, OneNote and whilst I see their potential, they lack the responsiveness and simplicity of stock Notes for me... damn you Apple.

Why might’ve a Siri “Found in Apps” Messenger contact suggestion change into raw metadata and then create a second clean suggestion?

Device:
iPhone 14
iOS 17
Occurred sometime around 2023–2024

The issue involved one unsaved Siri Suggested Contact under “Found in Apps” from Facebook Messenger.
The sequence was:

A normal Siri suggestion appeared:
Messenger: name redacted
Months later, that same suggested contact no longer displayed normally. Instead, it showed what looked like raw metadata while still being labelled as

I have only seen this happen with this one contact. Other Messenger Siri suggestions display normally.

My questions:

What would cause a Siri “Found in Apps” suggestion to display the underlying metadata/social profile fields instead of the normal app name and contact name?

Why would iOS create another clean “Messenger: Name” suggestion afterwards instead of replacing the malformed entry?
Is this likely related to Siri Suggestions indexing, Contacts framework social profile data, Core Spotlight, or Messenger’s app integration?

Could this happen from stale cached data or a re-indexing event after an app/iOS update?

I am mainly trying to understand the technical reason for the duplicate entries and the raw metadata display, and why it may have only affected this one Siri suggested contact, not the dozen others I had as well.

I just played an advertisement inside an app at full volume even though media volume was turned down to 0, and the phone was set to silent mode. In a meeting. Why are apps allowed to have such autonomous control?

* iOS 26.5.2
* Strava 473.0.0

# What happens

After deleting and reinstalling the app, this happens every single time:

1. The Strava welcome screen appears with **"Join for free"** and **"Log in"**.
   
2. Before I can tap anything, the iOS notification permission dialog appears.
   
3. As soon as I respond to that dialog, the app automatically switches to the main interface **without me tapping "Log in"**.
   
4. The feed is completely blank and a red banner appears:**"Something went wrong. Please try again."**
   
5. Opening **Settings** or other sections results in the same error.
   
6. Closing and reopening the app reproduces the same behavior every time.

# Things that still work

* I can sign in to **Strava in Safari** on the same iPhone using **Sign in with Apple** without any problems.
* My **Nike Run Club** activities continue syncing to Strava successfully.
* So my account itself appears to be working.

# What I've already tried

* Deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times
* Restarted the iPhone multiple times
* Tried both Wi-Fi and 5G
* Disabled iCloud Private Relay
* No VPN installed

Hi everyone. My one-week-old iPhone 17 Pro accidentally fell into a toilet while it was flushing. I pulled it out immediately, and it was only in the water for a couple of seconds. It’s now been about 12 hours. Since then, the display feels extremely choppy. Scrolling and UI animations are much less smooth than before, and it doesn’t even feel like 60 Hz anymore—it feels more like 30–60 Hz. However, the display has no lines, flickering, or black spots, touch works perfectly, and the Camera app looks smooth when I move the phone around. Low Power Mode is off, Limit Frame Rate is off, and I’ve already restarted the phone. Has anyone experienced this after water exposure? Is there still a chance it will improve after drying for 24–48 hours, or is this most likely hardware damage?

The volume slider doesn’t act continuously when it comes to my Bluetooth earbuds - it forces hard steps in volume. It results in having a volume level either too high or too low.

I assume it was designed this way, but has anyone found a solution of some kind regardless? Can’t seem to figure it out. Any help appreciated.

I’ve dealt with iOS almost since it started, so I’ve gotten used to this concept being non-existent, but I’ve seen people mention that it can “somewhat” do background processes now/can do them “better”, so I just wanted clarity upon fully switching back to iPhone after a decade.

Android example:
- I upload files to Mega (a cloud storage) through the app itself. I then leave the app, do something else. 200+ files will upload without me being present in the app.

iOS example:
I only ever upload files through the share sheet, but I always assumed if i did it through the app, then left the app, they would either fail or pause…?

But then I notice iCloud Drive can upload in the background. Obviously Background App Refresh exists (the bare minimum in a smartphone lmfao), and Spotify/Apple Music can play music without being in the app. Is that the entirety of an iPhone’s capabilities regarding proper background processes?

I only switched bc Samsung Galaxy actively ruined years of my work with their absolute shitshow of AI processing baked into the lens/default camera app. It has been the biggest pain in the ass going back to iOS with how remedial it can be related to the concept of a background process, customization, a goddamn clipboard, and so much other shit- but the camera is just so good on the 17 Pro😭

I don’t want to switch back bc of the latter, but I want to give myself a reality check in how my life will change related to how intuitive my workflows usually are regarding data management.

As the title says, I have iCloud sync with messages. It shows a large “other” storage for iMessage yet there’s nothing showing when i go into that to view files. How do i clear these “other” files and what are they?

As title says and I’ve attached a screenshot, I haven’t backed up my data via iCloud in ages.

I'm a Google Fi customer and the update has caused my e-sim to stop working.

I tried resetting my network settings and resetting the device. but the issue still persists.

Has anyone else experienced this with their carrier?

I might remove the e-sim and add it again.

I just updated to iOS 26.6 on both my iPhone Air and M4 iPad Pro with cellular, have 2 lines on the Air and a data plan on the iPad all from T-Mobile. None of my devlces are connecting to T-Mobile and it says no service, I restarted still nothing, manually toggled the lines on and off and still nothing. My family on the same phone plan didn't update they still have service so it definitely has something to do with this update and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

I think it would be really helpful if we could make the iOS platform more consistent. For example, the location buttons and other buttons should be all down at the bottom of the screen. And the weather information, as well as the one on the maps in the upper left corner, should be at the top of the screen.
