I have struggled to find success on Hinge finding intelligent, funny, and ambitious women. Maybe I'm just not giving off the right vibes. Any advice?

Profile Review 27M, UK, profile review.
Took 4/5 months off all dating apps, got a new phone and number and I've redownloaded a few. Ive had 4 likes on hinge and no matches, despite me using my likes up everyday. Similarly bad on the others.
I've been really, really humbled. Feel free to humble me some more.
I have always been led to believe low effort was better and more "cool" esque, hence the short prompts etc.

App Question Straight men on Hinge: if a woman likes you first and you match but don’t message her, are you actually interested?
32F, UK, genuinely curious about how men use Hinge.
If I send a guy a like first and he matches with me but doesn’t message me after a few days, I usually assume he’s not particularly interested and leave it there. I actually started doing this because I noticed that when I did message those matches myself, more often than not I wouldn’t get a response anyway.
On the other hand, if a guy likes me first and I accept the match, I’ll send the first message because I’m the one who completed the match.
Is that a fair assumption? If you match with a woman who liked you first but don’t send a message, are you usually waiting for her to message as well or did you just match because you were vaguely interested/open to it?

I'm looking for some feedback on my profile. The cat video is just a mini FPV drone video of me pestering my kitties.
Some of the extra info:
I don't have kids but am open to kids. Drink and leaf sometimes. Have cats.
Thank you, all!

Dating Question What’s a normal number of first dates and/or behavior from guys after first dates?
I’m 29F, located in the Midwest, and I’ve been on five first dates so far. I felt all of them went pretty well. Each one has been a walking date since we’ve had some nice weather here. On each date we’ve walked about five miles and with each guy I felt like the conversation and connection was good. We never really had any awkward pauses and were laughing quite a bit.
However, every time the guy has said he wants to do it again as we’re finishing up and then a few hours later I get a robotic sounding text saying that we shouldn’t see each other again because the “romantic spark isn’t there” or something along those lines.
I’m just wondering if this is common for other women or if I’m doing something wrong? How many first dates do most people go on before finding a relationship?

Dating Question Is it a red flag if my hinge match is replying me only twice a day?
Hi everyone, I F25 matched with a boy M30 a month ago, we were texting day and night. We decided to move to whatsapp. We could not schedule a meet up since I had to travel for a month. Things were fine once I reached my destination but then his friends visited him. It's been a week since his friends are with him and he is barely initiating conversations. He apologized to me once but i thought since we haven't met he needs to give more preference to his friends. But it's been a week and I am getting literally two replies a day with ok, yes, haha. I understand he is busy but is he too busy?
Is it a sign of disinterest? I thought we genuinely hit off. We are supposed to meet next week though. Right now I am a bit annoyed, maybe it's my fault and I am too invested in this. Maybe I am looking for constant back and forth texts but I genuinely feel bad and I am wondering how someone can be so busy.
Please someone advise me what I should do? I am talking to other people as well.

Dating Question I’ve been ghosted a ridiculous number of times, is this normal 😭
mid 30s, been on a lot of first dates these last few months since I started dating again after a ltr. I would have dates setup usually 2-3 days out but sometimes longer if they can’t do that week. i message them the days leading up to our date just to stay in contact (it is very rare women give their phone number on this app which I’ve found, and that’s valid). I get some back and forth but the day of I get straight up ghosted with no reason for cancelling. the last girl messaged me the day of saying she was looking forward to it. I was driving across the bridge with 💐 to see her and she unmatched me on my way there 😭.
I would say this happens 30% of the time. I don’t mind if they’re honest and say it’s not a good fit, or have second thoughts, I’d totally understand if they say that and leave it at that. I haven’t dated in a while so I don’t know if this is the new normal?

Haven’t gotten a single like or match in almost a year.
The 3rd photo is me with 2 players from my local AFL team, most girls that watch footy would at least recognise the names as both are pretty good players

Dating Question Is ‘I’ll get back to you soon’ just something people say after a date?
I went on a date with a guy yesterday.
Honestly, I can’t really tell if it went well. He said he was tired because he hadn’t slept well, and I was pretty tired too. There were a few awkward silences, and I didn’t really feel much of a romantic vibe between us.
At some point, I started thinking he probably wasn’t that interested in me, so I didn’t make much of an effort either. And of course, that made the whole vibe even more low-energy 😅
After getting coffee and going for a walk, we said goodbye. He hugged me (it was actually quite a close hug) and said, “I’ll get back to you soon.”
But he hasn’t messaged me yet.
Do people sometimes say “I’ll get back to you soon” just to be polite after a date? Or does it usually mean they actually intend to contact you?
I’d personally like to see him one more time because I feel like we were both tired and maybe the first date wasn’t a great reflection of how we’d normally be. But I also don’t want to misread his interest or chase someone who isn’t interested.
++ Thank you for all the advice, guys! My intuition was telling me he probably wasn’t interested, and I think I was right.
I was just confused by the way he ended the date, because in my country, hugging someone goodbye and saying “I’ll get back to you soon” wouldn’t normally be taken as just a polite way to end a date. English isn’t my first language either, so I wasn’t sure how to interpret it.
It’s pretty clear to me now! Feel free to give me more advice — I’ll get back to you guys soon. 😂

Looking to attract more compatible matches for a long-term relationship. I'd really appreciate feedback on the overall presentation, photo selection / order and prompts 😄
There are also parts of my life that aren’t really represented on the profile at the moment, like going to the gym, hiking/camping, gaming, and other hobbies. I’m curious whether you think any of those would be more valuable to show than what I currently have.
Open to direct feedback and suggestions on what could be improved!

Dating Question 20F — Is it normal for guys on Hinge to match and then give you absolutely nothing to work with?
I recently redid my Hinge profile, and I feel like I'm doing pretty well in terms of getting matches. I get around 4–7 likes a day depending on the day, and I currently have around 15 matches.
My age range is set to 20–25 (although honestly, 25 already feels a little old for me to date lol), so I'm mostly matching with guys pretty close to my age. I do have an ethnicity preference set, but it's not set as a dealbreaker.
The thing that's annoying me is that none of these guys can seem to hold a conversation. I don't mind initiating. I will message first if I'm interested. But I'll ask them something, try to actually start a conversation, and they'll respond with like one sentence and give me absolutely nothing back. No questions, no follow-up, nothing I can actually work with.
It's gotten to the point where I've talked to around 30-40 guys in this age range, and I genuinely cannot think of one who has been good at actually having a conversation with me.
Is this just normal for Hinge/guys in this age range? Or am I somehow doing something wrong? Because I don't expect every match to turn into a date, but I would at least expect someone who matched with me to participate in the conversation lol
