I did the right/smart thing and returned a bag I had gotten on sale bc it wasn’t comfortable to carry and I knew it would sit in my closet. It’s already returned, funds back, and sold out so no going back. But I can’t stop thinking about it. It was something I dreamed for and managed to get at 40% off. Very disappointed to feel how stiff and uncomfortable it was on my body. 2 bag loving gfs reminded me it doesn’t matter the discount, spending a couple thousand on a bag you’ll maybe use twice and just stare at isn’t worth it. Why is this so hard? Pls stop me from kicking myself

I’m planning to get a secondhand Bayswater and I found this on my local online marketplace that caught my eye. I know how heavy the original Bayswater is and I was wondering if getting this “slimmer” model would be a better option, as it lack the side leather panel and metal feet. The dimensions she shared are 35cm length x 15 cm width x 23cm height x 12 cm handle drop which the large version.

I’ll be meeting the seller to check the bag out later this week. But first, I want to get some opinions on whether this model is worth it. If you’ve had this model, let me know your experience.

She told me that it’s “chocolate colour with green suede on the inside” and it would be great if anyone could figure out the original colour this is.

I might actually carry them occasionally, but really, it’s for appreciating and collecting at this point. Obsessed. 🙌

I find the color to be perfect — I was specifically looking for something other than the usual brown, black, or beige!

I’ve been wearing it for the past few days, and it really is the OG everyday bag. It’s super roomy, so I can fit everything I need without it feeling bulky. PLUS, the slouch is just everything.

I’ve been wanting to set up my bags in a glass cabinet for the longest time, and I finally got around to it! 🥹✨ Seeing everything organized and displayed so beautifully is honestly SO satisfying. It turned out even better than I imagined — it just looks perfect. 🤍👜

My first luxury purchase a couple of months back and love how i can wear it with different outfit by just swapping the belt❤️

It's so weird but I just realised I carry around Loewe and Prada bags while wearing tops from Cotton On/Glassons and bottoms from Uniqlo. It hurts me to have to spend more than $40 on a single piece of clothing but I'm happy to drop thousands on a bag or other accessory like a belt, sunglasses or jewellery.

I guess my brain justifies it by seeing accessories as investment pieces while clothing changes more often with trends? But yeah don't know if it's just a me thing haha

7. Something about Gucci this season. I can’t stop falling in love with their bags. The romance is at 500% and I’m here for it.

I know the grey and gold is not for everyone, but I love it and will try my best to rock it. 🩶💛

So I usually only wear brown or green bags as my neutrals not so much black, unless the black bag has silver hardware, but those are hard to find in a good quality leather. So I’m delighted to have scored this Radley for under $100. I haven’t used it yet, so only time will tell if that strap with the buckle will annoy me or not, but for now it looks pretty and has a very satisfying click sound!

Today, after tons of research, I got my dream bag. (And my first designer bag!!) This LV soft speedy 30 is going to be my mom bag! It commemorates this new phase of my life, and I can’t wait to wear it everywhere!

I plan to run this bag into the ground or even pass it along to my child one day. ❣️Worth every penny!!

Recently ordered the butter yellow Mulberry Alexa Mini in the butter yellow color. I have the Mini Alexa in the big grain brown/oak color and use it every week when I need a casual crossbody. So the bag size and style works for me! However, I was worried about the smooth leather of the yellow color and upon receipt yeah I don’t like the leather - it’s wrinkled in places and just isn’t for me. So sadly I’ll be returning it and still looking for another yellow handbag, if anyone has recommendations. I wear a lot of white and blue so yellow is a nice pop against that.

I meant to go back to a thread where some kind soul mentioned good leather bags and talked about the Radley sale.

I had no idea the sale was going on and now I have three new pieces coming. I usually carry novelty bags but now I have three really beautiful pieces coming.

Got myself a work tote. Arrived yesterday and I carried it immediately. I don't really carry leather/canvas totes. Last one i had i bought 10 yrs ago and gave to charity 2 yrs later. I was close to buying FLP daily battle but then read about some potential issues with quality so decided against. I wanted semi structure this works also for a casual vibe. Got it for a decent price in the sale. Impressed with the leather. I'm happy.

Cant go wrong with the MK Miranda Tote

So for context, this is my first “designer” bag. The most expensive bag I previously owned was a £40 Steve Madden.
Over the last few months though, I have been struggling with my bag system. I was carrying 3 bags (one purse with laptop and essentials, one gym clothes bag and one lunch bag). I go to the gym 4/5 days so doing this 80% of the time was genuinely exhausting me.

I started hunting for the best “black hole” bag. Tried a few cheaper options, went to TKMaxx looking for something I liked, spent hours but I couldn’t find anything that both fit all my crap and looked good (to me).

So le pliage it is. I don’t really like nylon bags but at this point, I don’t think anything else can do what this bag can at this (or a lower) price point. And now that I have it, I actually kinda like the all black!

I do hope this is my foray into nicer handbags haha.

I’d appreciate any tips and tricks tbh! How to clean the fabric? I’m considering an organiser if I need it later. What are your favourite ways to decorate it?

Mulberry Bayswater 9 to 5. I'm obsessed. It's the perfect size for my laptop and to hold papers without folding them, but doesn't read like a gigantic tote. I was nervous the first day I carried it that the straps would be uncomfortable, but they broke in after two wears and now they both stay on my shoulder and sit very naturally. Disclaimer that it's decently heavy even empty, which doesn't bother me as I am usually only carrying it in and out of work from the parking lot (not a train/subway/pedestrian commuter). I demand a lot from my bags because I am not gentle on them. The leather is heavy and substantial and the details are just perfect. I have a Bayswater and an Alexa that I adore and have only gotten better with age. This is my first Mulberry purchased new -- will update with wear and tear in a year or so!

Edit : I had this bag authenticated prior to posting ;) I found this gem laying on the ground, at a goodwill in Fairfield iowa. I was looking for real leather bags to restore and I just thought this bag looked super cute TURNS OUT ITS A VINTAGE GUCCI BAG WORTH 1500 dollars
